This was my first getaway with my sister. The good was good except the teriyaki wings which were salty and did not taste like teriyaki.

Get the $60 all you can eat and drink tapas. The selection of included food and drinks is huge and the service is quick. Our waiter was great at checking in to see if we needed anything else and making menu recommendations. I will definitely be back. The food is good and it's a great value for the city.

Overrated!
Not impressed with any of it.
Sloppt service staff, too loud to have a conversation even at 7.30pm in the evening.

A great spot for brunch! The mimosas are strong and there are plenty of option on the menu for the bottomless brunch.

The food was bland and ingredients for salads were not correctly portioned. Compared to a few years ago when I had the same brunch, this time was definitely not as good. The waitress was not super professional. We did get our food fast and some dishes were big enough to only get 2 and not need to do the unlimited option.

WE were there on NYE and the service was not good. Our waiter was great, very nice and helpful. We let him choose dishes for us (which were all great), he even told us what not to order, brought us free shots and gave us a discount (because of the poor service). Maybe there were a lot of walk-ins but for some reason the staff was very unprepared and disorganized. Staff continually brought food to our table that we did not order, drinks and things took far too long, and we even received desert without ordering it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Masa 14! The food was outstanding and the service was first rate. We really enjoyed the small plate menu. We had such a great time that we decided to return on Sunday to try their brunch. When we walked in on Sunday we were greeted by the manager (Paola) and she called us by name. We were very impressed! We had another great meal - their brunch menu is very imaginative and the service again was first rate. At the end of of our visit, Paola stopped at our table and presented us with Chef Sandoval’s cookbook. It was such a nice gesture and quite unexpected. With a manager like her it’s understandable why this is such a great restaurant!

Second time to Masa 14. Good deal on Groupon. Limited selection on "endless" drinks. How about including sangrea at a tapas joint? Food is up and down. Service is slow.

we were there late on a weeknight, so it was pretty empty. The food was ok, but definitely not as good as it used to be. Brussels sprouts were overdressed, and the chicken satay was sort of tasteless-- with a weird vinaigrette sauce, instead of the customary peanut. Plenty of better places to go on 14th Street.

It was our first time to Masa 14. Food was great especially the grilled octopus and the prosciutto flatbread. Service was a little slow though we had only 2 tables of guests. There were many plates of food served to us which we didn’t order. For those that we ordered, We waited for more than 20 for our order of shiitake mushroom bao. Desserts were okay although they were overpriced for the size served.

One of my favorite bottomless brunches. Never fails to please. Our favorites are the breakfast tacos, corn fritters, deviled eggs, citrus salad, cauliflower, and biscuits. We were surprisingly disappointed with the BLT (good flavor but very little bacon) and the chicken torta (large portion, but completely bland). Love that you can get both mimosas and bloody marys. Overall, a great dining experience and decent value.

We were pleased to find out about the unlimited tapas and drink menu. We had way too much food. The tapas were hit or miss, some great ones and some so-so. The drinks were overall pretty decent. We have a pretty good time there. Conveniently located and not too crowded or loud.

I was expecting more after seeing the overall rating on OpenTable! We ordered the unlimited food option only, not drinks.

The servers and shift manager were polite, but the food runner was rude. I'm not sure what the confusion was, but I explained that I had an allergy to milk (cow/goat milk products) and all of my food came out with only egg ingredients excluded. And each time I told them it was wrong, they took the food back but didn't replace it with the correct plate.

The food I did try (guacamole deviled eggs, the BLT, kimchi fried rice, olive dip, chorizo hash) was all pretty mediocre - edible but definitely not great.

The place had a great vibe though! Good music but still quiet enough to hear people talking.

Under-whelmed with the food and service. The bartender was our server and he never introduced himself. He was polite but didn't give us run down of what the restaurant is and the type of food. He did advise us to start with light dishes however the food lacked flavor. He took a long time delivering our drinks. Our food took awhile too. Not sure why when the place was not busy.

With a couple exceptions, the gluten free menu items are not good. Wouldn’t recommend. Don’t put gluten free items on the menu if you’re just going to remove sauces / elements without much thought into how it will impact the overall taste of the dish.

The food was not good. Everything was served cold to the table. Our waitress was super sweet and we loved her. Management comped the food so we only paid for drinks so they took care of it but would have much rather had a hot meal and paid for it. Hopefully it was just an off day.

The quality has significantly gone down since the last time I was there. The menu has changed, the food quality is not as good. 3/4 of the new menu is premium drinks. What happened to the food and quality selection? Foreshadows what happened with Beacon Bar and Grill.

Most of the tapas bars on 14th were all booked up and Masa 14 still had openings! So glad they did, we picked the $60 all you can eat/drink option and it was worth the money! Our server was incredible and our food was always prompt! I am celiac and I liked how many options they had.

Masa is a great mix of spanish/asian flare. We did the unlimited tapas and it was well worth it. Everything was delicious. The waitress was super sweet (Tracy) and while we ordered a lot she paced the food for us which was great. Ambiance was cool, it's a bit loud so not necessarily where I would take a first date. The bar was chill and I would definitely recommend this spot.

What happened!!!
I went to this place during the summer and the food was great!! Returned on Saturday and it was not good. Food cold and it took 20 min for someone to come to our table once seated. That’s one thing about DC restaurant no consistency ):

I had heard good things about this place. However, our table of 2 waited for 35 minutes despite having a reservation. We never got the desserts that we had ordered. Service was severely lacking. I wouldn't go back and wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anyone. Plenty of better choices around town.

Came here for their $45 all you can eat tapas dinner and again Masa did not disappoint. The food was great and the service was equally as great. This was a Monday night so it was pretty quiet in there but I have been there on occasion when they are pretty busy. The noise level is never an issue. I always recommend this place first to anyone who texts me about dinner recommendations. To the Masa 14 team, Keep up the great work.

Masa 14 has long been a Sunday Brunch Staple for me but this time I was let down. We were seated in wobbly bar height tables on the 2nd Floor facing the door which would usher in cold outside air every now and again.

The menu seems to have gotten slimmer, not so many food offerings as usual and the food came out cold which wasn't very nice. When asked how we were enjoying our meals by the server, we told him it was good but cold, and we really didn't like the egg dishes b/c of the food temperature. He came out with warmer eggs the next go 'round.

Overall, I won't be reserving a table at Masa 14 anymore. If my friends want to go I will probably join in but I won't suggest it as a destination any longer.

The restaurant is fairly noisy, but t in a great location and good scene inside. Interesting mix of Asian/Latin fusion. The spicy tuna temaki hand roll was good, not great. Could have used more tuna and spice. The Korean grilled flat-iron steak was the highlight. At medium rare It was tasty. The pork belly steamed buns were crispy (almost too crispy like bacon) but not enough pork for the bun. It could have used more of the pineapple filling, as well. Drinks plan to wait a long time if you order Sake Martini. It didn’t arrive until we were almost finished with the food. If you are very hungry, get the unlimited tapas, as it’s worth it if ordering more than 3-4 dishes per person. Overall I was not impressed, but would try again, especially on a nice night night to enjoy the rooftop.

The food must be good here if I continue to spill it on myself every time I go... I've tasted most of the unlimited tapas items and have only really had 3 that I didn't enjoy [crispy brussells sprouts (tasted burnt), chicken skewers (dry) and pork & beef meatballs (just didn't work for me)].
The hostess has always been pleasant during my visits too.
