We went to Masa 14 for their brunch!! Amazing!! The food was yummy, the staff kept the mamosas coming. Great experience
We had a great time this past Sunday. It was Mother's Day and my mom especially loved it and the staff at Masa made her day extra special. Thanks!
This restaurant was recommended to me but I was not impressed at all. The service was good but that is about it. The food was very average and there was no ambiance . I would not go back .
Great place ! Went for brunch with my book club gals, we had the prix fixe option. Our reservation was honored promptly, the service was good despite the busy brunch rush. The only issue was the noise - I prefer a quieter dining spot and sometimes we couldn't hear each other talk. But overall the food was good and I would come back.
I was late to my reservation and they still accommodated me . Really appreciate that ! Loved all the brunch selections ! Also the brunch is $25 if you don’t drink ! Definitely enjoyed myself ! Will definitely come back !
I dont know why this place has great reviews. Its 3 star at best. At one point they told us they ran out of mimosas at a bottomless mimosa brunch???How. They shoved a ton of tables downstairs to sit more people which made it awkward to weave in between people to get up. Food you could tell had been sitting out. At one point I asked to return the pork loin because it was so cold.
Great spot for a good brunch deal! Food came out quickly and drinks were constantly being poured.
We requested rooftop seating and were warned that service might not up to their norm because there was only one server upstairs. With the sunny weather and feeling good after receiving an inspirational message from Vernon Jordan that morning we decided to take our chances and headed to the roof. We definitely made the right choice, good vibes and views. We all chose the unlimited brunch option, giving us full reign of the food, mimosa and Bloody Mary menu options for 2 hours. The manager pitched in to help the one server assigned to the rooftop, so service didn’t suffer too much. We tried most everything, the standouts were the fried chicken, chilaquiles, churros and carrot cake. We enjoyed the French toast and crispy potatoes but both required extra sauce to be truly enjoyable. The kimchi fried rice was a huge letdown, it wasn’t very spicy and DOES NOT contain any kimchi...I believe a name change is in order. Nice setting to while away 2 hours on a lazy Sunday. Overall the food and service were good and it was a pretty good brunch value for DC.
My friends and I went for a birthday dinner this weekend. Great experience. Our server Carlos went above and beyond to make sure the food and drinks kept flowing. I will definitely be back.
My second time getting dinner at Masa 14. It is a great place. Definitely on the pricier side but worth it. The cocktails/drinks are really good. Food is great too.
Great brunch with small plates. Excellent service and if you like chilaquiles...you'll love this place!
The portions were small but shareable. We came for their all you can eat brunch. It was an a la carte menu, so I got what I wanted. The drinks were delicious, and strong. If you are interested in a change from the traditional american brunch, this is a great place to go!
Great vibes. Delicious plates. Not a HUGE variety and nothing stood out as must have, but really great food nonetheless.
The food was nice and they have enough options to try, plus the portion is more than fair. There is also the option to sit inside and outside. The service started a little slow, but then the server was faster and was able to check on us more often. The only thing that I didn't like much was the beverages... All their mimosas, were room temperature and it was a warm day, so I had to ask for ice which I never do.
Have been here multiple times - this time the service was extremely slow and was served not what was ordered. Food was still good, but dinner for two shouldn't take 2+ hours
I love the different choices you have, that provided me to taste different culture foods, my favorite is the glazed salmon sushi, octopus and steak and egg fried rice!!! Will return qgain
This place is great for those who like tasty small portions. I've only been here for brunch and each time was consistent. The drinks are decent and the service was pretty good. They could lighten the juice in the mimosas and maybe add 1 or 2 extra drinks to the brunch special. I would certainly return.
The music is not that great. I do not think there's a DJ on the premises. If you wanna eat, drink, and chat, this is certainly the place to come.
Amazing place to eat! One of my favorite restaurants in DC!!
We had a group of 5 and saw they had all you can eat and drink for 64 which we thought was a pretty good deal. The waiter was really nice took all of our drink orders and food orders right away. Our drinks came after 15 minutes which was ok and 25 minutes later we had some of our food show up. That was fine but one friend in our group didn’t get anything he ordered. 30 minutes go by and nothing else shows up. We tell the waiter and he’s very laxed and just quietly says it’ll probably come out soon. Another 15 minutes and no other food comes out. Our friend is starving at this time and nothing else comes out. So we’re all getting irritated and we tell the waiter again and still very laxed. So we eventually got all our food. I mean everything was tasty except for the fried rice was tasteless. The drinks kept coming but we noticed there was less and less alcohol with each round. By reading most of the reviews, the service needs to be improved! We noticed it wasn’t even busy on a Saturday night, while every restaurant we walked by on 14th street was jam packed. I’m sure if the service doesn’t improve Masa 14 won’t be around much longer, especially since all the new restaurants are stepping up there food and “service” game!
Food was great, but I had such a weird experience with the service. There was a man (I think the manager) who greeted me and showed me to my seat. He also asked for my drink order before our waitress showed up. I gave him my drink order and he asked for my ID and I gave it to him. He proceeds to say "I can't tell if this is fake...it's so hard to tell anymore..." he holds it up to the light and is inspecting it. I start to get annoyed. I'm 25.... not 21. I usually don't even get ID'ed. Is this suppose to be a nice restaurant? You are accusing me of using a fake ID? Seriously? I'm ready to drop a bunch of money on a restaurant that's accusing me of fraud? Wow. It's a shame because the food was pretty good.
The cocktails were small and low-medium in quality.
The place was nice, the service, a delicious food, i'll be back soon.
great brunch with great staff
God awful! First had to wait in line 10 mins before anyone talked to us to seat us with a reservation. We get sat upstairs, order drinks and they come out, no lie 30 mins later 1 by 1 by 1. We ordered an appetizer at the same time which came much later. When we finally ordered dinner that took another hour and the food was awful...small portions and tasteless and we all left hungry. Then they rush us and kick us out after they took so damn long saying they are turning the upstairs into a club. WTF! This place USED to be good. Now I know why there are always reservations available 15 mins before you go on a Saturday night. This place should just shut down and move on. TERRIBLE!
Food was great. Bar service was extremely slow. Also, the bar was out of something as basic as vermouth.
The brunch was a great value. A third of the dishes were really great, a third were very good, and a final third were good but not noteworthy. Service was fast and friendly. We will return.
Overall, we had a great time! The hostess made a rude comment during check-in about our partying being 10 minutes late not knowing about the St. Patrick Day traffic commute. Other than that, the service and food was amazing. We enjoyed the fast service and delicious menu selections.
The restaurant was amazing but the parking was terrible but not the restaurants fault
I went here for brunch and at first it took the server very long to come over and greet us but once she did she was very nice and apologized for taking a while. The food and drink options at brunch were also very good the only complaint would be that they seem to be understaffed for brunch which slows down the service. It wasn’t too slow but when you go and pay for bottomless you expect to constantly have food and drinks coming you do not expect to be waiting very long. Beside that our server was very nice and did do her best. At the end of the day i had a great time.
Came here for dinner and choose the bottomless tapas and drinks option. The food was great, and the drinks were STRONG. There was no disappointment. Food kept coming out in a very timely fashion, and our waitress Dora was amazing. Will definitively be back.
You can get much better food for the same price at most places in DC.
The wait staff may have been short because we would’ve liked to have seen our server more often however, the vibe, food and quality overall were really great. Will definitely be back for the food.
The worst. Honestly. Drinks arrived after we were all done with the food. Waited about 45 min for the first round of drinks to arrive but we were already done with the food. Food was not even worth eating. Barely edible for a restaurant on 14th St. The waitress would barely check on us, she’d get a new order of drinks but only asked 2 people out of a table of 10, leave and we’d have to wait for the drinks to be ready and her to come back to order more for the rest of the table. And the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Never seen this before. We booked for a birthday. The table could only cheer the birthday boy after 45 min and not everyone had all their drinks yet. No candle. More wait overall than actual drinking and eating.
We decided to sit at the bar and had the best service and the best time. It's bright and sunny and it overall had good vibes all around.
The service was outstanding. We came right after brunch but were sat right away. The drinks were on happy hour and were amazing! Both our server and the manager made sure everything came out in quickly and that we were happy with it. The food was delicious. We cannot wait to go back!
Definitely fell off...the food was meh. The best thing was the french toast. My friends were mad I picked this place cause I've raved about it in the past but its been a few years since I moved from the area and what used to be really good, wasn't anymore. Pretty sad to scratch it off the list. I gave it 3 stars cause the mimosas weren't particularly good either but they were strong. DC just has way too many good places to eat especially brunch.
Food was delicious ! Did the brunch all you can eat for $39 and it was worth it. Had bottomless mango mimosa which was such a delicious twist to the traditional.
The brunch is really great, with the options of all-you-can-eat food (and also all-you-can drink to accompany it, if you wish).
What I thought was really funny is that if you pick the all-you-can-drink option you still you can have for example unlimited mimosas ... but have to pay extra for coffee. No big deal, but funny.
We went for bottomless brunch and had a fantastic time with a group. I think the table next to us judged a little at how many plates we were going through but our server was lovely and took great care of us. Will come again! Thank you!
Perfect bottomless brunch.
