Overall, we had a great time! The hostess made a rude comment during check-in about our partying being 10 minutes late not knowing about the St. Patrick Day traffic commute. Other than that, the service and food was amazing. We enjoyed the fast service and delicious menu selections.
The restaurant was amazing but the parking was terrible but not the restaurants fault
I went here for brunch and at first it took the server very long to come over and greet us but once she did she was very nice and apologized for taking a while. The food and drink options at brunch were also very good the only complaint would be that they seem to be understaffed for brunch which slows down the service. It wasn’t too slow but when you go and pay for bottomless you expect to constantly have food and drinks coming you do not expect to be waiting very long. Beside that our server was very nice and did do her best. At the end of the day i had a great time.
Came here for dinner and choose the bottomless tapas and drinks option. The food was great, and the drinks were STRONG. There was no disappointment. Food kept coming out in a very timely fashion, and our waitress Dora was amazing. Will definitively be back.
You can get much better food for the same price at most places in DC.
The wait staff may have been short because we would’ve liked to have seen our server more often however, the vibe, food and quality overall were really great. Will definitely be back for the food.
The worst. Honestly. Drinks arrived after we were all done with the food. Waited about 45 min for the first round of drinks to arrive but we were already done with the food. Food was not even worth eating. Barely edible for a restaurant on 14th St. The waitress would barely check on us, she’d get a new order of drinks but only asked 2 people out of a table of 10, leave and we’d have to wait for the drinks to be ready and her to come back to order more for the rest of the table. And the restaurant wasn’t even busy. Never seen this before. We booked for a birthday. The table could only cheer the birthday boy after 45 min and not everyone had all their drinks yet. No candle. More wait overall than actual drinking and eating.
We decided to sit at the bar and had the best service and the best time. It's bright and sunny and it overall had good vibes all around.
The service was outstanding. We came right after brunch but were sat right away. The drinks were on happy hour and were amazing! Both our server and the manager made sure everything came out in quickly and that we were happy with it. The food was delicious. We cannot wait to go back!
Definitely fell off...the food was meh. The best thing was the french toast. My friends were mad I picked this place cause I've raved about it in the past but its been a few years since I moved from the area and what used to be really good, wasn't anymore. Pretty sad to scratch it off the list. I gave it 3 stars cause the mimosas weren't particularly good either but they were strong. DC just has way too many good places to eat especially brunch.
Food was delicious ! Did the brunch all you can eat for $39 and it was worth it. Had bottomless mango mimosa which was such a delicious twist to the traditional.
The brunch is really great, with the options of all-you-can-eat food (and also all-you-can drink to accompany it, if you wish).
What I thought was really funny is that if you pick the all-you-can-drink option you still you can have for example unlimited mimosas ... but have to pay extra for coffee. No big deal, but funny.
We went for bottomless brunch and had a fantastic time with a group. I think the table next to us judged a little at how many plates we were going through but our server was lovely and took great care of us. Will come again! Thank you!
Perfect bottomless brunch.
Great food and drinks! $39 for unlimited food and adult beverages!!!
This used to be a hip chic spot-no more. Server completely uninformed on menu. Showed no care or concern. Had to repeatedly ask for drinks after ordering. Never cleared dirty plates. Food runners just handed food to you instead of placing on table. Also the lighting is awful, so bright and neon. Junky, crappy, trashy.
Second time having brunch here and second time having Gabriel serve us. He is an excellent server and has amazing customer service. We will be returning and asking to sit with him!
Service was pretty slow. We had to get their attention several times to serve us or bring by drinks.
Sad to see they’ve added a limit on how long you can be there for brunch. Definitely put a damper on the experience. We definitely felt like we had to rush through the eating and drinking.
My boyfriend and I were a little late for our reservation and the host was very friendly and sat us right away. We ordered the unlimited tapas and drinks and were slightly disappointed. We went through over half the menu. Some standouts were the pork belly steam buns and the beef tostadas. The drinks were either too strong or too watered down. While the ambiance and overall vibes of the restaurant were pleasant, the food just wasn’t that great and there are other tapas bars in DC I’d go to before Mass 14.
I introduced a friend to the Masa 14 brunch experience, and she loved it. Great food and great drinks.
I went for brunch. I wish this place would restore to its former glory. Several years ago the brunch was AMAZING. It's since turned into quite a disappointing experience. One bad dish after another. It was alarming how quickly they came out and all at the same time. Its clear no care or effort was taken and the food was just scooped out of a pre-made vat.
Had my birthday brunch here. the food was good and everyone enjoyed the bottomless mimosas but the food came out extremely slow and randomly so it was awkward when it was a person who had everything they ordered and someone else still waiting for even one item.
I came to Masa 14 for brunch and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Very upbeat! The customer service was excellent!!
Awesome food, great service, one of my favorite brunch locations in DC. The bottomless drink and food price is insanely reasonable.
My husband and I had been here a month ago for brunch and were excited to return with friends from out of town. The experiences could not have been more different due to the service. Our waiter yesterday was not great. He would infrequently come back to the table, forget to bring more water, and brought a very messy spilt drink. Also, I paid an additional $4 for a cup of Luke warm coffee. Just overall very disappointed.
The server was very friendly and accommodating. However, the food was mediocre at best and the drinks had barely any alcohol in them. Dinner is much better!
Endless tapas breakfast was delicious!
great music and great vibe. probably best place in DC to listen to cool music while you have drinks and maybe a bit to eat. the food is mediocre (at best!)
but i would still go back and back as i have numerous times because of the fun setting.
I am in LOVEEE with Masa 14. We were created by (I believe) the GM, Milos? I think that was his name..he had a hostess bring us upstairs for our 2 pm brunch reservations, but once we got up there it was a bit too cold with the outdoor draft coming through and a little too quiet for what we were looking for as downstairs was quite loud and vibrant...we like to dance :) anywho, milos gave us our first round of drinks for us moving which was totally unnecessary but most definitely appreciated..the food was incredible, the drinks kept coming, and everyone left incredibly happy. The Korean bbq sliders, the spicy potatoes, the churros, the cauliflower, the chicken chipotle slider, omg all of it was just AMAZING! Before we left, milos invited us back for dinner sometime and we just felt so good waking out the doors. The service was so appreciated and we will definitely be coming back.
Great service at the bottomless brunch. Food was pretty good, drinks were strong and tasty.
Restaurant Week Unlimited Tapas and Drinks! While this was a great deal, as soon as the place got busy, our server forgot about us. After a very timely first round of food, we had a nearly 30 minute gap for the second, and when we finally saw our server again, he was oblivious that we were still waiting for our next round of drinks and food. He was very nice, but forgetting about us kept us looking for him when we wanted something. The food overall was good, but if you're going to do unlimited tapas and drinks, you need staff that can keep them flowing, or the overall experience isn't that great. I'd be willing to give them another shot, but it might be a bit before I do.
What a amazing place! This place has a Latin-Asian small art going on. We were greeted by the Manager Michael, who by the way was one of the most professional people I have ever met. Lisa had the best recommendations. I will be back! The brunch is in the top 5 in DC. You will certainly enjoy!
We went after a matinee at the Source Theater. Excellent location for that as it is so close. The menu is interesting for brunch; lots of things you won't find elsewhere. We enjoyed the BLT, yoghurt and fruit, and plantains.
I'll start with the positive: The tapas are excellent! Buy three, and you'll have a very full meal.
Then the negative: The menu is misleading. It advertises bottomless drinks. However I was initially charged for a full second drink when I asked to have my beer topped off. When I complained, I was told that the drinks are only bottomless when you buy the unlimited tapas. (I had only bought three.) When I complained vigorously, the charge for the second drink was taken off the bill, but I think that the menu should be changed.
Excellent!!!! Food, service and value!!
Masa 14 was the perfect place for my group to spend New Year's Eve before going out. Food was good- did not receive some items that we ordered in a timely manner and had to ask multiple times. We aren't difficult though so it wasn't a problem for us, but may be for others.
Good food and unlimited brunch drinks. Took 30 mins for me to find parking. This was a hassle for me I almost gave up and drove home
The service was a bit slow with refilling the mimosas, but not terrible. My main complaint was the food menu. It’s probably been about a year since I had brunch at Masa 14, but I feel like the list of options on the bottomless brunch menu has gotten smaller and smaller over the years. Now, the list is restricted enough that I really had trouble eating enough to be satisfied. Personally, I don’t like to order “breakfast food” when I have brunch—and unfortunately, breakfast options now make up the vast majority of the options for food items that are substantive enough to make a mea out of. I hope Masa 14 will expand its brunch menu once again to include more of the options it has offered in years past.
Service was excellent. The food, as it was explained to us, is Asian-Mexican-American fusion. We ordered the steam buns and the coconut ceviche. The buns were 3/5 ok and the ceviche was terrible. The ceviche was 1/5 had no flavor and it tasted like all the ingredients were prepared separately and shrimp were boiled. It tasted like strange unseasoned cold coconut soup.
