All around excellent value for the top quality and the price.
Food was great but our server didn't seem interested in us or her job
We went on a Saturday night. Everything was great. The cocktails were expertly made. The food was outstanding. Can’t think of a negative thing to say. Somewhat pricey, but not out of line for that type of restaurant.
Chef Marc and his staff were wonderful. He came to visit our table. The food is outstanding and the service was wonderful. Thank you Chef!
We enjoyed our (one day late!) Valentine's Day dinner very much. The paella was great, as was the wine, which had been suggested by our very good waiter.
Food was awesome! We were very happy! The service was great. It’s a little pricey but worth it.
Made the reservation pretty far in advance—they took us to a high top with two stools—I said oh no...get me a table. They found a table. One bartender for a full restaurant serving a prix fixe wit wine pairings. The “pairings” part never happened. The wine was either way ahead of the food or way behind. All the white wines were, if not warm, room temperature—just like the food. It wasn’t inexpensive. They did comp the wine portion of the meal, and the chef apologized. Only one choice on the menu. We will never go on a holiday again—but will go back for tapas when they are serving the regular menu. Anyway, I enjoyed spending the time with My husband.
Valentine’s Day
Waited about 12-15 minutes to be acknowledged in anyway (water or a smile) after being seated. While not happening to others next to us. There for Valentinrs menu, delicious until desert. Rather disappointing plain panacotta , hard to eat candy fruit, skimpy chocolate sauce and Ugh- Honey Comb Kids Cereal - gross. It was let down after a fabulous meal, especially the lobster egg rolls. Found very noisy hard, took away from intimate experience.. hard to hear staff. Turn down the music!
Horrible service and mediocre food on fixed price menu or you could choose one of three entree. Not a tapa in sight
We loved this place! We spent our Valentine’s Day dinner here. We had the ribeye, best stake I have ever had!! The service was great we will definitely be coming back here.
This was our second visit to Mas Tapas. The first time was for dinner, this was a late lunch. We arrived at 2:30,and they said they were serving lunch. There was a limited menu,so we decided to have their charcuterie platter. They made us 2 "small platters", one was a cheese platter, the other different meats.Cheese selections were great, there was also some toasted sliced bread, honey, figs. The meat platter had serrano ham, chorizo,,etc. Both platters were excellent. There was so much for the 2 of us,that we didnt eat dinner after. The only problem I had,was that the server kept saying they were closing, getting ready for dinner(Valentines Day),so much so,that we felt they were trying to get rid of us.I think if they take reservations for that time of day, then they should serve us as well, not for us to feel like we were in the way
The wine list was good and the tapas were delicious. The chef made paella for us, even though they usually only serve it at dinner. Lovely Valentine's Day lunch.
Food was great! Drinks were great! Service was great! Price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend trying this place for lunch.
We have eaten at Mas for the past 4 yrs sometime around Valentine’s. Our favorite restaurant to visit when in ABQ.
We went for a light dinner or Tapas and ordered the French onion soup and lamp chop appetizer to split. The soup was nice because it had two pieces of bread so each of us could have one. However, you have to be ok with eating out of the same bowl. the lamb chops were thick but didn't have the bone handle so you had to cut it off the bone and was very salty. Other than over salted they were thick and cooked to perfection. if you were hungry you would have to order another plate to split.
Hotel is a GEM of Albuquerque and MAS carries through the mystic, great food & atmosphere with knowledgeable staff.
Delicious local flavor. Server was courteous and prompt in all areas. Definitely will be back when business brings me to Albuquerque. Recommend for breakfast!
Food is great with many different menu items to choose from. Chef Quinones is very personable and visited our table to make sure everything had come out to our satisfaction. Great wine list and great food.
I wanted a quiet, comfortable dining experience and MAS Tapas y Vino was just that! Everything about it was perfect! The wine was a little pricey..... but purchasing a bottle for four of us worked. Choosing MAS Tapas y Vino made for a wonderful birthday lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Thank you.
Food was mediocre. Service was slow. Not worth it in my opinion.
Great food...incredible service. What's not to like!
A really good friend & I met up here for pre-Theater lite early evening dinner. We loved it. We both had a very nice experience and we plan on going again soon. Oh, the food was so good. We ordered 3 different types of plates (what a fantastic menu) and shared of course, perfect portion size for two, per plate. Cheers to the Chef & our Server.
Good drinks, great tapas, and excellent service. It was a busy evening but they made sure we were taken care of well.
While not the best place for an intimate conversation, this is among the nation's finest cuisine. An inspired offering of Tapas is complemented by a superb wine list, excellent service, and spectacular dessert offerings. Presentation of dishes is artistic done with care and skill.
Food had no taste
Needed salt and pepper
Done dishes good, others boring and tasteless
Server was good but wait time for food very slow. Had to ask about our food. Food was good on a we got it.
Great food and terrific service. Amber took great care of us and described plates in detail.
Our server was either brand new or was having a really bad night. This is a great restaurant but our waitress dragged down our experience. We will definitely be back though.
Great food and experience for B-Day!
The food is varied, imaginatively prepared, and professionally served. A+ there, no doubt about it. Great selection of wines, even if extremely pricey. The room is well lit and the decor attractive. What killed the experience for me was the live music in the space immediately adjoining the dining area. Forget about quiet conversation or hearing the person two feet opposite. The decibel level was just too much.
Lunch-had an excellent lunch here again. This time the tuna wrap with fries. Have not had a bad meal here ever. Definitely a good place in the downtown to eat.
Service including valet was excellent. Tapas were delicious!
Had a great birthday celebration with a friend. The tapas were amazing and I loved the portions. Not such a large dish, but sufficient to taste a few and not have massive amounts left over. Wonderful staff and the ambiance was perfect!
I was in Albuquerque with friends to work at the PIT for ESPN and we wanted to get some food before work. I looked on Open Table and found this place not far from where we were. Very nice place, clean and very different. The meals and appetizers were fantastic! If you ever in downtown Albuquerque, you should definitely check this place out...
It was a Sunday evening. Sad to say not many people were there. Wait staff polite and courteous. Food was good, but not stellar. We enjoyed our time.
Excellent Tapas style food. Well presented. Good service
I had spareribs, portion was good, but ribs were too salty and dry (cooked too long).
Management was responsive to Wait Staff not meeting the same standards as the food....
We were there when the restaurant was not busy at all.
The margaritas where outstanding...Kudos to the bartender.
Went on New Years Eve. They had a pre-fix menu. It was 130 per person with wine parings. Sever forgot the amuse-bouche. We had to wait 15 to 20 minutes between each of the courses. None of the food was very good and the desert was downright bad. Server never took a second to explain any of the dishes and automatically added a 20% tip to the bill without telling us. Best part of the meal was the wine. Definitely not worth the price considering the mediocre food and service.
