Great food and great service,
For tapas tried the garlic shrimp and chorizo-always awesome. The beef short rib egg roll needed some seasoning-good in garlic sauce from shrimp!! The squash blossoms stuffed with whipped gait cheese were some of the best my husband and I have had-fried just right with tempura batter. The pepper beef was not trimmed the best but had a great sauce. Cheese plate is always delicious! Great wine selection!
Great food and top notch service. We love coming here for lunch during the annual dental convention. Top notch
Always a great meal! Good food, good service. Being part of the beautiful hotel is a huge plus.
This is our second visit and w invited friends to join us and to "share." They loved it too The noise level can be a medium/high at times but over all the ambiance is pleasant
The food continues to be great. Love the shrimp dish, the mezze platter and the Spanish cheeses
I have enjoyed coming to this restaurant while staying at the Hotel Andaluz. What a great selection of good food. I had Huevos Rancheros for breakfast and loved it. Everything I have had has been pleasant.
A hotel restaurant. This restaurant is geared to serving hotel guests breakfast, lunch and dinner and it looks the part. The food was very good and the portions on the generous side. The ambiance was a little bit Chile's for the caliber of food.
1st time there. Different eating experience. Food was outstanding. I would recommend the ribs and brisket to everyone. Fantastic flavor.
We live in Santa fe which is supposed to be the “Foodie City.” Mas was greatly superior to any dining experience we’ve ever had in SF. Chef Mark Quinones is AMAZING!!
Ellen, our server, was outstanding. She was timely in checking our order requests. She checked our drinks / water. Was quietly there when needed, but not overly so. Food ordered and served was excellent as always. Our favorite for special meals.
Lovely spot and amazing food!
This place never disappoints. This was our 7th time here. I had the steak which was scrumptious. My wife had the vegetarian paella. One of the chefs came over to our table. My only disappointment was not seeing enough people take advantage of this gem.
Food and service was very good. We will go back
Not cheap, but worth the expense. Service was excellent, starting with the bar (we got to Mas before it opened in the evening) to our server at the table. excellent before-dinner drink...one of the best 'commercial' margaritas ever. My wife and I split a series of tapas, all excellent and well plated. Interestingly for me, the tapas varied in size, from almost full plate to six dates wrapped in bacon with honey (sweet and salty goodness). We both recommend getting two or three smaller tapas to share, then order more if still hungry. Each tapa presented an interesting combination of flavors, like those dates: usually a center focus plated with a complementing garnish
My experience at MAS was poor, at best.
When we walked in we were given a bar height table. We immediately asked if we could be seated at a regular height table, we saw one in the back, and were still told "no". We were told there were only 2 tables that could seat large parties and the other one was reserved for another party. There were many empty tables which could have been pushed together to accommodate us. My sister-in-law and a girlfriend are of short stature and had to climb up on their chairs. I repeat, empty tables throughout the room.
My husband, sister-law, and I were seated and given water to drink. The rest of our party arrived within 15 minutes. During this 15 minutes the 3 of us were not asked if we would like something to drink from the bar.
It was only after the rest of our party arrived that we were asked if we wanted something to drink. At this point, we waited an awfully long time for the drinks to arrive.
We ordered appetizers and dinner which we also waited a long time for. The appetizers did not come at the same time and some were cold. Two of the 7 dinners were not cooked completely and were missing ingredients.
We did see a photographer taking pictures of the food and kitchen personnel and I guess the photographer and pictures were more important than us.
We had been to MAS in the past and had a great experience, but sad to say, this experience was terrible and I doubt we will be returning.
Wonderful evening, thank you for such great service.
Very pleasant total experience. Good food, great service, inviting ambience. A little treasure downtown Albuquerque before a concert.
Great downtown location. We went after a pleasant hour in the rooftop Ibiza bar. Ambiance of restaurant and hotel excellent.
We were at Mas the night of a concert. It was apparent they were not prepared to handle a full house. We actually canceled part of our meals as it was obvious that we weren’t going to make it to the concert if we waited. Our cheese platter took 40 min to reach our table. It is too bad as the 1 cooked tapa we got was delicious. We were very disappointed!
Amazing atmosphere. The food was delicious and well prepared, including the presentation it was beautiful. The staff were friendly and took care of us very well. highly recommend and will be going back in the future. Love the open kitchen.
We had a great time, loved the ambience of the place!
We enjoyed superb service.
There was a large and very loud group--which cannot be helped, of course--so we asked to be seated away from them which helped.
When we arrived, the welcome could have been warmer.
Food was up to its usual good standard.
Amber made our experience unforgettable. We’ll definitely be returning.
I ordered the lunch beyond meat burger. Hard to find this in many restaurants. Delicious. And the fries were perfect.
We were there for Easter brunch. The service was very slow and the portion were very small for the price. The cheesecake was a joke. We were very dissatisfied with the experience.
First two Tapas were very good, service was great, but the last two (Paella & Garlic Shrimp) were very bland . Both needed seasoning. I love paella, and there's very few places in NM that serve it, but I wouldn't get it there again.
We booked dinner on open table and the restaurant was closed! Was not happy to find this out upon arrival.
If took over an hour to get our food. Waitress was no where to be seen. Yea, won’t be back.
Food was not as special or good as expected. Service was mediocre
The food was absolutely delicious. The quality of the service varied, but not a deal breaker.
There was a convention in the hotel so it was a bit noisy. But food and service were excellent. Will be returning with friends
Our most favorite restaurant in ABQ. I brought my wife to celebrate a special occasion. Every plate was excellent or very good - variety, quality. We have dined many times, all most enjoyable with food & atmosphere. We have brought visitors also.
The food was excellently prepared and very tasty. The honey bacon wrapped dates seemed overpriced for just 6 dates, but they were delicious. The chef came out to see if we were enjoying our food (we were) and that was a nice personal touch we weren't expecting. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with Mas and will probably come again.
Severely overpriced drinks ($20 cocktails in Albuquerque is ridiculous). Purposely weren’t given a drink menu so that we could see the price of the drinks before we ordered and one was never produced when we questioned the price of the drinks afterwards. Wait staff was overwhelmed and slow.
Service was very slow. Sat for 10 minutes without anyone approaching our table. Food is very good. Looks like it needs spiffing up (tables, etc.).
Great food, great location in the hotel Andaluz, the menu had so many great choices and we were only able to have a few of them. We will be back to have some of those dishes we did not have room for, we love Tapas and have had them at many different places, this one is probably the best.
I loved the food and the service!
Tapas were terrific. Especially liked garlic shrimp, also Brussel sprouts. Pinot Noir was a bit tannic but got better as it aired. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Appreciated the ambiance of the lovely lobby of the Hotel Andaluz where a classical guitarist was playing.
Amazing service, food, drinks, and ambience! Will definitely return. A true jewel in Albuquerque!
We enjoyed Mas Tapas y Vino! The waitstaff was attentive and not intrusive. The food was spot on with plenty of seasonings which did not overpower the central ingredients. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the Spanish wines and made good recommendations. Overall a highly enjoyable dinner. We will be returning!
