Mary'z Lebanese Cuisine - Washington
Quite and not very fancy. Great service fair value.
If you have your sights set on a finer dining experience, go elsewhere. This place is a bit more laid back. The food is good enough, but service was quite inattentive to us. I do believe she was not well educated in the menu, and made no effort to explain anything. However nice and friendly our server was, was undone by her lack of attentiveness. Not at all introducing herself to us, and when we said it was our first time, her blank stare told us she had little experience.
While the bread was good the wheat pitas did not taste traditional, we still had about 3 baskets full for the 4 of us, when we asked what kind of sugar, or molasses, honey or what was used in the pitas to give it a waffle scent, we were told "it has some sugar in it" ... helpful. 😏 we got the quail which really was fantastic. Our waitress did inform us that that takes a bit of time to prepare, thankful for her forethought on that. Could not say enough good about that quail. If only that bird was bigger! Difficult to eat around the bones... but its quail, what do you expect? It was perfectly prepared. Definitely a recommended choice. The beef tenderloin taco things were good but not fantastic. The hummus was wonderful!!! So in all the dinner had a few hits, and a few misses. Would have been better if the waitress had given us the check within the 15 minutes we sat unacknowledged with the card sitting on the table. But all in all it was not bad.
The ambiance and food was good. But the service was horrible with exception of the garçon who delivered drinks. But our waitress was very rude and impolite. I would go again simply because I believe people have bad days but also believe that as customers we deserve respect and people’s issues should stay inside of and not affecting others.
Food, as usual, was excellent. What was lacking was the service. We got our side dishes a good 10+ minutes before our mains were served so they were getting cold by the time we were starting our meal. Overall service was quite slow. Yes, it was a Friday night and the restaurant was busy but not packed and no massive groups that were being served. I am hoping this is a one-off occurrence.
We came for a quick lunch and were interested in trying this restaurant as we hadn’t been before. Staff were exceptionally helpful and nice. Food was very good. We look forward to coming back to try more great dishes!
Went to Les Mis at Hobby Center - this was dinner before- we will be returning regularly!!!! 1st time since I saw on Open Table- the food is amazing- babagounoush and hummus are fantastic. I am a big fan of the other Lebanese restaurants but Maryz out does them! It is casual and prices are reasonable. Portions are nice.
The Eggplant Extravaganza is an exceptional standout!
Service was very good and friendly without being overbearing
Very good place , a lot of people !! Recommend it. Good prices
The food is super good exactly what I was looking for. The service is great. Our waitress was super thoughtful brought extra plates for sharing and extra napkins with a weight on top since we sat outside.
It was a seat yourself restaurant but someone gestured to us to do so. We chose a spot and sat. We had enough time to choose a cocktail, and then appetizer. Asked someone to send a server. Waited another 5. Nobody showed. We asked a server if we could get some help. Yeah, sure they said and another 5 minutes and we left.
We always love this place, everything about the place is great foods, hookah, services.
The pita and hummus were amazing. I had the almond crusted snapper with tabbouleh. Also great.
very relaxed ambiance the food is amazing, great service and value for money.
we actually had dinner three days in a row and will be back sometime this week.
We really enjoyed everything here
Food was amazing and the portions were more than what I expected. Service was great and I will definitely be going back.
Mary'z is one of my favorite Lebanese restaurants in Houston. It is the nicest hookah lounge I've been to. The sampler appetizer is fabulous with a variety of items to try (grape leaves, falafel, etc). The chicken livers were so delicious, I was concerned because they weren't fried but they were even better than what I'd tried in the past. I will get those every time I go. Cocktail menu is good and I love the fact that is it a full-bar.
Authentic food, beautifully prepared, offered at reasonable price.
Great food, service and overall experience. We had tons of yummy food.
Food is always good and fresh. Grape leaves with meat are delicious!
There was a large group having a meeting taking up most of the restaurant. It was impossible to have a conversation at our table as they were conducting business and were quite loud. The appetizer plate was very good. The schwarma plate was tasteless and over cooked. Tasted warmed up. Service was just ok.
Great food, great service, great prices!
Food was great
Prices were reasonable, food was very good, service was decent. We would definitely go back.
It's a cafeteria-like setting: Very bright lights (I needed sunglasses indoors in the bar area towards the end of the meal due to intense eye pain from the lights), a bright red Coke machine in the middle of the dining space, and very sterile, utilitarian, steel chairs and tables. There's just no warmth. The food was good, but some of it was loaded with oil - including but not limited to the roasted eggplant dish. The pita bread is so wonderful; possibly the best I've ever tasted. But the over-presence of oil and deep frying would make me think twice before returning. The guys who run it were delightful and very accommodating. Our waitress, though, was less so.
we went with friends for dinner and everything we ordered was delicious.
Went back for lunch the next day to try some new dishes.
The sides are all delicious and healthy ; the meat dishes are tasty ;
the vegetarian sandwich is super good.
Our favorite place for Mediterranean food in Houston
Over all it was a good experience. The food was tasty and we had the opportunity to be served by a great waitress. The only thing I would add is a little more unique ambiance.
Best Lebanese ever! Hummus is their signature and the best in the state!
The food and service are only Ok
A new restaurant so still working out the kinks and staff still green, but everything heading in the right direction. Will keep going back as food was tasty. Need to upgrade the liquor offerings.
