Fantastic food & friendly service. We were 7 people and everyone was very happy with the food.
The food was good, but we were very rushed. Main course came very close to salad course and we all felt as if they were rushing us. We had to ask for coffee and dessert menu.
Delightful for a quiet lunch and watching the world go by on First Avenue
Everything was enjoyable
Was hoping for a nice Italian dinner on our one night out in NYC. Being on the UES, we thought this place had to be good. Mediocre is too kind. Blah wine by the glass options, salads had no taste. My tagliatelle (really fettuccine) was the best part of the meal, but it would be hard not to be better than salads. After $100, we were happy to just leave.
Always great. Our favorite Italian on the ues.
Wide range of options from homemade pasta to chicken, fish, veal, meat and wonderful appetizer salads. Love the simple grilled chicken over spinach, pasta with pesto, pasta with mushrooms, veal piccata. The most incredible tiramisu
This is a great neighborhood restaurant on the Upper East Side. Good Italian food, with daily specials. The service is very friendly, the staff knows all the regulars and you feel like a part of the family. Wine list is not huge, but it has many excellent wines for all budgets.
Really good food and generous portions! Will go back!
Food was delicious and servings were just right. The service was friendly and attentive but not hovering. It was a good choice for our party of 6. We were seated immediately.
A favorite since 2002...always happy wit( delicious recipes and expert service..a great place to think and share good food and conversation with friends.
We were a table of 8 and the service was quite efficient and everyone loved the food. So glad it is in my 'hood.
A very nice evening! The staff was very attentive. They were helpful with recommendations for both food and wine.
Went for an early New Year's Eve dinner. They had a menu just for New Year's Eve with a very good selection of appetizers, salads, pasta and meat/fish. The service was excellent as usual and the food fresh and delicious. Even as the restaurant was filling up, I wasn't rushed which is always a plus.
It was a great meal with great value.
Absolutely Fantastic Restaurant with Quality Food and Amazing Staff. a Must do...
Really enjoy having this place in the neighborhood. Like to go there with family and close friends. No hype, very relaxing, cozy and comfortable. Waiters are very solicitous. Food is very good, I always get the veal with mushrooms: delicious.
A true neighborhood gem but crowded on a Saturday night. Sat with friends for 6:30 reservation. There were still some empty tables. Immediately we were asked what we wanted to drink. We had to ask for wines by glass and listen to a list. More than a few times we were asked if we were ready to order. With tables still available we felt rushed especially since we were there with friends and we just had our first hellos and didn’t get. A chance to open the menu. The food was delicious but you can be sure the check arrived as soon as our forks hit the table
The staff at Maruzzella could not be friendlier..once of the reasons to go there...along with great Italian food and great drinks! In our visit this time, it was clear that many diners come to Maruzzella frequently. While the staff is accommodating to the "regulars", they go all out to make certain that those with less regular status are treated likewise.
Amazing food and service. Celebration dinner for birthdays. Definitely going to return. They even had flourless chocolate cake for my gluten free needs. We all enjoyed our meals, from lamb chops to pasta Bolonaise to salmon and the lentil soup.
Consistent, very good guys, great food. Oh, what a night!
Nice little neighborhood Italian spot.
We have been patrons since 2001..it our go to Authentic local Italian..
Hope they stay here always..
We've eaten there numerous times and it has always been good. This time it was just plain terrible. The salads were good. But the pastas-how does an Italian restaurant screw up pasta? We had recommended this restaurant to friends from Italy. We were so embarrassed. It will be a long time till I try it again. If ever.
As usual, absolutely delicious. Went for my mother’s birthday- fantastic meal.
I really like this restaurant - it's close to my apartment, has good food and a nice atmosphere (not so noisy). It just seems that there is never enough help. We have to ask to have our water glasses refilled and practically beg for the check. Hire another waiter!
Appreciated their accommodating a gluten free version of chicken marsala.
Very good Italian restaurant, neighborhood gem. A variety of pasta and meat and seafood dishes. The homemade pasta is delicious and highly recommended! Owner takes service seriously and greets all diners. We have been going here for a few years; the food is consistent and they happily accommodate special orders.
Chicken breast was tough and unseasoned; gnocci ok but not great. My date liked her pasta.
Good food and service I will be back when I am in nyc
I like this place - returned a second time. The food is delicious and the atmosphere quite nice. The service was a little slow.
Everything you ever want to experience in a restaurant. Food made with meticulous attention to detail, staff that treats you like family, quaint, no-fuss setting that makes for a most comfortable dining environment. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem!
Maruzzella is our favorite neighborhood restaurant! We always enjoy the delicious food and the service is great, too!
One of our favorite neighborhood. Restaurants. Always excellent food. Good specials. Friendly accommodating service. We also order in. Quality of food remains consistently great.
I live around the corner but discovered this place just recently. So much better than Zucchero. I came back and second time and will return again.
High quality, approachable menu with lots of appealing options. Caring service in a casual yet comfortable space. Our go to Italian on the upper east side. Particularly love their eggplant rollatine, salads, pesto pasta, pasta with mushroom sauce, pasta with eggplant and ricotta, veal Marsala, and fish
This place is just OK
they don't have wine list or cocktails list.
Food was very generic and bland.
The place is neither good or bad.
you would forget about it five minutes after you have left
Went for a birthday dinner with family. Wanted a neighborhood restaurant. Wonderful experience, comfortable seating, great service, good food and plenty of it and great value.
Will definitely go again and will recommend it to all!!
Maruzzella is a definite gem in the upper east side. The food was well presented and the home made pasta was excellent. Great ambiance and no pressure to end the experience. Nick the owner chatted with us and definitely added to the evening. We will definitely be back on our next NYC visit! Kudos to Nick and all the staff at this local venue!
Perfect service and delicious menu. This is a neighborhood restaurant with warm welcome.
Great food and wine! Waiter very polite and friendly and was able to remember very long menu (specials). Was very impressed.
