Rotolo di Pasta
Rolled home made pasta filled with spinach, ricotta and mozzarella in a light tomato sauce
Crispy calamari served with lemon and spicy marinara sauce
Rigatoni in a light cream sauce, with blended sweet sausage, prosciutto, onions and a touch of cinnamon
Very friendly & appealing place. Portions were large! I had to take half home.
The food was absolutely delicious! Love this Italian restaurant and the ambiance!
Outstanding Italian cuisine in an intimate, charming setting. Staff are welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable about the food and how it is prepared, We tried the calamari fritti after reading another diner's review. Outstanding. We highly recommend the Rigatoni Cipullo. The sauce is incredible. Our new "go to" Italian. Can't wait to work our way through the menu.
Food is reliably delicious. We always feel very welcome. Glad they have remained open throughout the psndemic
This is an absolute neighborhood gem. Wanted to enjoy the weather last night and booked a table for myself. The ambiance on the patio was great and service was fabulous as well. I was craving veal piccata and even though it wasn’t on the menu they made it for me and it did not disappoint! Will definitely be going again!
Food, Good service and ambiance done right. It’s my go to. Never disappointed.
Maruzzella is always terrific! Good food - never have had issue with an “off” night. The staff and owners couldn’t be nicer and always make you feel like family. Always a delight to go there!
Incredible staff!! Owner is so nice and makes sure everyone is happy and taken care of. Plus the food is great!
Never a disappointment! The food is always delicious and the selections are broad enough and all well so you never get bored. They have a huge outdoor space now and everything is appropriately spaced with plexiglass dividers.
Great service and very kid friendly. We dined at an outdoor table.
We had the owner/manager’s son as our waiter; he did great! Great good, water always replenished, nice bread.
Lovely and friendly atmosphere w/excellent service and great food
Really wonderful Italian food - consistent and delicious. A real neighborhood find.
A wonderful, local, family restaurant. The service was great and the Cheese Cake was to die for.
We had a wonderful family reunion dinner at Maruzzella. The service was perfect; unobtrusive but friendly! The food was delicious and any modifications were made without any trouble. We will most certainly be back and recommend to friends!
My family and I decided to go here tonight for a good authentic meal near our apartment. We were completely amazed by how delicious this restaurant was. They have daily specials read to us by the waiter and ordered several appetizers & drinks. The pasta selection is amazing and they were able to accommodate for my gluten allergy with some gluten free pasta. The pasta were beyond amazing everyone at my table finished their entire plates! The desserts are also read to us by the waiter and we’re amazing. To round out the night, the waiter gave us each a drink on the house (of our choice) as a celebration of our first time to the restaurant. The hospitality was beyond incredible and we will definitely be back.
A well run family restaurant. The menu has some great options and the service is impeccable.
Gracious host. Great food as always. Well priced.
Always great food and great service
Good food, excellent service! Neighborhood go to! :)
Wonderful food and very helpful and pleasant staff. A place to return to for casual and enjoyable times.
Way too expensive - an ordinary appetizer, soup and two glasses of wine came to $57.00 with tax and decent tip...and if I had had a real entree total would have been well over $100.00. Good food and service but too expensive.
Its a strong 4 stars. We were a party of 6 and all were well pleased. A little noisy but it was a Saturday evening
I went on a Friday night. Had the asparagus salad to start (absolutely love it). The fish special was red snapper sauteed in a white wine sauce served with mixed vegetables. I'm not usually too big on fish, but I love the red snapper and get it whenever it's a special. For dessert tiramisu and espresso. Maruzzella is my go-to neighborhood restaurant for many occasions. Any friends or family I've taken there have loved it. As far as I'm concerned, you can't go wrong if you want good Italian food.
Neighborhood gem. Low key and comfortable with unobtrusive service. Food is well prepared and simply presented. This is the place to go when you simply want a comfortable place to go with familiar comfort food with nothing trendy or over the stop. Reasonably priced considering the quality of the experience.
This restaurant canceled my reservation without my consent. When we arrived for our set time we were told we did not have a reservation. They said I had called to cancel but I had not! The manager and three service staff told me I was out of luck. The crazy part is that there were at least ten free tables. The staff was rude and I will never go back. We ended up having dinner and at best I would rate it average. To top off the night, we were rushed out the door. A terrible experience!
Lovely neighborhood place. Good traditional Italian
Nice atmosphere. Food was good for price but portions we had not so big (stuffed mushrooms, fish and linguine w seafood). Good service.
A definite go-to in the neighborhood but worth coming to from further away. Excellent Italian good, prepared well, and nicely served. Attentive staff without being cloying. We've not had a bad meal there. I wouldn't call the setting romantic but it's also not the intensely loud crowd one block west on 2nd Ave.
With well prepared comforting Italian cuisine, I am a big fan of Maruzzella.
We weren’t sure what to expect but noting that the Resturant has been open for 30 years gave us a feeling of comfort trying it. We were so pleasantly surprised. A great local spot that made us feel like regulars the moment we arrived. The service was attentive but not overbearing. We weren’t rushed and the food was on point. The grilled calamari over mixed greens was superb and the chicken with sausage and mushrooms had that rustic home cooked feel. The owner was so friendly and gave us the feeling he was truly happy we ventured in from Staten Island. We will definitely re-visit soon and share this little upper east side secret with all our friends!!!
This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. The food is consistently fabulous, the service is number one, the prices are in keeping with the area and the quality of the food. We love it and go there often.
Great food consistently and outstanding service every time
Great neighborhood place. I went for an early New Year's Eve dinner. The food was delicious. Had the asparagus salad and the lamb chops. The salad is always good and the lamb chops were cooked exactly as ordered and very tender. The service was as usual excellent. The restaurant was crowded and the noise level was fine; I would have expected it to be louder as it was NYE. Maruzzella is my go to place for Italian food. I've never had a bad experience.
Great, good food. Good service
Over-priced for the quality of food. However the service was excellent.
The food is consistently excellent and I've never had a problem with the service. I marked it as quiet but we were there at an off time; usually the noise factor is moderate. This is a great neighborhood place and I use it as my go to restaurant for birthdays, holidays, and other celebrations, as well as just for a good dinner.
We picked this restaurant based on its location and reviews. Because I am disabled, I called ahead to be sure that the restaurant was accessible, and I spoke to a very kind gentleman who assured me that they would do all they could to assist me. We were actually welcomed into the restaurant by several people who made sure that I could access the entrance, which in fact was no problem. The menu was huge and varied, which is great since the members of my party all have different tastes. The food was delicious and the servers were quite attentive and friendly. The owner himself came over to introduce himself and to tell me that he was the one who spoke with me when I called about access. All in all it was a delightful evening and I would certainly recommend this restaurant.
Good food and service. Great neighborhood go to.
