Martorano's Atlantic City Ratings and Reviews
This was not my first time at dining at Matorano's. It seemed that this weekend(being a holiday) was very chaotic. The food as always, is excellent , but the service was sluggish, and the Waitress was not on the ball. Some patrons came in screaming and were extremely noisy(due to the football game, probably because their team won). That noise continued for approx. 30-45 minutes!!.
This is my favorite restaurant! I love going to ac knowing I will be eating here. I love that they change up the menu all the time, for me that helps because I tend to stick to the same thing at restaurants. The food here is just perfect, atmosphere is great, staff is wonderful!
Martorano's is a very lively and welcome addition to Harrah's AC. The food is very good and the experience is awesome with fun movies and memorable songs on the playlist. This will be my go-to choice in AC when I'm staying at Harrah's. Loved the al dente pasta.
When we arrived the Maitre de was on the phone she never acknowledge that we were standing there, we went inside and then she came inside to ask us if we had a reservation. I told her yes and then she seated us. We were very uncomfortable because of the way we were treated so we left and went to the The Steakhouse next door. We was treated so much better and we did not have a reservation for the Steakhouse.
Our dinner was NOT good. We have been to many gourmet restaurants in AC over the years. The rigatoni was too hard and undercooked and we do prefer our pasta a la dente. The veal parmagiana was tough and tasted like shoe leather. I even had to ask for gravy. It was not quality veal. We were looking forward to our meal but were very disappointed!
I have no doubt that this is one of the best restaurants in the tri-state area. My dinner was incredible, yummy and original. Pasta with shrimp in a cognac sauce, WOW!
the folks who work there are also wonderful. I am remembered from visit to visit and my table is always ready for me.
Service was very slow. Had to ask and wait half and hour just to get bread. When the finally brought dinner an hour later they brought the wrong dish.
They use to have a very nice fixe price menu. No longer, now if you wanted to order off it all you will get is pasta. Go to Guy Fiere's Chop house at Baileys much nicer service and better value.
A table of Harrah's employees sucked the servers into their orbit and their arrogance to have to have their egos stroked left an entire half of this dining room left to watch this display in disgust. One table of 7 right beside them, there before we arrived, still did not have anything but bread even after the employees had all their food and towering deserts brought to them. We watched booth after booth as well waiting as we did, no food, no attention. When our food finally came, a man in a blue shirt and slacks plopped it down gruffly and said ,"here's your food". He acted like it was a huge imposition. I will add that we did not have a chance to speak with our server to ask where our food was, so this was just attitude by someone that resented delivering our dinners. We had it packaged, my linguini with all 3 shrimp at $48, and his veal parm which was like leather. Our bill was $158 for 2 salads and entrees with one glass of wine. Couldn't get our servers attention to get a second glass. Have been there before, but will NEVER go back. It is back to the Borgata for us.
Upscale restaurant, as are the prices, located in Harrah's Casino, Atlantic City. Located near the theater. Dinner absolutely delicious. I had the meatball salad, with an entree special, shrimp and spaghetti with broccoli. I tried a Sicilian Mule as my drink, Tito's vodka, near beer with a lime wedge in a copper mug. Service was wonderful, with great personal attention. Martorano's offers a large wine selection. There are screens with a movie playing throughout the restaurant. Some may be acceptable, some not. We were fortunate, A Christmas story was playing (closed captioned). apropos for season, and we were going to see Mannheim Steamroller at the theater. Didn't try the desserts, but they looked great. If you like great food and service, this is a place to visit. It can be a little noisy, tables are close together, definitely make a reservation.
The food is always great. The service was a little slow but good. Well, because the restaurant was completely full. The menu is excellent with the fine wine list. There is always new items on the menu every time I go. I love the Italian music playing all the time, its great. The place is always spotless which I like very much. I go there every time when I visit at Harrah's. See you next time!
