Martini's Ratings and Reviews
Our food and drinks were outstanding - great martinis and pasta!! Our service could have been better ... our waitress was only minimally personable, attentive and friendly - she appeared as though she would rather be somewhere else, rarely checked-in or asked if we needed anything else. A bit of a disappointment service-wise, but again great food and ambiance!
We came from Toronto to celebrate my brothers birthday who lives in Kitchener. Very good everything. We will be back. Since we have come back we have told our friends about your restaurant already. Quite a great place to eat and drink. We will be back sooner than you think. There should be a restaurant like this in Toronto.
I have always enjoyed going to Martinis. This time was no different, however, I found that the quality of food has slipped slightly, and the menu choices are quite limited. The soup of the day was seafood chowder, which is usually filled with a variety of seafood. This soup had no mussels, clams, shrimp, etc. The only seafood I could find was a lot of salmon and another type of fish (I'm not sure what). The soup had a very fish flavour also. Sadly, I was very disappointed with the soup. For my main dish, I ordered the salmon, which was good, but not spectacular. I could have made something like it at home. On another note, our server was very nice, but when I mentioned the soup, he did not say much and did not remove it from the bill.
We had a group of six women for a "Girls' Night Out." The cocktail menu was impressive, and our choices delicious. Ambience was great - upbeat and energetic. Food was very good, everyone seemed to like their meals. Service was prompt and our waitress very friendly. Overall, a perfect spot for a group dinner.
Having been to Martini's once before, I was looking forward to out dinner with family. One out of 4 people at our table enjoyed their dinner. My prime rib wasn't cooked medium as I asked for (over cooked), no one like the vegetables and the ceaser's had next to no taste.
I was very surprised to find this hidden gem. I was planning a lunch for an all day team meeting and I wasn't familiar with the area. This place was recommended to me and boy am I ever grateful for that recommendation. My leadership team really loved the place and the menu. Great service, even though we had to rush! If I'm in the area again, I will be back.
Our waiter was not attented at all, althought the place was empty when we arrived at 4:30. She was forgetting to check on us and she was not visible or close to us, so we can ask for things like sugar and milk for our tea, refill the hot water or cold water. Service needs to be improved with more coaching and training to the people that are serving. It is not about working for your tip dear waiter, just make us feel that we are not incovinienting you, make us feel that you value our business.
The restaurant encompassed all one could hope for in a fine dining experience, except for the noise levels. My party witnessed an arguement between 2 patrons; the first was upset that another patrons children were running around the restaurant creating noise. I agree that during this time period Martinis could have been mistaken for a Chunky Cheese, as opposed to an establishment for fine dining. None the less, I was quite plased with my experience on a whole. I had escargot and steak. Good eats.
I had added a comment to my reservation that I wanted a romantic private table. Unfortunately, I was put at a table directly in the path of the main walkway directly next to the chef! The bruchetta was not good at all, on a soggy crust that all the toppings fell off of!
