Martini's Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We like to get to Martini's Bistro a couple of times through the year. The food is consistently good and the service has always been top notch. They do have really good martinis as well. The only reason I gave the food a 4 out of 5 was because the fingerling potatoes were a little under cooked. The biggest problem I had with the whole experience was with the making of the reservation. We arrived at 6:20 for a 7:00 pm reservation. The hostess mentioned she had us down for a 6:00 pm reservation. All was fine as we still had a table waiting for us. I double checked my email confirmation and it was, in fact made for 7:00 pm. Not sure where the disconnect happened, but it turned out to be just fine. Maybe I'll call next time to confirm the time with the restaurant directly before we get there.
A bit overrated; nothing special about the filet - good, but not exceptional. Bacon wrapped scallops were very good - kudos for cooking the scallops perfectly while ensuring the bacon was also cooked nicely! (Restaurant hint - SHARPEN YOUR STEAK KNIVES!!! You'd be surprised at how a knife gliding easily through a steak changes the customer's perception of the meat tenderness!!!)
Food was great...I had the medallions, my wife had the scallops...bot were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Waitress was cheerful and attentive without hovering. Ordered a glass of wine and received a generous pour. We live in Boulder and tried Martini's based on web-reviews...entire experience exceeded our expectations.
The night we were there, the hot water heater broke down. There was a lot of activity with workers passing thru the dinning room making extra noise. But for our inconvenience the owner/manager bought our appetizers and dessert. Food was amazing and service was terrific! Highly recommend for a fine dining experience!
Still delicious...my first visit in several years (I don't live in Longmont...) and pleased to find the menu and food as good as I remembered. The Fiery Fettucine is excellent--but it is the only vegetarian option other than salads. Longmont is getting to be such a strong restaurant scene that a bit of tinkering with the menu will keep Martini in the running. I suspect it may also lower the price points, which are a bit high relative to other new and excellent restaurants. I rated the value at average because this is now one of the more expensive restaurants in Longmont.
This is a great place in our neighborhood. Especially nice if the weather is warn and you can sit outside underneath the festive lighting. The food is really good and the service was attentive but the very best thing was the martini.
And I want to go on record as saying this 2,000 minimum is really annoying. Makes me not want to go to the trouble of writing a review.
This place was absolutely charming with excellent service! We had wonderful martinis with dinner, but dinner was just so-so. Nothing exceptional about the food and the appetizer sizes were very small! Tried ordering a few but between four people - each person literally had a bite! The overall tab I thought was overpriced because of the small food portions, but the service, atmosphere and drinks were definitely worth it! We will be back for drinks - maybe not dinner.
