Martini Modern Italian
Really good food. Excellent service, a little pricey. A little loud.
Our waiter was very attentive and offered excellent suggestions. Happy Hour prices were good for both drinks and appetizers. Dinner was delicious. Great atmosphere to visit with friends.
Great food and amazing service.
The food was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
We celebrated our anniversary and had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing from the Martini salads, salmon and scallop entrees to the fig cheesecake! We had the perfect table, great service and truly a wonderful experience. Martini never disappoints!
We are never disappointed with this restaurant. It's one of the few places that keeps veal chop on the menu, so when I'm craving that, I know where to go.
The food was perfect. The lighting was nice and dark which I like. The server gladly cut, served, and provided candles for the birthday cake we brought in for our daughter. All four of us remarked that we need to come here more often!
Staff was very attentive. We arrived a bit early so we sat at the bar until it was time to be seated.
Seated on time. Staff very attentive. Food was delish.
Very nice experience!
Very poor & slow service. Arrived at 5:30 for 8pm show. Took 45 minutes for our entree’s to arrive and valet service was equally slow making us rush to make our 8pm show.
food was delicious and John our server, was perfect!
Took my 10 year-old daughter before the Blue Jackets game and we had a fabulous dinner. Our server, Brad, was so good with my daughter. Food was great. Service was great.
Excellent in every way
Kelli Lynch is the best!
Each of the staff members were excellent. They are always very courteous and anticipate our needs.
Awesome cocktails and great wine list! The service was excellent. Our server Joey was very personable through out the meal and helpful when picking out a bottle of wine. The manager stopped by as well and she was very friendly. Thank you Martini for an amazing birthday dinner!
Excellent as always.
We come here every time we're in Columbus.
Bring back the tuna entree.
Four of us and we all tried something different & shared tastes with each other. Tried octopus & bruschetta appetizers--both fantastic! (Never knew I could even like octopus!). Caesar Salad was one of the best ever! Love how the lettuce was still cold-a pet peeve of mine--loved it! Dinners included chicken marsala, chicken piccatta, lasagna, & salmon. One was better than the other! Only downfall--everything was sooo good it will make choices on return visit difficult to decide!
Seated next to two extremely loud drunk girls’ tables and it almost ruined it. I know this isn’t the restaurants fault but these people were screaming all night and I couldn’t hear my date. Food and drinks were great though and the server was very attentive.
Great atmosphere, amazing food and impeccable service. Would definitely go back
Our food was fantastic but our service was not of the same standard. We all ordered from the restaurant week menu but my meal was missed. We were not asked about the wine pairings at each course. My husband asked for coffee but no one else at the table was asked if they wanted any. It certainly did ot interfer with our evening just somewhat disappointing.
Our evening started out on a positive note and ended very negatively. We had a 6:30 reservation. We were seated at a nice table where we were enjoying great conversation UNTIL they set-up for two tables of 12 and 20 people. When the table of 12 was seated, the noise level was so loud we couldn't have a conversation without shouting. To top it off, our waitress was waiting on the 12 person table and our service went "south" quickly. Her attention was on the 12 person table and we were left sitting and waiting. Our waitress was so focused on the other table that we became, pretty much, non-existent. Finally she came and asked if we were ready for our dessert (it was part of our meal as a Restaurant Week promotion). We said we were and then waited almost 25 minutes for that dessert to arrive. I'm not sure how it takes 25 minutes for the kitchen to cut a piece of cheesecake and chocolate pudding cake, but that's how long we waited. Just before the dessert came, my husband asked for the manager. Although apologetic, she did nothing to work to earn our return business. She did tell my husband if we'd come back she'd "take care of us." He then told her we would not be back regardless of whether we were "taken care of or not." I'm not sure why restaurants aren't little more strategic when sitting a table of two between larger tables of louder patrons. In addition, I get that the tip potential was much greater at the larger table, but for a server to put all her focus on that table and leave another table to wait is frustrating at best. As I said, the night started wonderfully and very positive. In fact, we both said to each other, "This could be our new favorite restaurant." But thanks to the course the night took, Martini Modern will be anything but a favorite.
We’ve been to Martini several times . Atmosphere is ALWAYS a plus .... service is ALWAYS great.....food is really good, although the fettuccini Alfredo I had with this last meal needed a little ‘umph’. The cocktails and wine were outstanding !
Birthday dinner. Great Ambience .
Basic Italian menu with a twist. If you are looking for traditional entrees from the old country, this is too modern for you. There are better restaurants in Short North and it's pricey as well. Service is good and the cheesecake is great.
The short rib is to die for...... I will dream of that meal! Fabulous
Food was average at best while being very expensive. The free bread was a disgrace to Italian food. It tasted like a bad loaf purchased from Krogers.
We had a great dinner at Martini. The food was delicious. Our server, John, made the experience even more amazing! He was nice, quick, and everything was perfect. Can't recommend enough.
As anticipated from a Cameron Mitchell restaurant, the experience was outstanding--excellent service, delicious food, enticing ambiance. We had the good fortune of dining during Columbus Restaurant Week, so enjoyed an incredibly tasty and satisfying greens salad, an absolutely yummy chicken entree, and to-die-for chocolate bread pudding for just $40 per person. We shared those selections, along with a wickedly tasty osso bucco, plus a reasonably priced bottle of an Oregon pinot noir, and have nothing but praise for each component of the meal, a virtue also true of the welcoming, accommodating service provided by a well-trained and personable staff.
Best meal I’ve had in Columbus. Everything was perfect, down to the table bread. I don’t even have constructive criticism; everything about the night was perfect. Looking forward to my next meal at Martini Modern.
The food is always amazing! One of my favorite places to eat in Columbus. However, the service this time was very very poor. Our waitress was extremely unfriendly, which was something that we have not experienced anywhere else. In my opinion, this is unacceptable for a high quality place like Martini. I would still recomend it and go again since the place is delicious, I would just hope we do not get the same waitress, as all the other waiters and waitresses were similing and in a good mood.
My husband and I were in Columbus for the weekend and found Martini Modern Italian to be outstanding in every way. I had the best chicken Parmesan I've ever had and his scallops were beautifully presented and delicious. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful with wine recommendations. The atmosphere was intimate and unrushed. Highly recommended!
The best Italian food we’ve ever had. The service was fantastic and the quality of the food was superb. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back.
Great Happy Hour at the bar with friends and Dinner afterwards. The Butternut Squash Tortelloni was Outstanding... with table side service. Staff and Service were The Best! As always... Consistently excellent food and service... A favorite destination.
Wonderful ambiance and amazing food!
We enjoyed this location and probably will be back. Service was attentive and friendly, which we appreciated. Decent happy hour too. Only drawback was that it was a bit noisy, but given that it was quite busy, that's understandable (still, some sound baffles might help). Food was quite good but pricy. Portions were good for us--not too much food. The bread pudding was really good.
Love this place
Service was fantastic. Was not hungry enough for an entree size portion of the risotto and she offered to do an appetizer size with a salad.
apps and drinks were good
my short rib entree was underwhelming. overly fatty piece of meat, potatoes were undercooked, too firm.
GREAT PLACE, VERY COZY AND SERVICE SO FRIENDLY. WE SAT UP ON AN ELEVATED AREA WHICH WAS VERY NICE. WE DIDN'T FEEL RUSHED AND WERE ABLE TO TAKE OUR TIME HAVING OUR WINE FIRST BEFORE ORDERING.
