The clam chowder was one of the best we have had. Ordered lobster Rangoon’s. They were ok. Then came the salads! Delicious and huge! We over ordered for sure. Ate half the Cesar and had to take home. Service was excellent.

2 of four meals were excellent. The other two were not . Our biggest issue though was an incredibly loud group who were yelling and carrying on to the point it hurt our ears. For a pricey restaurant the behavior of this large group was not appropriate and ruined the ambiance. We did bring it up to the waiter but he said he could not do anything about it.

My Mom, sister and I dined at the Chowder House last night, early visitor season. After 4+ hours of travel we were hungry and hankering for lobster (and chowder)- this place did not disappoint. Our server was wonderful and the food delicious!! We were so full (portions are large) we had to order our desserts to go. It was what we needed!
