Our recipes have been handed down through our family for three generations. Only the finest and freshest ingredients go into our menu and we are happy to share our love of food with you.
Some of our favorite dishes are Grilled calamari, Tortellini romano, Chicken Saltimboca and of course, our signature dish, The Mart Anthony Filet encrusted in Pecorino Romano cheese in a Pomodoro sauce. Have lunch or dinner around a table with your family or co-workers, or a cozy dinner for two. Come sit elbow-to-elbow at the bar and enjoy the camaraderie that happens when our customers are well-fed and have their cocktail of choice at hand. The dining room at Mart Anthony’s can accommodate all of these different groups and then some. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and if you’re not careful, you may stay longer than you thought.
Great old school atmosphere. Awesome staff. Food was outstanding.
Excellent food and welcoming atmosphere. The Bolognese sauce on the ravioli was among the best I’ve had. My husband’s salmon and our son’s whitefish special were delicious. Spiro, our server, was friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back.
John does a great job. Both food and service excellent.
Mart Anthony's is my favorite Italian restaurant in a city that is loaded with great Italian restaurants. It is, literally, the down-the-block restaurant where you feel like Family. We are always greeted like they've been waiting for us all day! The owner and wait staff are like relatives and the food is like Grandma's!
I can't say enough about Mart Anthony's. We never feel bad about spending our dining dollar at mart Anthony's. It's always money well spent!
Couldn’t ask for more accommodating staff or better food. Perfection!
New Year’s Eve dinner with friends! No matter what you order it will be great!
The owner always stops by your table to say hi and make sure everything is good!
Servers and staff have become old friends!
Was looking for something reasonably priced for a New Years dinner, with a friend coming into town, near the Fulton Market area. I stumbled upon this restaurant on Open Table and the reviews did not sell it short. It is a quaint neighborhood restaurant that just gives you all the classic Italian family vibes. A woman, I believe to be the manager or owner, was embracing what seemed to be a regular, the waiter ,Sparrow, was very knowledgeable and his recommendations were excellent. Portions are large and delicious. I will 100% be back and will recommend to family and friends! Happy New Year!!!!!
Always great food, excellent service and a restaurant I look forward to going to again.....soon.
Always great food and attentive service.
Mart Anthony's has become our go-to place to dine. Excellent food ... attentive, pleasant service ... and a neighborhood atmosphere that's so welcoming. Would highly recommend!
Delicious food, friendly and attentive service. This is a very consistently cozy spot for traditional Italian fare. Great for celebrations or just a regular night out.
Great Italian place
We always have have a wonderful time at Mart Anthony’s! Delicious food and excellent service! Highly recommend!
Our meals were absolutely delicious! We got the stuffed gnocchi, tortellini, the cheese corn vesuvio and the specialty chicken dish. It was all so good! Everyone was very happy with their food. The ambiance is great, just a nice neighborhood family-owned restaurant. And the price was right too. We will definitely be back!
Great, neighborhood Italian spot with friendly staff, generous pours, and awesome food! Nice combination of casual and higher-end fare, and the pizza is top-notch. This place is becoming a go-to for me in the River West/West Loop area.
Spiro is the best!
Food was delicious!! The staff was very friendly. Will definitely return when in town again.
Best Italian Restaurant in the West Loop. Food is solid and the service is excellent. Our go-to restaurant for a guaranteed great time! An neighborhood gem!
My college girlfriends and I have come to Mart Anthony’s twice as a mini reunion over the holidays. The service is spectacular, as is the food and ambiance. Super cozy and friendly. Great mix of people... highly recommend!!!
The food was very good but the portions were kind of small and noticeably smaller than last year when I ate there
we've been going for several years, great food at reasonable prices, great service. Highly recommended
Food quality was very good. Traditional Italian cooking and a very affordable midrange wine list. Table was a bit small; but given the restaurant size, it may be difficult to improve. Very efficient wait staff.
Very good-just short of excellent though
My wife and I love this place. Every time we go, we wish we would think of it more often. Cozy, festive and very friendly. Great food. Did I mention the meatballs? Just an overall great neighborhood joint. A gem.
Everything was awesome, from the drinks, appetizers, dessert, service. It was my friends birthday and we could not have had a better time
The owner, John, and our waiter (I forget his name) were very welcoming. The atmosphere was classy, yet casual. The food was outstanding, especially the sausage&peppers, Braciole and shrimp appetizer.
Excellent Business Holiday lunch location. Great Food & Great value..
The experience and food were pretty good however the environment became fairly loud and it was hard to hear the other guests at my table.
Great food and ambiance. Classic Italian restaurant feel with top notch service. Will be returning
Outstanding food and the owner comes to every table making sure everything is great! Great place to eat or just go for appetizers and drinks too!
Birthday dinner! Wonderful food and service is always top notch!
It is our VERY FAVORITE ITALIAN RESTAURANT!!!!!
Best Italian in all of Chicago!
This is just a classic Chicago Italian place, which is great.
Great local restaurant. Excellent staff and services the food was great. Reasonable priced wines. Decent desserts.
Always a pleasure dining at Mart Antony's prior to heading to the UC. Brought 2 first timers and they were blown away. Classic Martini's to start - and instead of appetizers, we ordered an extra stuffed gnocchi for the table. One guest had the lobster ravioli and raved about it -one had a filet mignon and I has the bracciole - couldn't decide between that and the veal parm so the waiter recommended the bracciole - might be the best I ever had! They use filet and it shows - great texture, fantastic flavor and we were out in 90 minutes! All of my guests have now added this to their dining rotation!
Mart Anthony is a breath of fresh air in the West Loop. The food is cooked fresh, it's delicious and the valet is free!
