Our recipes have been handed down through our family for three generations. Only the finest and freshest ingredients go into our menu and we are happy to share our love of food with you.
Some of our favorite dishes are Grilled calamari, Tortellini romano, Chicken Saltimboca and of course, our signature dish, The Mart Anthony Filet encrusted in Pecorino Romano cheese in a Pomodoro sauce. Have lunch or dinner around a table with your family or co-workers, or a cozy dinner for two. Come sit elbow-to-elbow at the bar and enjoy the camaraderie that happens when our customers are well-fed and have their cocktail of choice at hand. The dining room at Mart Anthony’s can accommodate all of these different groups and then some. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and if you’re not careful, you may stay longer than you thought.
The owner, John, and our waiter (I forget his name) were very welcoming. The atmosphere was classy, yet casual. The food was outstanding, especially the sausage&peppers, Braciole and shrimp appetizer.
The experience and food were pretty good however the environment became fairly loud and it was hard to hear the other guests at my table.
Great food and ambiance. Classic Italian restaurant feel with top notch service. Will be returning
Outstanding food and the owner comes to every table making sure everything is great! Great place to eat or just go for appetizers and drinks too!
It is our VERY FAVORITE ITALIAN RESTAURANT!!!!!
Best Italian in all of Chicago!
This is just a classic Chicago Italian place, which is great.
Great local restaurant. Excellent staff and services the food was great. Reasonable priced wines. Decent desserts.
Always a pleasure dining at Mart Antony's prior to heading to the UC. Brought 2 first timers and they were blown away. Classic Martini's to start - and instead of appetizers, we ordered an extra stuffed gnocchi for the table. One guest had the lobster ravioli and raved about it -one had a filet mignon and I has the bracciole - couldn't decide between that and the veal parm so the waiter recommended the bracciole - might be the best I ever had! They use filet and it shows - great texture, fantastic flavor and we were out in 90 minutes! All of my guests have now added this to their dining rotation!
Mart Anthony is a breath of fresh air in the West Loop. The food is cooked fresh, it's delicious and the valet is free!
Very cozy neighborhood restaurant, a true gem! Service was very attentive. Food was delicious. I had the Mart Anthony filet, Probably the best fillet mignon I’ve had in a long time, very tender! My son had the gnocchi filled with ricotta and spinach, he said it was the best he’s ever had! Very close to the United Center. Went here for dinner before a Bulls game. Highly recommend, I would definitely go there again.
Mike, the proprietor is a warm and engaging host. Food is simple and delicious. Service very friendly and attentive.
Food was terrific!
Always a great location, only 1-1/2 miles away from the United Center. Food and service never disappoints us either. Thanks Louis for taking care of our car while we Ubered to the Stadium.
We love it here! The best service and so family oriented which is hard to find in Chicago. Love this place can’t recommend it enough! Oh and the food is the best Italian food in Chicago!
We love this place! Great atmosphere, honest recommendations about food served and FREE valet parking is great!!
Love love loved everything from service, food, atmosphere and drinks. Will definitely be back again!
So, Mart Antony's is one of our favorite neighborhood gems. Great Italian food in a lovely family-owned cozy restaurant with a lively local bar as well. The classics are always excellent--but don't miss the specials. I had the pumpkin stuffed with barley and mushrooms accompanied by scallops--and had to fend off my fellow diners--repeatedly. Good wine list and this is one of the few places that I'll split a dessert--they are just that good. Highly recommend.
We LOVE this place! We’ve gone three Fridays in a row now. Espiero is the best waiter!
What a gem!! Awesome food, service, and vibes! We will be back!
Great neighborhood Italian bar and restaurant. Prices were very reasonable and the food was great. Highly recommend!
A hidden gem!!! Always a great meal to have with friends and family.
It was wonderful food and service
Love the neighborhood feel of this gem! The food is great, the atmosphere is friendly and the owner is always there with a smile!
Another enjoyable evening at one of our favorite restaurants! Not only is the food more than delicious, the owner and staff make you feel like family! I asked if the chef could make a variation of a veal dish that was not on the menu (Veal Francese) and not only did he make the dish, but it was possibly the best I've ever had! The atmosphere is relaxing, never rushed. And al fresco dining is available. Would highly recommend for date night, special occasion, girls night, or just in the mood for a relaxing great meal!
Great neighborhood place
We enjoyed the meal and the service. It was a perfect evening.
Awesome and great
Outdoor space rocks!
Had a fun raiser to attend and decided to dine at Mart Anthony’s first. Have not been to this location due to being transferred out of the area for 10 years. The family has carried on Mart’s restaurant since he passed away in 2017. Same food, quality and just a great meal. Great job!
Good old school Italian restaurant. There’s a new outdoor section for parties or after dinner relaxation. Very nice, I love the Chairman’s Music, the service, and the food!
The food was outstanding as usual. The service lead by Spirio was great. Mart Anthony’s is a gem of an Italian restaurant that is family owned and has excellent food and service.
Family gathering. Amazing food and ambiance!
It's a very laid back old fashioned neighborhood style restaurant.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They also have the best baked artichoke I've had in a very long time. All of the food was delicious. I'd highly recommend it.
Great neighborhood Italian joint! Drinks are spot on, food is delicious and timely. The free bread served when you first sit down is a little tough to chew, and that seems to be the standard at all Italian restaurants.
As I’ve said before.. if you haven’t been here you must GO! Great neighborhood vibe, good food and the owner and staff feel like family ( that you want to be around) !!!
The best kind of old school Chicago Italian place. Love love love.
My favorite Italian place in Chicago. They have hands down the absolute best stuffed gnocchi you will find! Highly reccommed!
Went maybe in the earlier side so it was pleasantly quiet. Warm welcoming ambiance. Food was excellent.
