Marsilios Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
We will always keep coming back to Marsillio's. Whether its a special item or simply off the menu, we have never been disappointed in our meal. During our last experience wait staff was impeccable, SO attentive. Our server Ben was tremendous, - very engaging which added to a wonderful night.
We decided to try this restaurant because of the good reviews we had read. We were VERY disappointed! First, we sat at the bar, and the bartender (our server) was grumpy and unpleasant, (and pretty slow). Then, the food: we started with the calamari and the artichoke appetizers. Both were deep fried (not a surprise) and both very greasy. The complimentary salad was fine ... spring mix with a simple balsamic dressing ... nothing special but adequate. For our dinner, we ordered the chicken cacciatore, described on the menu as their most popular dish. Well, I don't know why it would be. Although the sauce was tasty, the meat was very dry and overcooked! Very disappointing! The best dishes we had were the pencil points with marinara, which came with the chicken, and the roasted vegetables, which were nicely prepared and tasty.
In addition a glass of wine that at other places costs $9-$10 was $12 and since there was no wine list by the glass, we were surprised to see that when we got the bill.
This restaurant was quite pricy, even though we only ordered 1 entree.
All in all, we will not return.
Excellent food at a fair price. Very good, attentive service without being overbearing. I had dinner here two nights ago with two of my grown daughters. One of my daughters and I had the salmon, which was particularly good. My other daughter had the chicken catchatori, which she also enjoyed. We shared the muscles as an appetizer ... another good choice, especially the brooth
We got stuck in traffic so we were 25 min late and they accommodated us with no issue. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and entire staff was friendly and attentive to our table. The food tasted authentic and fresh. This was our third time here and look forward to our next visit.
This was our second visit to Marsilio’s in its current location. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service and the atmosphere. I had the seared scallops and my husband had the meatball/chicken Parmesan combination. Dessert (pumpkin cheesecake) and tortofu was excellent. Even though it’s quite a drive for us to get to Marsilio’s we will definitely be back.
This has always been a dependable favorite. The food always excellent but today outstanding. Appetizer shrimp francais alone would prompt a revisit. Scallops were large, tender accompanied by mushrooms and spinach in a wonderful sauce. My wife had veal parm- a classic dish, but much better here. Portions large- take home for tomorrow. Recommend without reservation.
No matter the day of the week Marsilio's shines brightly among local and surrounding restaurants. The food is consistently fresh snd well served.. It's like going to your favorite friend or relatives house and being welcomed with open arms, great cocktails, hot delicious food, and plenty of great conversation. We can't get enough of the veal parm and clams casino. They are the best anywhere. The pastas are all great but I love the homemade gnocchi, especially on a cold winter's night. The wine list offers great choices to go with their dishes. Our favorite wines are the super Tuscans and the prices are a great value. If you like dessert s try the cannoli sundae or "cant decide" choice It's a brilliant idea when one simply can't decide. Keep it up,Marsilio's. You have figured out Italian!!
We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. I think you cannot go wrong with any of the signature dishes. The Veal Salimboca was fantastic! My son’s seafood pasta was a bit bland, but filled with seafood. The portions are very generous and the staff friendly. You will leave stuffed, happy and sleepy - just what you expect from a very satisfying Italian meal.
I was really disappointed with my visit this time. My waiter was off, and brought me the wrong dinner. He then he came out of the kitchen a few minutes later with a Luke warm one. He was not very attentive, we ordered a nice bottle of wine and poured it ourselves. It was a birthday dinner and was noted in our reservation however, they somehow forgot when we ordered dessert to put a candle in it. My last trip here in September was amazing! What a difference a day makes!
