This one of my top 3 restaurants of all time anywhere. I live about 3 hours away, but have made the trip, sometimes staying overnight, specifically to have a meal at Marsha Brown. Been there about 6 or 7 times and it never disappoints. Aside from the food, the professional and personable staff has always made it a dining experience. For this particular occasion, we were privileged to be served by Mick. People like him are some of the restaurant's greatest assets.

41 dollar filet mignon was good until the party I had to spit out in the bathroom. Ugh. Place is tired n needs an update. Food is priced like above average steakhouse n is just not that. Wanted to like it but thought it was ok not great.
Was cool 15 years ago just needs an update!!!
Dirty old material on the walls n lights dirty. Glasses on tables needed to be cwiped of fingerprints. Just sub par for what's supposed to be high end steakhouse. Also no to in ladies room n it was only 7 pm. Just run like a old bar not a hot restaurant. I just didn't see that. Won't be back anytime soon.

We dined here for our anniversary. Our server was Adrian, he was great! He was honest when we asked for opinions on the menu and guided us towards the crab beignets which are amazing!!!

This was not a very good experience for us. We have been to Marsha Brown's many times with this being by far the worst experience we have had. First we had a 6:30 reservation and when we got there the valet lot was full???? The request we had for a certain section of the restaurant could not be accommodated and when we got seated in the main dining room we noticed that about half of the tables were empty??? Then when we tried to order our meals they had just 86'd one of the items we tried to order. Nonetheless we found other things to order. We waited for almost an hour for our entrees to be delivered to our table. When the food was delivered it was delivered by the manager and I asked him to stay close by in case there was a problem. Well there was, the food came out cold and had to be taken back to the kitchen. The manager assured us that we would have all NEW entrees instead of them just reheating the original entrees. When they brought the entrees back to the table they were the same entrees just microwaved. This was ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE especially since the manager told us we would have new entrees. When he came back to the table we told him what they brought us and he was embarrassed by that and said he was going to comp out entire bill. The manager was more than helpful and made it a point to make sure that we had everything we needed the rest of the dinner. Hopefully this was an anomaly since we have had much better experiences in the past. We are willing to give them another chance.

Jack is the best server! We always request him, and we are never disappointed. The chopped salad is delish and can be split into two, and the roasted chicken is order-out worthy. This place is a staple for us!

Always a good time. Staff is the best! Karen our waitress was friendly and attentive. Knew the menu and always a smile. Jack, our usual server was off, but in for a special party, yet made time to stop by our table to say hello. Randy behind the bar is the best as well!

Just to get started worse dinning experience of my life. We had to wait for our table for more then half our, even though we of course had reservations. Once we did get seated, the place was so loud that we could not enjoy our conversation. We ordered a cocktail just that we could try and relax from all the noise. We ordered our appetizers and our dinner. I ordered the catfish bites, now when I think of bites. I think of bites as small things. This was basically a very thin piece of fish filet heavily heavily breaded, horrible. My girlfriend had the so called famous crab cheese cake, we did not care for it. We did not enjoy any of it. After waiting 45 minutes and not getting our meal. I complained to our waiter. He went to look into it. After he did not return I went to complain to the manager. He said he would look into it. I decided to go outside and have a cigarette, when I returned we still did not have our diner and no one came to our table. I simply asked for the check, manger came over and asked if we wanted a drink and that he would comp our appetizer. I refused his offer I don’t need anyone to cook me anything I simply need good service I said. I paid our bill and started to walk out, as we are leaving the server is coming toward us, saying here is your dinner. 1-1/2 after we ordered. I said give it to another table. We had a much nice time once we left this so called high end fancy place. Ended up at John and Peter’s, which is a dive in everyone’s eyes. I’ll tell this we where treated better, service was better, and the music was fantastic. Do yourselves a favor and skip Marsha Brown, go next door to the Logan or some other place.

Marsha Brown's is a variation on Ruth Chris Steak House and the owner also owns two Ruth Chris Franchises. Similar menu with a twist of Cajun dishes from her grandmother's recipes. Fantastic food, service and ambiance. The setting is novel with the mural and original stained glass – the restaurant was renovated from a church.

Celebrated my father’s 60th birthday dinner this past weekend. Since it was a special occasion they gave a free printed photo of our family as well as a complimentary dessert which was really nice. The service was excellent and the server also made some very good recommendations. Everyone loved their meals. Would highly recommend for any special occasion or date, or for anyone looking to enjoy a unique menu in a one of a kind location.

A solid dinner experience but not exceptional. The taste of New Orleans definitely came through. Portions are generous. Gumbo Ya Ya was a little salty. Food was tasty but a little heavy. But of course that’s traditional New Orleans style.

We were impressed with the unique setting and vibrant atmosphere of Marsha Brown’s. I wanted to try everything on the menu — so many entreès appealed, and Mick, our very personable and professional server was adept at guiding me to what I would enjoy most. He was excellent and never rushed us, even when we had questions. My filet medallions were cooked perfectly (rare) and my husband and I loved our dinners. It was an excellent dining experience.

Terrific evening. Do to some physical restrictions and after we were told valet parking was full. Sergio the manager came outside, hopped into our car and took us to handicap parking in the back. He went above and beyond what a manager would do. Made sure we had a great time.

Our waiter Neil could not have more delightful, helpful, gave great service and was very personable as was the rest of his team.

A+ on the evening.

While we enjoyed our evening, we won’t return. Neil, our server, was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. Food was ok, but overpriced. I fully expected the food to be fabulous , but it fell short. $118.00 for lobster tail? Seriously? We have wanted to have dinner there for months- now we got it out of our system.
