The food, as always, was excellent, especially if you like Cajun fair. Unfortunately, the service was abysmal.
Still love the restaurant but the service must improve. Not getting your entree for almost an hour after your appetizer is not acceptable.
Everything at Marsha Brown's was lovely. We were four friends celebrating a birthday.
Mick, our waiter, was delightful and accommodating. The wine selection was great.
The food was delicious. We would definitely return.
Loved Marsha Browns !
Everything was excellent from the
appetizers to dessert !
Our waiter Neil was very
attentive making our Anniversary
even more special !!!
Thank you !
The food is very good. There was four in our party. The men both had one of the steak specials offered that night, which tasted so amazing! I had the surf and turf, which unfortunately, I had to send back because everything was cold. They were very quick to reheat and it didn't come back that hot, but I wasn't going to make a fuss. The other guest had the scallops and she said they were delicious and from what I saw they were huge. Overall, our dining experience was very good.
Celebrating business and good friends.
Our first visit and thoroughly enjoyed it. The entire experience was great!
We got a gift card for Marsha Brown's and we loved it. There was only one thing we weren't happy with on the menu. The Catfish Botes were not bites at all. They were more like tenders and they were dry.
Everything else was excellent. We will definitely go again.
Wendy and the staff were great! The french martini’s were excellent
EXCELLENT - great food, wonderful service. Really enjoyed. Will definitely go back.
Love the high energy ambience and the food is terrific
I and my daughter spent a weekend in New Hope where I attended a business meeting. Years ago I had eaten at Marsha Brown's and remembered its unique setting in a church. It hadn't changed and I think that's a positive. Kind of cool to eat in a church. The service was amazing and the food quite good. We each had a cocktail and both were mixed quite well and tasted good. I had a steak filet and my daughter had steak tenderloins. Both were very good cuts of meat and were well cooked. The portions were large and that is true for the side dishes. Each side dish really serves 2 people. Dessert was the bread pudding and it was just phenomenal. The only two negatives were the noise level and the fact that the tables seemed to be crammed in, too close to each other. Yes, I would recommend it but not as a regular place to eat at due to overall noise and cost.
The food was wonderful and our servers were great. It was a little noisy we were on the balcony and there was a party of 12 that was noisy.
This was the second time my wife and I went to Marsha Brown, but this time we brought my brother and his wife. The food was excellent. You cannot go wrong with any of the choices. The waiter was attentive and entertaining.
Really enjoyed our dinner here. We went on a date for our anniversary. Everything was beyond delicious- the soup, the entree as well as the dessert. The wait staff were professional and courteous. Highly recommend.
Fantastic as always. Favorite place for dinner.
The setting is just incredible! The large dining room is impressive and spectacular, and it lends to a completely unique experience. The service was impeccable, with wait staff being very attentive yet not overbearing. We've been to New Orleans many times, and the food at Marsha Brown's was some of the best cajun/creole style cuisine we've had. We'll be back!
Menu selections was terrific and the food outstanding. I love the attention to detail in the dinning room, staff and food. You gotta try the bread pudding!
Excellent restaurant for the food and atmosphere. Located in New Hope, Pennsylvania their is much to see and do.
A wonderful experience of what the French Quarter of New Orleans offers with class, charm and old fashioned southern hospitality! We look forward to coming back again and again!
Food as always was excellent. The crab cheesecake is a treat. The Manhattan steak was great as always. Wife likes the salmon and shrimp. Wine list is well rounded the Pinot Noir we had was terrific. The only complaint is the center dining tables are very small and too close together.
Birthday celebration
An exceptional menu of fine New Orleans favorites and traditional dining. The New Orleans cuisine is outstanding. Rich flavors all around.
Wonderful dining experience
Friendly staff
We love the service, food, atmosphere (lively) at MB. The dining experience is always pleasurable when we go, which is not always the case at a lot of restaurants when you would expect it to be. We try getting there several times during the year, but it just wouldn’t be Christmas without going to MB on Christmas Eve.
The food was great. Very interesting choices. Server was very nice, funny but not overwhelming.
The place is an old converted church so the venue is worth the experience and money. The kept the old stain glass windows intact and the choir loft is still there for private functions.
The place is known for really great steaks since the owner of Marsha Brown is always owner of Ruth Chris's so meat eaters will be very happy.
After all the reviews we needed to apparently try the crab cheesecake. It was ok. Not all hyped to be. Filet medallions good. My stuffed chicken good. Not one of our best meals but pretty good overall. Food came out quickly. Also wrote on open table other notes that it was my boyfriends birthday. No happy birthday greeting or candle in dessert like others have mentioned happened
I have been to Marsha Brown's on several occasions. I am there at least twice a month. This particular time, the service was only mediocre and the food was less than adequate. The stake was very salty. The french fries were undercooked. The shrimp cocktail was poor. It seemed the shrimp had been sitting on Ice for quite some time and were a bit soggy and rubbery. This should not be the case for the price. Even though this was a birthday, the wait staff made no attempt to provide even a candle in the dessert. My opinion is that the food and service are declining at this establishment. I eat fine dinning around two times per week in different locations and this experience was very dissatisfying.
Food and service was excellent , was a bit pricey... and vallet car service , you had to look for him and was very very slow
The space is gorgeous, but I wish my crab cakes and their side of green beans with bacon and blue cheese had arrived warm, instead of cold. My husband's surf and turf was delicious--particularly the steak and the crab risotto.
One of our favorite restaurants in the area. Hard not to order everything on the menu! Amazing flavors and variety; cannot wait to go again!
My wife and I love this place. It's one of our favorite restaurants. We've been there a few times and each occasion the experience was excellent. From the menu to the service to the quality of the food, all aspects are at the highest level. Great place! Don't wait, go tonight! BTW - We definitely recommend the crab cheesecake as an appetizer.
Jack is excellent server! Highly recommend!
Four of us went for dinner. Had a good meal - good Italian red wine choices, a few below $50 per bottle. Gumbo was average- crab cakes were good, beef medallion was good and soft.
Restaurant week menu was AWESOME!!!! Super 4 course menu for $35!
Great service, fresh seafood excellent wine selection
Seafood special not at all as described and the wine was not the vintage listed on the wine list. Disappointing for a usually reliable restaurant.
One of the best meals I've had in a while. Service was great...nice and quiet
We come every year for our anniversary with another couple. The food is always excellent.
Food, service, staff all great. Enjoyed the bar as well. Will definitely recommend to others and will definitely visit again.
