First time there having been recommended by friends; we'd walked past this cool place that was once a church dozens of times. The service was terrific, we waited about a half hour or more at the bar, it seems a large party sort of clogged the system. Finally seated, we sat in the upper level which still is a very lively part of the restaurant, so don't be afraid to sit up there!
I have to say that our only complaint was that the food was way over-salted. It was so obvious that each of us commented on it. There are lots of restaurants/chefs that seem do do this but it really isn't necessary. The salt theme cut across from the (signature) crab cheesecake and into the side dishes (we had creamed spinach and the sweet potatoes).
But my fish was good, and my wife and her friend enjoyed the huge tomahawk-cut ribeye.
We seldom return to a restaurant that over-salts like that; maybe we will just hit the bar for drinks, but not a beer as there are none on draft... didn't they get the craft beer memo?
Excellent as always. My wife and I love this place. Micky our server was excellent.
Our server Mickey was fantastic, Meal very good. One draw back is that seating was very cramped. When sever was at table next to us he would bang into my shoulder and his butt would bang up against our table.
Fantastic food as always! The service is good however the server is always very busy and it can take extra time before they get to you. The server’s assistant should be allowed to take cocktail orders!
Went there for the first time this past weekend. Food was delicious and our waiter Mick was awesome. He really made our experience so great!
Fantastic service and food.
Appetizer was shrimp cocktail at $8 per shrimp. As appetizer was brought out our dinners were brought out. I looked at the server and said "you're serious?" and all I got was an "I'm sorry" and abruptly walked away. At those prices it's simply not acceptable. I was out with a friend and wasn't about to make a big deal over it but it really should have been comped or something should have been offered.
Marsha Brown was what I expected. The food was great and the service was pretty satisfactory. It is a bit loud and slightly too crammed for my preferences. But it didn't take away from the experience. Creole isn't a cuisine that I come across as frequently as I'd like so it is nice that it's pretty local. I'd recommend trying it!
We had a wonderful dinner! The food is as excellent, and wait staff was attentive! The food came out fast!
I had the filet mignon and the twice baked potatoes, which were both unbelievable. It was one of those dishes that you keep eating, even though you're full. The green beans were pretty good too, but nothing beats the potatoes. I'm drooling even thinking about them.
