Whether celebrating with family and friends or hosting a business event, Marrakesh can accommodate all your private dining needs in a unique setting.
View Private Dining DetailsWhen we arrived at the restaurant we were informed that because we were a party of more than 5 people we could only order the set menu, because that is what they offer groups on weekends. Several people in our group didn't want to eat the limited selection that was offered on the set menu. We asked if we could order a few set menus(they want everyone in the group to order it), and some additional dishes of the regular menu, we were told no, that on weekends they won't do that. So if you don't want to eat the set menu you have to go with 5 people or less! Very disappointing, especially since it was a birthday get-together.
Food was good, and server was very friendly, but service was quite slow. We were in there for almost 3 hours.
Love Marrakech! The food is so unique and flavorful!
Waited 30min to order drinks and every bottle of wine we ordered was not available. 45 min to get bread that was burned. Almost 1.5 hours to get food. Service was almost non-existent. The room felt run down, the bathrooms were disgusting. Men’s room door would not close and faucet was falling out. Flush handle in women’s room was also falling off. Cannot fathom how this restaurant received the reviews it has on open table.
My group had assorted diets, meat eaters, vegetarian AND vegan, and everyone was exceptionally pleased with Marrakech. We were there for hours, left stuffed and happy. Highly recommend.
Appetizers were great, but main course was cold.
We were the only customers in the restaurant - and yet, they seemed unprepared to have any customers. For example what Moroccan restaurant would be out of couscous? I asked for a club soda - and it looked like they had to send someone out to buy a bottle of it so that they could serve me. The chicken was dry and the rice inedible. I have never submitted a negative review before - but this one really warranted it!
Went here with my wife on a Saturday night. We had an 8:30 reservation. We got there at 8:40 and were immediately seated. The restaurant was almost completely empty, with maybe 2 other parties at this fairly large restaurant.
We both ordered the pre-fix 7-course dinner. Overall the food was average. Nothing stood out as either great of bad. Both the chicken and lamb dishes had some pieces of meat that were perfectly tender and some pieces that were badly overcooked.
Our waiter was great, but the service was incredibly slow. It took about 20 minutes from the time we ordered before we were served bread. It took another 15 minutes after that for our first course to be served. The entire meal took a little over 2 hours from the time we ordered until the last course was brought out. Its nice if you plan for it, but make sure you plan most of your night around this meal.
I had my birthday party here wth 20 people and they were so friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend
Took our 12 year old granddaughter there and had a very nice meal. Large group of young people came in and made it quite noisy but it was quiet before them
Suprisingly good, great service! We were a large group and the food was amazing!
Authentic, tasty Moroccan food. Excellent, knowledgeable server. Reasonable prices. Baklava desert was outstanding.
My wife & I went here on a Sunday evening, and we enjoyed our Moroccan dinner very much! The food was delicious & plentiful; the service was prompt & friendly; and the 7-course prix-fixe menu was an excellent deal. We hope to return on another night when there's belly
dancing. I'll just mention three things that could use some improvement: the restaurant was chilly; the recorded music was a bit too loud (although it was very good ethnic music from the region); and the cocktail & wine prices were on the high side.
The food was fantastic, the ambiance was very cozy, and the server was funny and engaging. Every single thing we had was delicious, but I would recommend the spicy shrimp appetizer and the lamb or chicken tagine.
Good dinner. I liked harira soup. Couscous that was served with lamb was very good. Next time in Washington DC, this would be our first choice restaurant.
The restaurant was dated and the restroom was dirty and out of toilet paper. A few of the food items were good like the vegetables and chicken pastry. The main course of lamb and chicken were so terrible that no one at our table of five had more than a taste. The service was great and they kept on top of everything. We were extremely disappointed in the entertainment expecting a few exotic belly dancers in beautiful costumes, but getting one girl in a less than lustrous costume although she was a nice girl. Not worth the long wait for her to perform. Food was expensive and they added mandatory 20% tip on top of total and 12% tax. I would not go here again and not recommend it to anyone.
The staff was wonderful and personable. This was a memorable birthday to celebrate with wonderful food and great atmosphere.
Beautiful traditional Moroccan decor, tasty food, excellent customer service. Hadeel our server, greeted us with a smile, made great menu recommendations, and was all around a fantastic host. We had the Marrakech Salad, Mango Martini, Lamb Tagine and Lamb, Chicken and Merguez Sausage Couscous (combo). Everything tasted great. Marrakech provides good value for the money and a cozy ambiance. I highly recommend.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. Food took a long time and was just ok.
Moroccan food is my favorite, and i was introduced to it by the original Marrakech in Las Vegas. Seems to be the same menu, but like they're reheating things previously prepared, and this on an early (6 pm) Saturday evening. Reheating the chicken bastilla resulted in burning the filo dough, and the lamb shank, while well cooked, didn't have a very in - depth or complicated prunes and nuts melange with it. The tapenade served with bread at the table was awesome, but child habe comne from a great jar. I finished every but of it. I may try the cous cous next, and go when the belching is happening later. Its a cute neighborhood and i found street parking around the corner. They also told me the hotel next door (Palermo?) usually allows parking space to be rented for non hotel guests. Probably a great place for dates or foodies to meet and share new plates. Moroccan food is awesome.
The food was excellent but almost paled in comparison to the amazing staff!
Unattentative and rude service. Food took a long time to come out cold and not freshly prepared.
Good portions for family style dining. Great atmosphere. Belly dancer was beautiful & even taught my daughter some moves.
We thought we were going to the old Marrakech we loved off New York Avenue and instead found a new favorite. At first concerned we loved the place, the waiter Kahleed, the atmosphere and the authenticity of the food. It was the best place to be for my birthday and Kahleed made sure we knew it!!! We plan on going back every year and in between. Thank you Marrakech!
The place is clean . The employees are nice and outgoing. This place is NOT the old Marakesh on New York Ave. The food is not as good. I don't think we would get together, there any time soon, unless they overhaul, the food quality and taste.
Upon arrival, our table was set and ready. The menus were dirty and used looking in appearance with stains on it. We ordered drinks and most of what we wanted they didn't have, so we were limited to choices. Appetizers weren't the best. Couscous was mushy and not very tasteful, meat was reheated on the lamb, instead of salmon as listed on menu, I was given mahi mahi instead. Martini drinks were served in regular glass and found out my drink had pineapple liquer ( which I am allergic too) and this ingredient wasn't listed on the menu for the mango martini I ordered. The server asked to make another drink for me, several times I said no and he wouldn't relent. Instead, brought me another drink which was purely filled with alcohol. We asked what time does the belly dancer perform, was told not sure, probably wouldn't be that evening (website said otherwise) one of the main reasons for going to this restaurant. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary.
Good food terrible service
The waiters were nice but slow and forgetful
Excellent and REAL Moroccan food, well presented, delivered with a smile and good conversation.
This was a fantastic meal, great service, great ambiance. I would definitely come back again and again. We felt like family at this restaurant.
Our host could not have been more fun. He engaged with us, explained all aspects of the meal and fielded our cultural questions. Wonderful experience
We had a group of 7 people for a special occasion. The restaurant was dirty. The ladies room was disgusting, dirty, and no paper towels or toilet paper. Looked like they had not cleaned up for quite a while. Food was okay, soup was room temp, not hot, and overall very pricy. Would not come back.
I booked reservations for my nephews 21st birthday, it was a group of 17 people. The service was absolutely HORRIBLE! After waiting for over 20min the waiter had still not come by the table to take even our drink order. I had to get up to look for him and bring back menus myself. Each time we needed something, more water, bread another drink order, we had to go look for him. The restaurant wasn't even busy, even-though it was a Saturday night (that should have been a hint). The food itself was not great either. My husband and I had tried this restaurant many years ago when they were at a different location and back then the place was excellent, the food and service was great. Not sure if it has changed owners, or why this place is now this bad. Would not recommend this place at all it really is not worth it, its just a sad, poor experience.
The service and the food was very disappointing. Sloppy plating, poor food prep... seafood tasted old or reheated.
The Paella was a mess dumped in a bowl. The fish was overcooked and had ano off taste, as did the mussels. Horrible.
The chicken tagine was way overcooked and unappetizing. I will never return and will never recommend this place to anyone!
Honestly, one of the worst meals I have ever had!
Service was extremely slow! Food was lukewarm and lacked salt. Belly dancer performance was not even 5 minutes long. This was a special occasion for my husband's birthday and because the service was slow we could not stay for desert which was part of the set menu.
The food and atmosphere were lovely. The service was super friendly and charming.
This was a great find! The food was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable.
Empty on a Friday night. I'm not surprised. No amount of niceness can account for Luke warm food that taste like box food. We were looking forward to the tea and he belly dancer. No dancer and the tea came out almost room temp and overly sweetened. Terrible experience. Sorry but don't do it.
Had Valentine's Day dinner and it was good. Set menu and very basic food. Lamb was outstanding, chicken was dry, and all else was good. Half a glass of champagne at end was a little odd, but all was good. Belly dancer was a nice touch and good entertainment. Good night out.
We had a reservation for 4:45 but when we got there at 5 they had were still starting to get ready. We ended up doing their Valentines Day preset meal. After the second dish we were full so we would take a bite or two from the remaining dishes. I asked them to start wrapping up the leftover food that we didn't eat but they placed only two dishes in the take home container out of the 11 dishes we collectively got from their preset menu.
The service was incredible slow and we were left for long period with out food or a drink. we were suppose to get dessert and tea with the preset meal and told them we didn't want dessert but would take the tea. After waiting another 45 min we told them we just wanted the check and not even the tea. We were there over three hours and that was without getting the last course. Which is crazy since we were also the only couple in the restaurant for about half of the time we were there and the restaurant never filled up so the waitstaff couldn't have been that busy.
Understaffed -- the wait for our starters was over an hour after we placed the order. The mint tea requested never came. A couple next to us left before their food arrived due to how inferior the service and timeliness of the meal was. I had looked on open table and the restaurant had almost 4 starts, I was very disappointed with the experience.
