Overlook the location and plain decor and enjoy fabulous food. Each of the 4 in our party loved the dishes and look forward to visiting again soon. Thanks to Jonathan Gold for a hidden gem.
Excellent Authentic Lebanese food. We have now gone several times and have enjoyed each time the menu is very diverse and very good.
Beyond high expectations!
We enjoyed every dish immensely. The owner greeted us warmly and thanked us when we left.
I might have come with higher expectations given the ratings/reviews i have read so my review might be a little short. I am used to Lebanese restaurants i have tried elsewhere and even if i could feel the taste of it, it was not as good as some others. Food aside, the venue is very nice and the service was great.
Excellent food and service. Best Lebanese food we have had in a very long time!
Hummus and falafel were excellent.
Went on recommendations from reviews. Bit far from our hotel, but worth the trip. Food was good and the service was excellent.
Great food, very friendly service, nice casual atmosphere. We travel from the Westside periodically to go to dinner at Marouch. We have never been disappointed.
Bob our server was amazing and the food was out of this world. Mrouch is worth the drive from the valley!
Everything we had was delicious and the service was friendly and professional. In addition to the food being terrific, it is a joyful place. Everyone in the room seemed to be happy and having a good time. Marouch has the best hummus, falafel and tabbouleh in town in my opinion.
My favorite middle eastern restaurant in LA! I have been going there for year and always have a great meal!
I have eaten at this restaurant a number of times, and will definitely eat there again. I've been there when it was quiet, and been there when it was crowded and loud. It's just a really nice restaurant. Once I went there and found that nearly half the restaurant was converted into a long, long table, which was soon filled by a gigantic family celebrating the birthday of the head of the family. Eventually some young women in costumes came out and danced for him - there was music, and they all were having a really great time. So, you never know.
Favorite Middle Eastern restaurant. Always go here before going to theatre performances.
Met a client here for lunch. The food was excellent; I had tabouleh and falafel. We also enjoyed the fresh-squeezed lemonade and the jallab -- I hearily recommend both. The bakalva was nutty and flaky, without being overloaded with honey. Easy to get a table at lunchtime. This place is underappreciated for the quality of the food. Turned out to be a good place to meet for lunch.
There is nothing bad & everything good about our dinner at Marouch - a great time was had by all, the food was delicious, the staff so good & the price, even for our big group, was very nice. A true treat & we are so coming back
You feel like you are family the minute you walk in the door. The menu is authentic and they care that you are well taken care of and that you enjoy the food. A hidden gem.
Don't let the location turn you off, the food is delicious and it is perfect for large groups. Order a variety of dishes and share them so you get to taste everything, you won't want to miss out on any of it!
Don't be put off by the strip center exterior. Inside is a haven for some of the best food around and undoubtedly the most delicious hummus we'd, collectively, ever had. Stuffed grape leaves, shawarma, and more, even down to the complimentary pickled beets, everything has us craving to return.
Such good food & great service. Expensive but the portions are huge and well worth the purchase.
Have been here 4-5 times, and Marouch has consistently excellent food and warm, friendly service. Bob (the host/server with the dimples) is always so charming and professional. All dishes came out perfectly timed, and were absolutely delicious: my favorite meze are the baba ghanoush, the fattoush, and the lebanese sausage. It's typically a pretty low-key restaurant with an older, family-friendly crowd, and not always necessary to make reservations, which is nice. Our most recent visit was on a busier-than usual Saturday night so we were prepared for delays, but neither service nor quality slipped, at all. If the lot is full, parking in the area is still easy. We don't live in LA but we always go out of our way to dine at Marouch when we come to town: it's that satisfying!
Excellent food with great service. A great verity of Middle Eastern food
The food was fresh and tasted great. The service was OK. We had to wait for the waiter to take our order and to bring the bill when we finished.
Awesome local spot. The place is family run and very cool. The owner addressed all of our allergy issues and was super-welcoming without being intrusive. Definitely coming back again.
We have been here a number of times and it is always wonderful. Great food and really nice service as well
Great food, good wine, and a super fun time. Family style service -- the owner/waiter guided our choices, and the food just kept on coming out to the table. Authentic and delicious. Try to ignore the fact that the venue is in a gritty strip mall next to a 7-11. When you walk in the door, you're transported. Looking forward to going back! Great for a group.
An authentic Lebanese gem in a typical LA strip mall, Marouch has friendly service, terrific local dishes (hummus, kebabs) and a great chef. The daily fish special was perfectly prepared, flavorful and filling. Only weakness is probably the wine list -- somewhat limited. Overall, much recommended.
This place is amazing! The food is fantastic and the staff is wonderful. My wife and I loved our meal there and will definitely return!
The food at Marouch is fresh and tasty. The portions are large.
We ate here when we were going to a show at the Fountain Theater, a 3-minute drive away. The food was absolutely delicious - their baba ghanoush alone is worth a visit. We also loved an unusual and truly wonderful appetizer called mouhamara, with crushed walnuts and red pepper paste. Service was friendly and pretty quick, perfect for pre-theater. We are planning to come back here frequently and are so glad to have discovered it.
Family owned and yummy
The staff was nice. The food was authentic and great. I got the lamb yogurt kabab and it was so delicious.
Server Mario helped us get to a play on time, and was good natured. The food was tasty and well prepared.
Everything was delicious. Jonathan Gold was right. Can't believe it took us so long to eat here. We will definitely be back!
Marouch was wonderful! Great service, quiet place and excellent food. Came here with 7 people and we got the mezze plate for six (we were 3 vegetarians) and got the mixed grill, it was more than enough food, we took plenty home. Highly recommend Marouch!
best arabic food restaurant in LA. HIGHLY RECOMENDED.
The food, service and friendliness are great and have been so over many years
our favorite Lebanese restaurant in the city!
huge portions and fresh and delicious food
Excellent food. Everything is made from scratch and is delicious. Staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable and service is outstanding.
This place has the best food ever! I see why J. Gold gives it a 28 out of 30...Yum!
Don't be filled by its location at a strip mall adjacent to a 7-11. The food here is fantastic and the service is outstanding. I made reservations for a party of 7 on a Saturday night and our table was ready for us when we walked in. Our server Bob, attended to us at all times and made sure one of the members of our party with food allergies was taken care of.
Everything we ordered was delicious - the hummus, fattoush, and fatayer along with the main dishes were all amazing. Everyone loved their food.
