Marks’ vision for the menu is to create dishes with a hint of French influence, balanced with some Asian accents, along with good old American.
PLEASE NOTE: We accept online reservations for the main dining room only. If you would like to reserve a private dining room, please call. Patio tables are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Excellent as always. Service good food good. Great atmosphere
I wish I could remember the name of our waiter, he did a wonderful job and was very attentive. The food was delicious. My date had a salad and I had the Seared Salmon.
Went to Marks Bistro before my graduation with my family because we previously had a nice experience in the past. Unfortunately this time I was less than satisfied. I was annoyed that we were seated partly in the hallway and not really in the restaurant proper. For food, I ordered a Cesear salad for dinner which I thought was the most bland Cesear dressing I have had in a long time. On the flip side my girlfriend ordered the patio salad which she enjoyed. This restaurant has a nice ambiance in a good location so we were disappointed with our experience.
Mark’s is always a favorite!!
We come monthly to Mark's but likely won't be back - we have a business meeting, and ask for a secluded area. This time a huge party of screaming females was placed next to us, and we couldn't hear ourselves think, let alone talk. They should have been placed upstairs where a large, very - very noisy party should be. The management knows we have our meeting there every month and should have been more sensitive to our needs. We are very disappointed. I do not expect to hear anything from Marks with a solution, but wanted our experience to be reported back.
We love Marks Bistro for the ambience, food and wine. We brought friends for the first time and they loved it too!
Really good but the trout dish my husband and daughter’s companion had was too salty-the topping and crust.
First time - went for lunch - food was good. Prices were fair. Had a chicken shawerma soup and a salad with tuna that was very good. Others ordered the sliders, the salad with mango and strawberry - everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was good, value was good for what you received. Great atmosphere - we didn't sit outside, but the patio setup was very appealing. We'll be back.
LOVED our experience at Marks!! Wish we had a Marks in Lincoln!,
Surprised my wife with a birthday dinner in a new place. Normally, we stay out west due to parking issues and traffic. We found parking right away (we had a 5:15PM reservation), the dining room was quiet (though filled-up by 6PM), and the experience was all around excellent. By the way, the tots were fantastic.
Marks is classic, comfortable and consistent. The food is always fresh and tasty and the atmosphere is eclectic and comfortable. It's a little like knowing 6 families that mixed and matched their dining room furniture from the 50s. We have been many times, and we never hesitate to suggest it as a dining option.
The atmosphere is always warm and the outside deck is always inviting when the weather decides to play nice.
Ambiance was nice on the outdoor patio but seating was a bit tight. Service was very good. Was a little disappointed in the food. Food presentation was good but was a bit bland and underseasoned.
Always a joy to have dinner at Marks! The service is excellent, food is always exceptional and the atmosphere is really great.
We sat outside and it was fabulous. Food was delicious.
Awesome appetizers, wine, entrees, and bread pudding. We’ve have the same servers there for years and they make the restaurant all the better.
Great food, eclectic “foodie” menu all of which was outstanding. Very busy lunch time crowd (and they did accommodate an extra diner for me!) and service was a little slow but not enough to detract.definitely recommend!
Had great service and great food!! Wish they were open for a Mother's Day Brunch!! :-)
Arrived a little early, table was set and ready. Waiter was prompt to ask about a drink while waiting for others to arrive. Food was delicious, service great all evening.
We spent our 21st anniversary date at Mark's and it was wonderful! The roasted brussel sprouts were delicious, as was the three cheese ravioli and the Cuban sandwich. Dessert of creme brulee and bread pudding were the best.
Great atmosphere and food. Our server was exceptional, but the hostess wasn’t very welcoming. Overall wonderful
Delicious mac n cheese as always. Also very much enjoyed the wine recommended by excellent waitress (going to dental school) and cheese plate. Overall outstanding.
This was our first time to Marks Bistro. It was a wonderful place, with a lovely patio, that felt very private. The food and service were great - I would highly recommend!
Why did points not apply to this reservation? We always enjoy our monthly business lunch meeting at Mark's Bistro. Always something new and delicious.
Great service great food! Will definitely make a return trip.
The food and service was awesome! Mark’s has one of the best outdoor seating patios in Omaha.
Mac and cheese was stellar, though the amount of lobster in it didn't seem to justify the big upcharge.
Chicken lasagna so-so (I'm not keen on a cream sauce on lasagna, but maybe that's just me). Brussel sprouts were disappointing - maybe the side dish is different from the appetizer, but they weren't as sweet as usual and there was no bacon. The tots were wonderful. Service excellent, ambiance excellent. I'll continue to go back, though will order different entrees
Mark’s Bistro is ALWAYS great! Our favorite special date place! Service is amazing!
Excellent food, brussel sprouts were incredible, salmon was delicious, gnocchi amazing. Great service and wine recommendation. Loved the ambiance.
A neighborhood favorite. Unique dishes all the way around! Never disappointed, always delicious!
Love the food and the wait staff were excellent and provided great suggestions for a wonderful meal.
Everything we had was excellent- the brussel sprouts, the tots, the meat & cheese plate, & the salad- all was just perfect. We had it with a Malbec that paired perfectly. Monday is half off bottles of wine up to $50, making it a very reasonable night out.
We drove in from the Elkhorn area with friends for a celebration dinner. We were seated immediately. We sat for 10 minutes without anyone approaching our table. On a Thursday night. We had to get up and ask any waiter we could find for waters. Our waitress was very busy. When she came with the waters she practically ran away from our table. I turned around in my chair and called out the name of the bottle of wine we would like to order because she didn't ask us if we wanted to order drinks. The wine never came. The wine never came. We sipped our water. 10 minutes later she came up and asked us to repeat the wine request. Again, she seemed very busy. Isn't there be a manager or front-of-the-house person who watches for that sort of problem and helps out? As the night went on, her attention and service was very good. It just left a bad first impression on our 2 guests who had never been to Marks before. And, honestly, it did the same for us.
This was my wife and I’s first visit to Marks and we will definitely be returning in the near future. Everything about this place, from the food to the aesthetics, is carefully curated.
Great evening with good food, drinks and friends. Four different meals, all great. Service was attentive but not pushy. We will be back. Nice to have gluten free options.
Marks bistro is always amazing. I love that there is an option for all kinds of eaters from vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and omnivorous.
Normally Marks is a 5 star experience... this particular night we were seated a little too close to a very loud talker so it kind of made talking between myself and my husband difficult.
Everything was delicious. Best risotto I’ve ever tasted. We had the fondue starter - amazing!! Could not let that go without licking the bowl clean (with bread)
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Omaha! The chef is creative - tried their Moroccan Carrot Soup, which was outstanding! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they know the menu well. The atmosphere is small and intimate, and works well for conversation.
Enjoyed my first experience at Mark's. Kinda pricey for main dinner entrees, but everything looked delicious. Ordered a Sirloin steak sandwich, and warm spinach salad. Was the best sandwich, close to a French Dip, and was so outstanding. Salad was as well. Presentation was superb. Sat in the middle of the restaurant and noise level was minimal...so conversation was great. (Monday nite).
Will definitely look fwd to going back.
Birthday celebration. Awesome service. Only one thing they forgot my request of a candle for my hubby’s dessert!
