Marks’ vision for the menu is to create dishes with a hint of French influence, balanced with some Asian accents, along with good old American.
PLEASE NOTE: We accept online reservations for the main dining room only. If you would like to reserve a private dining room, please call. Patio tables are on a first-come, first-served basis.
This was my wife and I’s first visit to Marks and we will definitely be returning in the near future. Everything about this place, from the food to the aesthetics, is carefully curated.
Great evening with good food, drinks and friends. Four different meals, all great. Service was attentive but not pushy. We will be back. Nice to have gluten free options.
Marks bistro is always amazing. I love that there is an option for all kinds of eaters from vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and omnivorous.
Normally Marks is a 5 star experience... this particular night we were seated a little too close to a very loud talker so it kind of made talking between myself and my husband difficult.
Everything was delicious. Best risotto I’ve ever tasted. We had the fondue starter - amazing!! Could not let that go without licking the bowl clean (with bread)
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Omaha! The chef is creative - tried their Moroccan Carrot Soup, which was outstanding! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they know the menu well. The atmosphere is small and intimate, and works well for conversation.
Enjoyed my first experience at Mark's. Kinda pricey for main dinner entrees, but everything looked delicious. Ordered a Sirloin steak sandwich, and warm spinach salad. Was the best sandwich, close to a French Dip, and was so outstanding. Salad was as well. Presentation was superb. Sat in the middle of the restaurant and noise level was minimal...so conversation was great. (Monday nite).
Will definitely look fwd to going back.
Birthday celebration. Awesome service. Only one thing they forgot my request of a candle for my hubby’s dessert!
Food - amazing. Service - great. The only concerns right now are parking and access. With the snow, it was difficult for some of our party to easily navigate their way. They made it ... but just difficulty. Less on Mark's and more on the city or hired services, probably. Still love it here.
Mark's is one of our favorite go-to restaurants. We enjoy the relaxed ambiance, the friendly staff, and the tasty dishes. The wine never disappoints either!
Have had nothing but a great experience every time we have been here. Especially the outdoor seating.
Great menu! Awesome service! My wife’s and mine favorite restaurant in Omaha. We love going to Mark’s, but it’s so good you need a reservation for Friday and Saturday nights.
We ate upstairs and the window overlooking Dundee was gorgeous. The cheese fondue was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect for a date.
Based on what I know about Mark’s, our Valentines Day dinner was disappointing. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks, both of our entrees were mediocre at best, and a loud table of drunken single women nearby didn’t help foster the intimate, romantic ambiance we had chosen Mark’s for. I know the restaurant is better than this, and perhaps it was just an “off” night, but with so many solid dining choices in Omaha these days, I am hesitant to come here again soon — especially for a special occasion.
On the other hand, the bread pudding was excellent.
Went to Marks for Valentines Day. Had an early seating. The food was great. Nice value on wines. The martini we had was perfect. Love the atmosphere.
Omaha has much better to offer than Marks, had not been there in a while, won't be rushing back. Food was average or the price offered. Sliders are a joke, salad was average, staff turns over alot.
My wife had the lobster and scallop risotto and I had the NY strip special. We each got desert - she had the chocolate mousse and I had the whiskey bread pudding. Our waiter even helped my wife pair a wine with her dinner. Food was awesome, service was great and overall an amazing experience. We will definitely be back again. Hopefully sooner than later.
Delicious as always. Perfect for a birthday celebration
Always love Mark’s!!!!
A cold day is a great day to have lunch by the window at Marks. Quiet and comfortable. Excellent food. Attentive service.
Wine, soup and flatbread were all very good. Our waiter Steve, was excellent!
Always great food and service at Marks. Especially love the patio when it’s warm enough 👍
Marks is always a terrific experience. The food was just right for a cold evening, and the service was warm and friendly.
There were a number of things that kind of ruined the event. The salad had too much sea salt to the point of crunching on chunks of it. The specials were presented without prices. The steak was too bloody and the waitress did not come back to check if it was ok even after a conversation about how well done it should be. And the steak had too much gristle to cut or eat. Loved the ambiance but probably will not eat here again.
Was really yummy. Service was good. Our server wasn't very talkative, but that's ok. We also didn't get notified of the specials that night, which would've been nice. (We heard them from table behind us) We both had the flat iron, and it was good, but not that flavorful. Brussels sprouts were great, tots were great! Had creme brulee for dessert, also very good. All in all it was a great experience, and I look forward to going back.
It was an ok meal. It jut seems that the quality of the food has gone down in the past few years while the price has gone up. It’s always been an “out spot” but am starting to think we need to find somewhere else.
We were a small group of 3 trying to have a conversation but had to compete with a family reunion. They looked like they were having a blast but would have been nicer for the rest of us if they had had a separate room. That being said, the food was delicious and I will try it again.
We visited Mark's in early January for our 32nd Anniversary. It was a wonderful night out. Our waiter, Tyler, was friendly, fun and very helpful. We each had a delicious craft cocktail from the menu - lots of creative choices there. We started with a Thai flatbread cooked perfectly with an excellent balance of sweet and spicy toppings. Then came a blended Moroccan soup made with squash and carrots - beautifully spiced (I thought about ordering a 2nd bowl). I had a mushroom risotto, while my wife had Thai Noodles for our main courses. We stole bites from each other's plates! The chef got both dishes exactly right, we couldn't have enjoyed them more. We also liked the music choices playing in the background - classic french jazz from Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, great stuff. For the high quality of service, food and delightful ambiance, we think Mark's Bistro is a consistent winner.
As vegetarians, but not wanting "ethnic" food or just pasta on a recent outing, we choose Mark's. They have at least a couple entree options, nice appetizers and sides, a warm, semiformal feel, and we know the food can be very good. And as it turned out, it was quite quiet Wednesday night. We were very satisfied.
Another great meal at Marks. Started with a unique soup of the day and ended with their Cuban sandwich. Service was outstanding!
We were here for a romantic date and loved the food and experience! Our waiter was friendly but not overly attentive. They may have been short staffed because the service was a little slow, but we still enjoyed our dinner very much! Can't wait to come back and sit in the patio when the weather is nice!
Met some friends there for A Saturday lunch, was very pleased. Started out with a great Bloody Mary, shared a small order of Mac and cheese, their signature dish and it was super, My husband had the bangers and mash and loved it. The sliders were tasty and the flatbread was delicious. We will be returning.
The atmosphere and service was great. The food was ok. Both of the dishes we had were standard but nothing to rave about. We were not very happy with the size of the drinks. If you are going to pay $9.00 plus a drink, I would expect it to be in a standard glass. The drinks were almost half the size of others places we have eaten at.
I have wanted to try this spot for quite some time. I was disappointed. The setting was great. A restaurant where you could hear the people you were sitting with, sparkly lights and a cozy atmosphere. It was busy but not overly so. There were empty tables. Our waitress was overly attentive and inattentive. Taking our orders and then seemingly forgot what was ordered. Soup was served cold and my husband received the wrong type. I was just about done with mine before his arrived. Our drinks were served after the soup. Main meal was barely warm. The waitress interrupted our conversation several times to “check” if all was well. Offering dessert before my partner had even completed his meal. While the flavors were good, and I understand things must be prepped ahead, why would you not heat it thoroughly?
Maybe it was a poor choice of night. We felt like we were rushed. Spending over $100 and in/out in just over an hour. Not the romantic and memorable meal we had hoped for.
New Years Eve dinner with God Daughter.
The appetizer was great. We got the Fondu.
I got surf and turf and my steak was supposed to medium and it was medium rare. My god daughter got the bowl of seafood. Her fish was very over cooked and bland she didn’t eat it . My husband got the risotto which we have had before. They were missing the lemon and some other flair because it was very bland. There were so many problems it wasn’t worth complaining about all 3 meals on our New Years Eve night. But chances are we won’t return. Even if we wanted to complain we saw very little of our waiter other than major food and drink deliveries.
Our family of 4 enjoyed Marks Bistro for the first time on New Year's Eve. It was fantastic! The food, staff and overall atmosphere was amazing. We will definitely be back!
Great evening!! Thank you for a fun dinner before an evening out.
Got there just as they were opening for happy hour which is a killer deal! 1/2 off bottles of wine with the max discount of $50.
Great time. Dined a little later and disappointed they were out of a few dishes.
Enjoyed a great meal with good service for my wife's birthday.
