MarkJoseph Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Simply WOW. Time after time after time - Mark Joseph is my go to steakhouse. The meat quality is always top notch - the servers KNOW what they are talking about when they explain the menu's fine points. They have all the usual steakhouse enjoyables - and are priced fairly and the portions are extremely generous. You do NOT leave here hungry and you do not leave here feeling like you missed something. Had a Tomahawk Rib-eye last night ! Totally love this spot - which is a gem in the neighborhood. Love where it is - love the cobblestone. Love how authentic it is. It's just so wonderful - please try it!
The food and service was outstanding, as usual. This is one of my two favorite steakhouses I’m Manhattan and I bring my close friends and best clients here. One of my luncheon companions commented that the MarkJoseph waitstaff is the most professional around the Financial District where we work.
Mark Joseph is a great option if you're looking for a steakhouse in Lower Manhattan and don't want to frequent one of the ubiquitous chain steakhouses. This place feels old school and manages to do steaks just right. I've hosted several large group meals at Mark Joseph in the last year and no one has been disappointed. They offer all the standard items you'd expect at a high end steakhouse including a comprehensive wine list. The prices are definitely better than some of those chain places I mentioned earlier (you're not paying for fancy wood paneling and the name brand).
Incredible! Great food! The best slice of bacon I've ever tasted. Great stake with bake potato. Plates are big, of you aré not a heavy eater it's better to order one and share.
They gave us a complementary house dessert. Amazing service by our waitress Diana. She was great.
I'll recommend this place to everyone
Since This is restaurant week , we would like to try out the steakhouse that we didn't hv it for a long time. Surprising me, the standard of those steak still remain outstanding .... Definitely One of the best steakhouse in that area
So good I went two nights in a row!
The second night I had theyummy baked clams and the bone-in sirloin. It was super! There was a couple of TV shows shooting nearby, so the place was a little noisier than usual, but not bad at all.
Great food and superior service mean you need to eat here!
Here for restaurant week. Started with the Canadian Bacon which was good and tasty. Filet was tender, season appropriately and didn't need any salt. Whipped potatoes and creamed spinach that came with it were good as well. Desert was small and perfect finish to the meal. Only reason i gave service 3 stars was our server had to come back and ask us what we ordered for our entree and then again asked after that what we ordered for dessert. Everything else was find and pleasant. I believe i like this place better than capital grill but not as good as delmonicos. Didn't try any alcohol as i was in detox mode.
Another top flight meal! This was Restaurant Week in NYC, so I was pleased that mark Jospehs participated. I had a bacon appetizer-1/2 inch thick bacon, cured so the pork shines through-an 8 oz filte done perfectly with mashed potatoes light as a cloud along with superior sauteed spinach, and some wonderful ice cream for desert. Ande great wine, finished with a super single malt Scotch. What more could you ask for?
Awesome dinner although it's the annual restaurant week menu, I would go to MarkJoseph for a 2nd or 3rd tries even if it's NOT restaurant week. The reason....Great steaks and I mean its not your typical steakhouse. Great for table for 2s and even family settings or small parties. It's tuck in a very cozy setting and area of NYC...South Street Seaport. Definitely a true neighborhood GEM. I would recommend this place to tourists and out of towners too
Absolutely amazing. 3rd time here and MarkJoseph's did not disappoint. Food was excellent, our waitress was outstanding and so kind (I believe her name was Kristin) . Their wine list is great as well. Although this restaurant is not cheap, it is worth every single penny and then some. Make sure you buy a bottle of their in-house-made steak sauce on the way out too. It's to die for. For reference we had the canadian bacon, oysters, Porterhouse for 2 cooked medium rare, with steamed asparagus and hash browns, followed by some espresso, and berries with homemade cream. To drink we had a bottle of Charles Krug '14.
