Love Joey but the mains aren’t as good as they used to be, either here or Little Owl. Went to both restaurants this week and ordered fish. They have changed how they do it. Covered is so foam that does not taste good. And my cod main at Market Table smelled really fishy and I couldn’t eat it. Prices of mains have also gone way up ($36 on average) and they add a Covid supplement on top
The food was good but overpriced for the portions. For brunch, I had the gulf shrimp tacos and my friend had the Tacos Mananeros. Both of our dishes arrived with two regular-sized tacos and no sides -- not even a little green salad or some home fries. Cocktails are excellent (especially the Bloody Mary) but also overpriced.
Our hostess and waiter were super nice and it's a great ambience. The food was very enjoyable, but not worth the price. For the two (2) of us to each get a (non-alcoholic) beverage, entree, and a dessert, it came out to $133 before tip. I loved my halibut, but certainly wouldn't pay $40 for it again... my first impression of the place is that they're charging fine dining prices without really being fine dining level/quality. They put a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of a few bite size brownie pieces and have you shell over $15 for it...
TLDR: Although it's fantastic when you don't take the pricing into account, I probably wouldn't suggest going to this place unless you don't care about getting your money's worth.
The table set up was Covid Safe so that was a plus. We enjoyed our food and they let us linger at the table which we appreciated! Will be back.
The food was good but service was not great. We had to ask for items a few times from a few different wait staff. Since there was only one other party in the restaurant it was a bit disappointing.
Great time overall. Great staff, good, drinks and company!
Second time dining indoors with friends and family. Great overall. Staff was wonderful! Only issue was my halibut which was a bit mushy rather than firm but it was tasty. And better my entree than any of my guests. Would highly recommend and would definitely return for eats again!
Our waiter Ben was so nice. Great experience!
The food is so delicious and the service is wonderful. Daniel was our server- he is warm, highly attentive and efficient. He made sure all of our needs were met.
We had the cod and the pork. Both just fabulous!. I am confident that anything on the menu is of equal mention.
We had a fun evening- the vibe is festive. It’s what dining in NYC should be.
Good food and service, good for friends/family/date
Always one of my favorite places. Chef Joey is fantastic and he continues to be a presence in the restaurant's kitchen.
Excellent food and service. Very patient with special dietary requests, and extremely thoughtful and unobtrusive Indoor distancing. Been to MT many times, and it’s always a quality experience, but first time since COVID and it felt like coming home.TY!
Food was delicious and service was excellent- would definitely return!
Absolutely love this place. Bright flavors and always too many appealing things on the menu. Always fantastic service too!
Yum!! I Can’t wait to go back again and try other things. Super delish
Always a wonderful pleasure to dine at Market. I wasn't sure about the menu change at first. But.....boy was I wrong. My friend Lee..wanted a burger. We had that last time. This time he had your famous chicken..always a winner.
We also had the Fava bean appetizer a d the fried calamari salad. I had the Pork medallions. I was ashamed of how clean our plates were. Lol.
Love love love Market.
Everything was great but the music was too loud.
Fun Sunday brunch but limited menu. Service was great.
Our server couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. The food and bloody Mary's were fab. Will be back!
Can't say enough about Market Table. From the food to the service, everything was excellent.
Had a great meal and time at Market Table NYC. Service was great, ate outdoors with plenty of room and heaters to stay warm. Staff was very polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Only negative was bit pricey. Bull for two adults and two kids, was more then a steak house would be. But the food was excellent and everyone cleaned their plates. Would 100% come back but leave the kids at home next time. They don’t need a $45 steak. Lol.
One of the best meals I’ve had in NYC! The steak and roast chicken were perfection. Fries with cocktail sauce - so good! The spring spritz drink was a refreshing and improved take on an Aperol Spritz. The service was impeccable and we were checked on by 4 different people who were incredibly friendly and good at their jobs!! Thank you Market Table!
On Wednesday, March 31, my husband and I made a reservation to have dinner at Market Table. We entered the restaurant and were greeted by the most delightful staff. We asked to be seated outside on the sidewalk. It is nicely arranged considering the pandemic circumstances and gives the impression that it’s appended to the restaurant and you are not in the middle of the sidewalk. It is also heated both at the feet and overhead. That is a nice touch. I ordered Roasted beets and my husband the calamari salad, for appetizer; we shared, and they were both wonderful. For entrée, we ordered pork cutlet and the Cod. In hindsight, I think the call should’ve had some crab on it, but I don’t recall seeing it. However, I am not complaining because the waiter gave me ample opportunity to share concerns with him. So, my recollection from home may be my fault. The entrée was equally excellent. The cod was fantastic with all the sauces and green beans. For the table, we also ordered this spinach polenta. I have never had the combination before, and the server told me they were trying it for their spring menu. It was wonderful. It can be served for all seasons. Overall, we had a great evening out and we will be back. You should try it too.
I messed up the reservation for the wrong night, but they kindly accommodated. Great food and service!
We always have a nice time when we go to market table. The food is beautiful. The service is attentive. It's a neighborhood gem!
Great dinner night with friends. We sat inside to avoid the humidity, but the outside dining looked nice as well. The spring
Service and ambiance were great. Food was ok, although not as amazing as I remembered- i ordered the Eggs Benedicte which came in wheat toasts instead of the amazing biscuits they use to have. But overall, good
The food was fabulous and the staff was fantastic. We were not rushed at all and the restaurant has a relaxing vibe. I didn’t notice the noise level so our night was perfect.
We dined in the very comfortable and well set up outdoor dining area. The service was exceptional, and the ambience, given the challenges with outdoor dining, was excellent. The new spring menu was a hit - the baked cod, cavetili and pork milanese were delicious and served timely and hot. We appreciated the bartender's bespoke cocktails as well. Overall, one of the best outdoor dining experiences we've had and we will definitely be back. It was great to see Market Table back at a close to full capacity!
A perfectly place to stop by after a day of exploring Greenwich Village. The outdoor dining allows you to eat on a charming downtown street.
The food was very good! Definitely recommend having a reservation.
Loved our birthday brunch at Market Table and our waiter Samuel M. was fabulous!
NYC is BAAACK!!
Service was not good.
So delicious! Looking forward to next time.......
Awesome time, great service! The food was delicious - ton to offer and variety of options. Service was excellent
Great place in the west village. We ate outside that had wonderful heaters, and while it was still a little windy, we managed to enjoy our meal. Jesus was our server and very tentative. He was super friendly and made sure we were good the whole time. I order the jumbo shrimp tacos and they were fantastic. The burrata was also fantastic. I definitely want to dine inside at some point as it look very cozy in there. Def worth a visit.
This was a birthday brunch for me. We had wonderful server, who was helpful and accommodated all dietary restrictions at the table. Nice outdoor ambiance and not too noisy.
Well done! Appreciate the outdoor experience. Very professional.
Amazing service, fresh food, and heaters over AND under the table outdoors--can't beat it!
The best staff, food & service
