A bit overpriced but the food was really good. I would recommend the small plates rather than the entrees.
We were quite disappointed with the food and service considering all the great reviews the restaurant has received. The food was pretty under seasoned and under salted. And our server just did not vibe with our group - she was not confident with giving recos, answering questions or even talking specials.
Amazing!! I celebrated my 22nd Birthday brunch at Market Table and it was perfect!
I love everything about Open Table. The space is light and airy. The staff is warm, outgoing and helpful. The service is efficient but they don’t try to hurry you out to free up the table. The menu is always interesting and the cocktails are fantastic.
Food was delicious. Service was mediocre at best. Server never refilled our glasses after first pour and never even thanked us on spute if 20% tip. But food was great.
Great food and service. Wait staff was so friendly and very welcoming. Food and specialty cocktails were exceptional.
Outstanding meal, cocktails, and excellent service in a low-key, comfortable atmosphere. Not flashy, just quality!
The pan roasted chicken was excellent! We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back again!
Great food and ambiance. Came here for my birthday with family visiting from abroad and it didn’t dissapoint. Fantastic bar and wine selection too.
Scrumptious is all that can be said.
The food perfectly spiced and attractively served by a most professional and accommodating wait staff. Market Table is a wonderful restaurant and it has been for many years. It keeps getting better.
limited luncheon options and the entree prices are dinner equivalent
Enjoyed our meal (whole branzino & hangar steak), and our server, Hayden, was fantastic.
Shared all the vegetables on the menu, it was so delicious.
Great food, fresh and imaginative. Lovely setting with huge picture windows in West Village.
Amazing experience. Delicious food. Expensive but worth it.
Market Table is always terrific. It is one of my favorite places in the city. The food is delicious and thoughtful but also simple which I really love. We had lamb and it was cooked perfectly. Service is excellent and the people who work there are engaging and interesting.
Amazing experience. I have been before, and it doesn't disappoint! The food is incredible, the space is so open and pretty, and the service is first rate. A super fun evening at a great restaurant.
Excellent meal. Beautiful ambiance. Great service. Been numerous times and will be back again.
Perfect Greenwich Village spot to grab dinner before a show. We had the cod stew -- a filet of cod floating in a creamy tomato broth. I didn't need the pear tart, but I loved every bite of it.
Such a great find! Excellent service, comfortable space, handled my AIP diet effortlessly. Food is delicious, whole/nonprocessed, beautiful. Large servings! Will be back!
Market Table is a great West Village spot for brunch. Large windows provide a seamless effect of being on the street but not. The food is always the standout - inventive but not precious, and covers a lot of territory without being distracted. The table service has always been friendly but not overly casual, and attentive.
On this most recent visit, however, we were asked to depart the table @ 5 minutes after paying the bill due to the busy time (Saturday at 1 PM). I can't remember when I was last asked to make way for another party. I get it, but it never makes you feel that welcome.
Great place to get delicious Farm to table food. I am picky with my meals and this didn't disappoint. I had the beet and cheese salad, the Salmon with cabbage and couldn't resist the Old Bay fries since I'm from Baltimore. Nice large windows and soft lighting was a nice combination. The service was excellent!
Looking forward to trying more things on the menu. My food was delicious. My colleague also loved the restaurant as it is vegan friendly.
My first visit - but definitely not my last - we were there early so noise level was fine —- the food and service were great - had the pork chop and chicken - both excellent —
Always reliable and delicious. Service is friendly and ambiance is full of light and warm.
The was a wonderful Valentines Day Dinner. Worth the cost with great food and terrific service.
The service was accommodating but not intrusive. The appetizers were well, adequate . The liver mousse was a little dry probably from time on the prep table. But the salmon and cod were spot on for a cold , wet night in the city. Therefore I will be back and hopefully acquire a seat on moments notice when in need of some solace.
Always a pleasure to dine here. I’ve been frequenting Market Table for almost 10 years and it is consistently amazing.
As first timers there’s nothing better than honest, friendly, knowledgeable staff who want you to love their restaurant as much as they do. Fabulous meal guided well by our waitress. Everything was as delicious as she said it would be, chicken included.
Fantastic service and food. Everything here is top notch and the atmosphere is relatively low key. You get what you pay for however: 2 entrees, an appetizer and two coffees came to over 100 with tip. Well worth it for a night out though - and it's easy to pay this much and have a mediocre experience elsewhere. Definitely recommend it.
amazing, fresh, creative food. Noise level on a Friday night at a 6 pm reservation started out fine but got almost unbearable by 7:30. The service was great to start but hard to get waitresses attention, but the server was willing to exchange anything we didn't like. that said, the food was incredible. I had the butternut squash soup and the raw scallop appetizer, my friend had a salad and the Bell and Evans Chicken.
The only reason it wasn’t outstanding was that we ordered the special which was veal wrapped in bacon and both of us found it to be fatty and chewy. Everything else we ordered was outstanding
My friend and I loved our evening at Market Table. We loved it because it is beautiful and the food is exquisite simple food prepared with such a variety of interesting and intriguing ingredients that the food becomes brand new. The person who helped us decide what to eat and served us was wonderful. My friend and I wanted to share everything and asked that it be plated that way and it was.
I can't tell you about the noise level because we went at a time (SuperBowl night) when the restaurant was not very full.
I would also prefer some more interesting desserts, but tat is a mere suggestion. I cannot wait to go back and try other dishes.
Busy small space but welcoming and well-organized with eclectic menu
Fantastic food and service, perfect for a celebratory dinner. We will definitely come back!
Three adults and two toddlers- all enjoyed the experience
We had a very nice birthday weekend brunch at Market Table. We were early, so we walked just 5 minutes to 75 Bedford Street (technically 75 1/2) to see the infamous 9' wide house and former home of Edna St. Vincent Millay and others famous people. A good way to kill 10-15 minutes if early. We arrived as the door opened, for our 10 am reservation. Our servers were all friendly and the food we delicious. They were very sweet, and brought us three scoops of ice cream with three candles, as well as a fruit plate. The setting in Greenwich Village is lovely; after brunch we walked from brunch along Bleecher Street, up to Washington Square Park and to the Grey Gallery at NYU (10-15 minute walk?). A lovely morning! Highly recommend Market Table!
Excellent, friendly staff. Great wines. Food expertly prepared. Bit noisy, but very nice space.
Waitress was very personable
