About Market Table
Chef Mike Price and partner, Joey Campanaro, opened Market Table in the fall of 2007. Located at the corner of Carmine and Bedford Streets in the West Village, the restaurant boasts an airy dining room with exposed brick walls and large windows offering a view onto village life. The menu at Market Table is seasonal American, influenced by Mike's childhood on the family farm in Maryland coupled with years working beside great chefs. He offers nightly specials that reflect his love of creating simple dishes with big flavors.

Market Table Ratings and Reviews
There are two comments...one is that the restaurant was empty and they sat another party right next to us which was annoying. The other comment is that the prices are extremely high for what you get and I don't honestly think it's worth it. There are several restaurants in the west village which are better values.
Very cool place at the corner of a typical village intersection w/ beautiful young people walking by outside every few seconds. We sat at the corner window table and spent the evening w/ tasty cocktails, apps, dinner, dessert. This is NYC so I've definitely had better food elsewhere and paid much more for it. The main room is beautifully decorated w/ large street side windows you don't find anywhere else in the village.
First time in this restaurant.
We were RUSHED by the staff since the beginning.
The server kept coming to my table every 10 mins.
Food was not fresh, home fries were cold, food is not worth the price.
The location is nice, decor is also beautiful.
We just felt RUSHED during our brunch, when the place was not full.
Nothing special. Would not come back.
I have really enjoyed this restaurant in the past and have always recommended it to friends. However, the service was so awful during my most recent visit that it ruined the entire meal for my friends and me. The food was pretty good, but it wasn't good enough to make up for how terribly rude our server was. I was really disappointed and won't be going back and will stop recommending to friends and colleagues who regularly entertain groups for lunch and dinners in the area.
One of the most underrated combinations of awesome service, great food (farm to table style) and bartending smarts... we had yet another great time last night thanks to Emma, Juan and Andrew, with heartfelt compliments to the Chef! SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!!

Unfortunately, not a good experience. The restaurant is very very loud. Main course for me was Pan Crisped Bell & Evans Chicken. It was extremely dry and tough. I never send food back, ever, but this was like biting into a big, dry, stringy, tasteless piece of overcooked meat. I asked if they could replace and they were kind enough to do so. I ordered the salmon special as they indicated it could be made quickly. The salmon smelled like burnt spoiled fish. It was an overpowering stench. Both my girlfriend and myself had a bite and both of us had that instant reaction of "what the hell did we just put in our mouth". We spit it out.
That was enough, We asked for the check and left.
$120 for that meal.
My second time back and I'll definitely come again! Bear and Shea were particularly lovely hosts, providing attentive and welcoming service throughout our delicious meal. Highly recommend all the fish dishes (we had all three), the corn, watermelon + beet salad, and so much more....Thanks again to Market for a great meal and atmosphere.
