Bottomline: If the food had not been as fresh, temperature accurate and tasty as it was, I absolutely would have given this two thumbs down based on the poor interior decor and mismatched blend of music given as a sound track. Not sure I would go back. More detailed review: The interior of this restaurant is unpleasant and dated. Totally uninspiring and leaves one wondering who was in charge and what were they thinking. Truly detracted from the experience. The patio area looked nice with a gas fire and plenty of seating. The interior bar area did not look at as unattractive as the rest of the interior dining space. But the carpet, the giant lamps and vases, and industrial ceiling and crushing light fixtures, the color scheme, booth cushions, everything = hideous. Also, the music playing throughout was disjointed and non thematic. Songs did not paint a mood or set a tone, but seemed randomly selected and in no way related to anything at all. Truly the place gave off an unplanned and awkward vibe. Drinks were good, interesting, and zippy but overpriced. For example lemon ginger martini was delicious and different but at $11 should have been better chilled, and better presented with a tad more in the glass. The clam chowder, everything but sink and blt wedge salads were all delicious and decently proportioned with only slight overpricing. Entree 1 was chicken & sausage pasta and was interesting blend of tastes and generous portion. Entree 2 was mac & cheese with lobster add in. Small portion of pasta, delicious blend of cheeses, good sized chunks of lobster claw, but overpriced for the size served. Oh, and our server forgot our bread.
