Market Bistro Ratings and Reviews
It was one of the best restaurants we ate at in a long time! We eat organic, seasonal and local in our hometown in Lake Pleasant, central Adirondacks and were so pleasantly surprised with the selections. We celebrated our brother's birthday there and our relatives from Nassau and Queens counties felt the same. The Maitre d and our server, Dan, were so friendly and accommodating. Loved it!! We will be back again and raved about to our families. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
We tend to like an early dinner on a Friday because we can catch up and enjoy a leisurely pace. Market Bistro did not disappoint. My husband LOVES the beer selection and I love a great Manhattan. The Prix Fixe is a good value. Highly recommend. We will be returning.
Valentines dinner, the good
No special high priced menu
Service ok, very good at beginning, than disappeared and we ordered appetizers with another waitress
Asked a specific question about the lamb chops and gave me false answer
4 single lamb chops for $36.00, when sister restaurant west end serves whole rack 8 chops for less, I understand different quality, but not that much different to warrant the price.
Will I go back, yes, just pick different items.
everything was great but what really stood out was the service. My boyfriend didnt like what he ordered and they were so accommodating! They insisted on bringing him a different dish and even customized it to fit his dietary needs. (substituted the pork for grilled shrimp). Then the manager even came over to check on him to make sure he liked it. It was a Saturday night and they were super busy so I was very impressed.
Our waitress was outstanding. When she open a bottle of wine and the cork, filled with sediment , was all over her hands, she immediately called over the manager and asked what was going on. Need.less to say, the wine had turned and we got a new bottled. Later on we shared our favorite movies up for Oscars and the rest was a delightful evening! I love this restaurant.
The food was great. Burger had to be sent back. Asked for well done and got Moo-ing. Other than that it was a great time had by all. Great atmosphere. Great dinks, Great food . Waitress was perfect., Even came over to repour wine from our bottle when out.... Friendly staff, from Host, to Bartender, to server...
Delicious meal and service. We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and the portions were huge. Other restaurants serve tiny portions.
The kale and Caesar salad I thoroughly enjoyed.
The seared tuna and soba noodles was delicious, as well as the warm brownie topped with a delectable ice cream. I am looking forward to returning to this fabulous restaurant.
The food, service and restaurant are great, but the noise level does not allow conversation at the table. I did ask for a quiet table and they tried to comply, but there is no quiet table at this restaurant. My friends were frustrated because no conversation was possible with the level of noise early on a Thursday evening.
A friend and I recently dined at Market Bistro for a mid-week lunch. Although the restaurant was empty when we arrived at noon opening, it quickly started to fill up (reservations recommended). We were comfortable at our table, but the floor did look a bit crowded. Nice menu selection for lunch - full range from soups to sandwiches to more hardy fare. Prices are mid-range (lunch entree, beverage, cappuccino and split dessert ran $30/person). Food was very good and special requests to leave off certain ingredients were accommodated. I had the Banh Mi and friend had shrimp taco - both were very good and focus is on locally sourced suppliers. Our waitress was very professional - friendly without being intrusive. I would recommend this restaurant.
My family and I were going to the movies and asked for a recommendation for dining from a restaurant group I belong to on-line. Several people recommended Market Bistro so we tried it and was extremely glad we did. I posted picture of my meal on the restaurant group and several others went there just to try the entre I had.. and they loved it to. One of my new favs!!
Have never had a disappointing moment at this fine restaurant....
until being charged 11 dollars for a cappuccino with a smidge of baileys in it. I don't ever skimp on good food and spirits and am used to paying between 12 and 17 dollars for a glass of wine or a martini, but never a flavored coffee. Had I actually been served a baileys straight up, I could have understood. Nevertheless, next time I will be more cautious when ordering drinks!
Food and wine were amazing! I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly and not an ounce of fish taste as salmon can oftentimes have. My friend had the shrimp with mushroom risotto. Also excellent! Did I forget to mention that we started with the beet salad (large enough to share and then some). It was to die for! I could have had that and the delicious breadbasket and my wine and been perfectly content. Would highly recommend and will be going back again soon!
