About Market 17

Market 17 is proud to be serving delicious, creative dishes that are literally from the farm right to the tables of our diners. We call this "wine country cuisine" because the emphasis is on fresh, clean food from top purveyors along with an abundant wine list.

For the more adventurous diner, Market 17 offers 'dining in the dark'. It is our chefs table in a private room that allows a new way to experience food. Once your sight is turned off, all the other senses are heightened. It's a fun and unique experience to enjoy our food. (Due to very limited seating, reservations for dining in the dark can only be made by phone)

Our menu will change daily and we'll always offer amazing tasting menus for you to sample what the chef has created. Come and experience for yourself what all the buzz is about!

Market 17 is the perfect spot for a celebratory dinner. The ambiance is very chic and the menu exquisite. I had the cobia and okra for my side and both dishes were so flavorful. Definitely recommend for a date night or a GNO.

It was Valentines Day and I want a new place to have dinner. The food was delicious and the service was very good. I was disappointed with the Vanilla Pound Cake dessert. We will be returning.

Always wonderful! Creative, delicious menu. Great ambience. We celebrated Valentine’s Day there and it couldn’t have been better. So sad that they are being forced to close in two weeks! (I believe the city is expanding Port Everglades). My whole family is really hoping they will reopen somewhere else. It will be sorely missed!

I have been dining at Market 17 at least once a year since I discovered some years ago. Once a year because we do the chef tasting with wine pairings which is quite costly. I have never felt disappointed after doing this. Well when I heard Market 17 was closing for good I insisted we go one last time. Well we did and I have never felt more dissatisfied after leaving dinner. 4 of the 6 dishes were over salted and the dessert was so plain. A half cookie and 2 very little pieces of cake with a dollop if ice cream look like a child put it together. It was definitely not worth the price in which we paid. For a few courses the wine arrived sometime after the food and one wine had so much sediment in it that I could’ve made a self portrait with it in my glass. Just seemed like they didn’t care about serving good food/ wine up until the very end. Felt like they just gave up.

The combination of farm to table ingredients is always a plus. There is a variety of menu items and the descriptions sound amazing but still leave you thinking it could be just a bit better. I will still go back and hope for consistency to my first time!!

We were two well travelled couples and we all agreed that this was the best restaurant meal we had ever had. I can't believe it is closing down on February 25th.

Our fourth visit to M17, and as always the food was excellent. On our previous visits, the waiters have also been excellent, providing the right amount of attention, taking care and providing first class service. On this occasion, our waiter couldn't be more contradictory to our previous experience. It was unrelaxing and the kind of fast-paced service you'd expect in an average diner. Our cutlery when laid, 3 times over a 3-course meal, was literally thrown in a hurried way across our table, our wine glasses were placed down in a hurry and left toppling as he speedily moved on. No patience, no etiquette and seemed to be in the hell of a hurry to be moving us on our way. Oddly, our drinks took a long time to be served and then when he presented us with the bill he told us there was no hurry and to take our time.....if only he'd done that with us. If we went back and he was our waiter I would ask for another one or another table!

Our way to Daniel was excellent. Space a restaurant itself is going out of business and closing shortly we wish we knew that before we book it. The food was extremely expensive for the quality and value the noise was OK I would not go back there again and I hope some very good restaurant in the area has Daniel backspace back

I enjoyed the restaurant, although it sounds like they may be closing. The food was excellent with a fresh and unique salad, a charcuterie plate, and beef tartar. The service was very satisfactory. I will return next time I am in Fort Lauderdale if they continue to stay open.

We had a very enjoyable dinner in the main dining room. The food was outstanding, service was excellent, and the noise level was at a good balance between bringing energy and being able to have a quiet conversation.

We got together with friends at Market 17 during a society meeting in Ft. Lauderdale. The food was very good but I would not say exceptional. My steak was great but the vegetables were not cooked through. The tuna that my husband and friend had was also very good and the scallops that the rest had was also very good. I would recommend going there and would go there again when I'm in Ft. Lauderdale.

What a disappointment. The service was horrific... Slow and disorganized. The food was camouflaged with rich overpowering sauces or tasteless like the beet salad. YUKKY! We dine at upscale restaurants all of the time. Never mind spending a lot for good food. These prices for terrible food were obscene. NEVER AGAIN!

Market 17 never fails to impress. My son had the bison which was superb and my husband and I both had the swordfish which was local and perfectly prepared. Mango sorbet was delicious. One of our favorite spots in Ft. Lauderdale.

The reviews for this restaurant across all platforms are excellent. I agree with them except for one issue. I dined with my girlfriend, her uncle, who is a heart surgeon, and his girlfriend. Everyone enjoyed the food and service. For the entrees, the menu lists two prices: a small and large plate. The server suggested pairing two small plates, which I did. I ordered the tuna, which was outstanding and the filet mignon. I ordered the filet medium. It did arrived closer to rare. When I order steak, I usually order filet or any other cut that has very little fat. The first bite I took tasted either undercooked or like it was mostly fat. I discreetly spit it into my napkin. When I mentioned this to the server, his response was that he put the order in as medium. Well, then the kitchen messed up. They did cook the rest of the filet to my satisfaction, but at those prices, I lost $5.00 worth of meat. Other than the filet initially being undercooked and the server's somewhat tepid response, we had a wonderful time. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were fantastic. Also, my reservation was for 9:15. I called the restaurant and was told that if a cancellation occurred, they would call me. There was and they did. I would definitely return.

We were seated for our reservation without delay. The service was good. They were out of the wine we wanted and substituted it with a similar one. They were also out of some food dishes that we wanted; which was surprising because we had an early reservation. The food was very good.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. The antelope was cooked perfectly and reminded me of duck. You could taste every spice and they blended together beautifully. My beet salad with hibiscus foam and sugared pecans was extraordinary. Topped off with a pleasing créme brûlée and delicious lemon thyme cookie. Our server was very informative about the menu. She was attentive and professional. This was a memorable and exquisite dining experience experience.

Produce is sourced locally as is much of the protein - very fresh and great tasting. Easily accommodated some food allergies of one of our party. Really good service from Rick. Definite recommendation.
