Marker 92 Waterfront Bar & Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Poor, slow service! Restaurant was max 25% capacity and we waiting 45 minutes for food. To top it off, the food was cold. We have had dinner there, which was also poor, but we thought breakfast would be different. This place is ONLY good for ambience, apps and drinks.
This was our first visit....nice choice between indoor upscale dining and open air marina (same menu). Service was impeccable (only one error on salad)...band was a little loud for much conversation, but nice group. Eclectic choices on menu, surprised how good the ribs were!
We met my Aunt & Uncle here for breakfast. The menu is creative, fun and tantalizing! Some unusual selections that sound delicious. I had the turkey, egg, avocado wrap and was very happy! Everyone enjoyed their food! It was quiet and the outside area had beautiful water views. Linda was our server and she was terrific! We hope to return soon!
I would rate everything as fair to good. Service was disjointed with odd delays between drinks and ordering. Once the order was placed, the food came out exceedingly quick. Very good Napa cab at a good price. Shrimp fettuccine was advertised as 6 jumbo shrimp; for a waterfront restaurant in Florida they clearly had an unusual definition of jumbo. Not a bad meal, just not what I hoped for.
While visiting Sanibel Island we made a random choice to visit this restaurant (40 miles round trip) based on the menu from Open Table which is outdated. Whoever, the waitress made a few suggestions from the current menu which were very good and still worth the drive. Kudos to the chef and to her for being so kind and helpful.
The place is great. The food is anazing an the service is good. We were celebrating my birthday and we were ordering beer. For the second round they bring the beer in plastic cups which is not acceptable for that kind of restaurant. The reason why I am giving 4 stars is not the plastic cups, it's about the tip, we were charge 20% tip, which seems high for me, I am good with 12%. And just to mention we were 5 people. Thanks!
Seated on time. Wait staff very friendly, attentive, and prompt.
Offered a menu that included a bottle of wine.
The salmon from this menu was exceptional as was my dates short rib selection.
Vegetables cooked to perfection as was the rice and grits that accompanied our entrees.
The staff were truly wonderful , would highly recommend!
We had a delicious meal and the staff was friendly, we are SPG members so we knew the wonderful reputation of any Starwood property!! Anne Marie at the concierge desk was so helpful and she is a real asset to your organization,we are extremely happy that you merged with Marriott for even more choices.
The goat cheese and roasted tomato dip was delightful and more than enough for the three of us - but we finished it off! We all enjoyed our entrees. Our server was exceptionally helpful and obliging. I don't know why we hadn't been there in a while, but we'll be back soon.
This is one of the best restaurants in Cape Coral. It has great food, not real cheap but not too expensive, and the ambiance and the scenery are unmatched. The service is first-rate. When we went there was loud music, but we managed to escape around a corner. If we had chosen to sit inside, there would have been no noise problem. Shorts are okay to wear here, but this is a classy place, and even a suit would not be out of place. From the waterside, if one wishes, you can catch a sunset cruise that is HIGHLY recommended. Great place!
We were celebrating my wife's birthday and had a great time. The shrimp starter was wonderful and highly recommend both the chicken jerk (with additional scallops) and the brisket and ribs special. Our server Deborah was very attentive and on learning it was my wife's birthday treated us to a slice of key lime pie to take away. We had a drink out at the outdoor bar before going into the restaurant but that experience wasn't so pleasant - service was slow and had to repeat our drinks order to the girl, but it was busy at 6:30pm. We will return to dine!
Went for Easter lunch by boat. The Easter Buffet was extremely expense for what you got $65 per person. We ate off the regular menu which was great food. We have eaten their before and not have been disappointed with our meals. We had Linda waiting on us and she was fantastic we always ask for her when we dine their. The restaurant is part of the Westin hotel and a little on the priciy side but not your typical hotel food. Great place to go by boat excellent docking facility.
We went for brunch on Easter Sunday because we were staying at the hotel. I was hoping to sit outside but that wasn't an option. The brunch spread was nice, but nothing to write home about. We ordered mimosas that were not drinkable. I don't know if the champagne or the OJ was bad (or both). I really wouldn't have even wrote this review except that we were shocked that the brunch was $65/pp! I realize it was a holiday, but none of the food warranted a price like this. There was no shrimp or crab claws, the only breakfast items were the omelette station and some french toast bake (which was the best thing out there). My husband got some ham and asked what the sauce was that was being presented with it and no one seemed to be able to answer the question. There was a keyboard player which was a nice touch and our server was very attentive. I would probably eat dinner there again if we were staying at hotel, but I'll be skipping the brunch.
Food was good. Haven't been there in a while but was surprised by a few things.
1) No female waitresses, 2) Loud loud band, 3) One waiter had his shirt hanging out and looked extremely sloppy, 4) all male help.
Our waiter was very good and we tipped him appropriately.
What turned us off was that from where we sat, we couldn't hear each other's conversations. We had gone there for the food and to have a quiet dinner evening. Every time the door opened to the inside, (and it was opened a 100 times) we were blown away with the loud band. We won't go there again with this. We were with relatives and we couldn't even hear each other speak. We liked the atmosphere, the food and the service, but not how loud the music was. Sorry we probably won't come back just for this reason alone. If we had been served by this sloppy looking waiter, we would have walked out. Wait staff needs discipline about their looks.
Took an out-of-town guest here because of past good meals and the fine view of waters off Cape Coral. The food was good, but not great, and service was a bit slow due to the season and our server training a newbie, which also slowed the process. We had grilled swordfish, which was tasty, if overdone, ribs that were very good, and shrimp & grits, also very good. The wine list is fair, but should be better, given the restaurant's location inside the Westin Resort. Overall, worth trying, but I might suggest lunch as the better option, both for food quality and price.
We enjoyed our night at Mile Marker 92 to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary while vacationing down in Cape Coral. It felt special and my husband and I really enjoyed our meal, wine and dessert drinks. After dinner we sat outside and enjoyed the firepit, made new friends there and drank ice cream drinks.
The daily special was wonderful. We enjoyed the blackened grouper with mango salsa served with rice and broccoli rabe. We ordered a salad to start which never arrived and we were over charged for our bottle of wine, by $11. We pointed out these facts to our server and adjustments were made to our bill. It was a very busy evening at the restaurant. We sat outside, as we are from Minnesota and wanted to enjoy the warmth but, the music was very loud and the music selection reminded us of a wedding reception. The main course was delish but, not sure it was worth the price ($34), our server corrected the issue with wine price and took off the salad. If we go back, it will be just for drinks and maybe an appetizer at the bar.
The 4 of us arrived at 7:15pm and stood at the hostess stand for a few minutes waiting for someone to great us. Restaurant wasn't very busy, employees were walking past and talking to each other while looking at us but no one came over (like they were surprised to see someone waiting...) We requested a table outside even though it was windy since it was out last night in town. We were seated and given food menus and told our waiter would be with us in a moment. After about 5 minutes, our waiter greeted us and asked what we would like to drink, we requested to see a drink menu, which he apologized that we weren't given in the first place and quickly left to grab us one. Around 5 minutes later the drink menu arrives. Another 5 or so before he came back to get our orders (7:35pm by this point...) We put in an order for 3 bar drinks (simple ones ie. gin/tonic) and one coffee. Drinks came out, coffee was cold, one drink order was wrong. Coffee was taken back in a nuked for a few minutes to warm it up. We decided at that point, around 7:45, when the waiter came out to get our food order that we were just going to have that one round of drinks and find somewhere else for dinner. Got the check, waiter never came back out to collect, my husband and father in law went in to settle. It was almost as if we were an inconvenience for dining outside. I was honestly surprised for a Hilton Property that the service was so sub-par. Too many restaurants to choose from down there, won't be back.
