My wife and I try to come for a nostalgic dinner once a year because we got married at Maritime Parc. The food never disappoints and the service, wine, and cocktails are always excellent. The ambiance is usually never a problem but for some reason the lights were turned up either brighter than normal or brighter than they should be. We had a later reservation but the brightness made it noticeable that there were fewer people in the restaurant. Still, the view was amazing and the overall experience was fantastic. We'll be back again on an annual basis at least!
A welcoming atmosphere awaits you as you open the door to the restaurant. A small but intimate bar with a very good mixologist. The seafood is fresh and I would recommend the lobster appetizer.
Excellent service and food. Would eat here again and again.
They are charging four star New York restaurant prices for extremely extremely mediocre food!If the prices were less I could understand recommending this place if you wanted to eat something while you were staying at the hotel. But I left with a terrible feeling of being completely ripped off never go back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Do not go!
Everyone was nice, but If they want to charge these prices then they need to train the staff better. It was a prix fixe menu on Valentine's day (had maybe 12 items on it for the day) and when I asked the server about a few items he responded with "your guess is as good as mine" I asked for my wine with my meal but it came before the appetizer. They didnt clear any plates until I asked them to. Just sloppy. Again I wouldnt care but they are charging fine dining prices without a fine dining experience.
This restaurant was very good. The food was excellent with perfect size portions. The services was great and the drinks were excellent. The view was very nice even though it was raining hard outside. I will definitely be back. Probably in the summer so I can sit outside.
The food here was fantastic and extremely elevated. We had dinner as we are considering the venue for a 2019 wedding and everything was delicious, fresh and tasted great. The cocktails were also very well made and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
I would go back to Maritime Parc. Love the ambiance and food. Service - good.
We went here for my husband's birthday on a Thursday. We went particularly for their chefs tasting menu as we love to do these things. Upon arrival we discovered there was a burger and oyster dinner special. I really didn't want to do it since it was my husband's birthday but the burgers looked so good! We decided to do it and it was a great choice. The wine they paired with it was excellent. We will go back for the chef's tasting!
Took the lady there on a nice dinner date, the ambiance and location was great! Would good there again, once my wallet recovers haha.
Delicious food, good wine selection, good service. We sat outside, which was lovely. I would definitely go back and would recommend to others!
The octopus was excellent. The vegetable side was amazing. The risotto was ok. The restaurant wasn't as fancy as I expected. Too bright and casual. I was expecting something more romantic. The restaurant was very loud. I was also surprised with how casual it was. People were really dressed "down" for a Saturday night at a restaurant that was just rated top 20 in NJ. I was expecting an ambiance more like The Charthouse. I was a bit disappointed.
Great Thursday night special - $25 for 1/2 dozen oysters, burger (regular, salmon, scallop, or bison), and a specialty beer. Very reasonably priced with on-site valet parking in Liberty State Park and the NYC skyline as a backdrop.
The food was very good. My crab cake was filled with lump crabmeat . Very flavorful . My two friends enjoyed their meals as well.
Outstanding in every way. Great marina and city views. Extensive and reasonably priced wine list. Very affordable menu options are diverse and creative. All of our appetizers
(tuna tartare, octopus and seasonal salad) and dinner choices (scallops, black cod and lobster casserole) excelled. Highly recommended.
Makes for a great day
Looking forward to going back again
This was a terrific place to have brunch by the water, watch the boats sail in and out of NY harbor and see Manhattan's skyline. Attentive service and delicious food in a stupendous setting.
Service and ambiance was great food was GARBAGE 😩
Wonderful fresh farm-to-table food with an appealing and creative menu. Loved the dessert menu too! Our server was attentive to our needs and very engaging. The bar drinks were beautifully served and nicely made. My husband asked the bartender her secret for the old-fashioned that he had ordered and she was nice enough to tell him! We would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope to go back again.
Wonderful overall experience! The hostess was very accommodating and our waiter and the wait staff was excellent. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyed the food and the service. Wished weather was nicer as we sat outside
The restaurant is beautiful and has incredible views. Great indoor and outdoor seating areas. The wait staff was super polite, but seemed a little disjointed from each other. The menu was great, but the execution of some of the dishes left a little to be desired. The cocktails from the bar was great. All in all, a good overall dining experience.
food was a bit salty. waiter described wines as "from chile, from france, etc " without giving name. they need a sommelier.
Pricey but good service and views.
We had burgers and swordfish, all good; service was very attentive. No complaints.
Excellent as always.
Was very disappointed with the quality and taste of the food and the service. We were celebrating my MIL's birthday and it was such a let down. Crappy food and service for high price.
It was my 1 year anniversary, my husband and I got married at Maritime Parc and decided to go back to reminisce. The entire staff, including the manager, made a point to congratulate us, talk about the wedding, etc. The staff is always so friendly, and I've eaten at the restaurant numerous times. The food at Maritime is always amazing and delicious. It was a beautiful night out so we were able to sit outside and enjoy the view of the Hudson. I can not recommend this place enough. I always have a great time there, I can not wait to bring my friends there for a lunch date!
I had a great time. It was my first time at an upscale restaurant.
Good and friendly service: check.
Very nice modern decor, waterfront and view of JC and NYC: check.
Very good food: check - although the chocolate dessert was disappointing (too sweet) compared to the rest of the meal, which was very good.
Outstanding : 2 tasting menus ($55 4-courses, $85 6-courses) both excellent, with wine pairing proposed
Even more outstanding : all bottles > $60 were... discounted at half price ! You can't beat that.
Overall excellent address, will come back and our friends too
Lovely evening and dinner overall but there was a large hedge blocking our view of Manhattan that would have made the ambience that much nicer
My husband & I frequent Maritime Parc- the restaurant- menu, cocktails, wine list, ambience & staff are always exceptional. There are many fantastic restaurants in the NYC & NJ area-but not many that combine a beautiful one- of -a-kind view with excellent food & drink-
Had a late lunch there and the food and service was fantastic. Next time I would like to go at night to see the cityscape.
Totally enjoy m.p. friendly staff, great food, excellent val5
Nice place, but definitely should take dressy out of the description of the resto. Most people were in shorts on a hot summer night would have been good to know and when called they said business casual. More like summer casual. Also could use some updating in the decor/restrooms
Visited this waterfront gem for Sunday brunch. The menu had a great selection for all tastes!
Very good food. Most of the dinners are under $30. Two people with one drinks cost me under $100. For the location and ambience excellent price. Forgot to mention food is really good.
The restaurant ran out of certain appetizers. Then my entree came without my husbands and no side dishes were served at the same time. My entree portion was so small it was more like a appetizer. I had ordered oysters and wound up biting oyster shell pieces which were mixed in the oyster meat. My husband finally received his salmon burger and after eating it we discovered his mouth was bleeding. We still don't know what caused that. This restaurant was listed as a top 25 from NJ Monthly. Someone needs to come back to re-evaluate. I was very disappointed. The food was so so and the overall service poor. The kitchen needs time management lessons.
The first time we went... and probably the last. There were 5 of us, and we all did the 6- course tasting menu. Service was pretty bad- all wait staff, aside from 1 waiter at another table, and the manager, were new. Many of them did not know how to juggle 3 dishes at once from the kitchen. Our own waiter spilled the wine while pouring, and we had to actually ask him to come back and wipe it up and take the menus away after ordering. All the waiters, aside from the manager, consistently reached over others to pass food, instead of going to the other side of the table. The food was okay, but for $85 per person, way overpriced. One dish was a lobster dish. Chunks of lobster in pasta. One member of our group brought it to the attention of our waiter that theirs barely had any lobster, let alone "chunks". He initially said that's how it was, until we pressed him and he said he could ask the kitchen what they could do. When he came back he said the chef agreed that there was no lobster, but added, " it's out of my hands". Service professionals should know what the dishes are and take it right away. The cod and pork belly were good; had we known, we would've ordered a la carte instead and saved some money. At this point, will not be returning. Wait staff needs a ridiculous amount of training; service did not reflect the price we paid for the meal.
