Service was terrible.
Food is slow.
Nobody take care of our table.
I am so disappointed
Amazing service and great food. The manager Duane took great care of us and we will definitely come here again.
Good food, but not the fastest attentive service.
Our waiter Preston was excellent. I originally made reservation for 5. However, we had an extra guess show up so needed a table for 6. The hostess appeared annoyed when I informed her we needed an extra setting. The misoyaki kampachi was very fishy. A little disappointed since I previously ate the same dish about a month ago and it was perfect.
We gathered, a small group of friends, for an intimate celebration of the Christmas season. It was perfect in many ways. The service was excellent, as was the view from the open balcony where we were seated. Our favorite entree, the misoyaki Kona kampachi was presented a bit differently, with a slightly larger portion of the multigrain risotto; however, all components of the dinner that evening was truly memorable.
Always very pleasant to dine at Mariposa. Janet is always accommodating and professional.
The staff makes it a nice experience.
Of course it is such a beautiful experience coming to Mariposa here in Honolulu. I think that it needs to to have an update on decorating. Service was great, always on top of service!
It’s such a lovely setting! My special mahi of the day was great. However my husband had the crab salad and he was disappointed. He said the crab wasn’t as fresh as in the past.
The popovers were cold and not so good.
We had a very pleasant and attentive waiter. However when I asked him for a recommendation as to wine selection, he said he didn’t know anything about wine.
Really, Neiman Marcus! I fault your training, not the waiter. I expect better.
Mariposa is usually a very good place for lunch. The ambiance is festive, the location is nice and food quite good and fresh. But this last lunch was a disappointment...the kitchen was much too slow for a lunch meal. We sat at one and it took an hour to be served. The wait person was very nice and prompt so the problem was clearly in the kitchen. And after this long wait, my mahi was fine for me but would have been too undercooked for most diners. My guests were very disappointed in the blandness of the crab sandwiches. The buns were nothing special and the crab was pronounced very bland and unexciting. Mariposa needs some innovation and expedition in the kitchen.
Exceptional service. Honolulu’s premiere place to lunch and meet friends.
The food and service were exceptional, as always , if not even better!
The flavors were creative and enticing and the prep so healthy (as requested)
The service was impeccable.
Delicious food, attentive service, and they let us talk! What could be better? Mahalo!
Our waiter Mr. Beatty was friendly, helpful and very easy to talk to. We had the Smoked Salmon Tacos, Crab & Hearts of Palm Salad and Seared Kanpachi over Wild Rice Risotto. We've been here before several times and will definitely be back. First time using Open Table which made it easy!
We were a party of 2 : we arrived early and were r a seated immediately: service was attentive but slow. That could be accounted by the busy lunch hour. Restaurants tend to run on a shorter staff these days.
Food was very good, portions were moderate prices reflected the atmosphere. Value is there if you include the view. The cocktails were well made as was desert. Bottom line pricey but worth it fo
Great view of the ocean from the balcony, perfect for the last night in paradise. Extensive menu, including vegetarian/vegan options, and service staff sensitive to diner's allergies. Popovers with strawberry/guava butter are delightful. Great cocktail and wine list. Burger is one of the best in town. Dessert trio is wonderful.
Delightful atmosphere. Foods fresh and healthy and delicious. Just sad the revamped menu removed the chicken Milanese - one of my all time favorite/favorite dishes at any restaurant!!
Love the popover generosity :)
It was very enjoyable. Excellent service and good food. Love the popovers,,
Very disappointed.. food wasn’t that great!
Possibly because of increasing popularity among guests from the world, unfortunately, the ambiance, as well as, the cuisine itself has gotten deteriorating, ae compared to the past.
Every year we have lunch for black friday
We both had a bowl of corn chowder and shared a crab salad. Their corn chowder and popovers are excellent. The salad we shared were divided on separate plates. Very accommodating. Excellent service.
the service was good
Not on Oahu often but when we do visit we always include a meal at Mariposa..... it never disappoints.
I can always count on Mariposa to have great food and great service. The popovers and consommé are always a treat!
Excellent service and food. We celebrate our birthdays at Mariposa and are never disappointed. Janet Takara has become a friend and always treats us special. Our waiter, JoJo was attentive, never rushing us. We always choose Mariposa for lunch.
Service a little slower the past two times I’ve been here. Staffing issues?
Always a great atmosphere and food is excellent service is Fabulous
One of my favorite restaurant as it's always consistent in good service and food. Especially, like Yoon as our server since she is warm, friendly, attentive and aware of details to make for outstanding service. Hats off to the GM Duane as he had been able to maintain a staff of longtime employees and newer ones that delivery consistent service and food. Mahalo
Since the last time I've been here, they raised the prices significantly. I always get the lobster club that used to be spectacular and now is just a sandwich. Although good it isn't a $30 sandwich.
We enjoyed a chance to dine and talk without being rushed. Sat inside by the window to enjoy the view; lanai dining option looked inviting, but outside was too warm that day. Service was generally attentive and accommodating, but unobtrusive. Food was very good, any special requests were no problem, and could have as many popovers as one wanted. Great place for a leisurely lunch in pleasant surroundings.
