Food was great, but they were very busy and the service was slow. Pretty sure the kitchen was backed up. I’ll chock it up to the holidays

Mariposa is located at Nieman Marcus in Westchester Mall. It is very convenient for lunch during shopping not only at NM but also in the mall. Mariposa offers a regular menu but also an additional menu with special dishes recommended by the Chef for that day and some of them are calories and fat conscious (I had Salmon tacos with avocado and salsa which was light and delicious!). Service is quick and efficient and ambience is pleasant. A definite return for me!

Went on Mother's Day, very disappointed!! Waited 20 minutes for the waiter to come take our order, then told us they had no iced tea or any fried calamari. Also had no big bottles of Pellegrino so we had to have tiny bottles, there were 5 of us.... which u think they would have especially for Mother's Day. Had to ask waiter for the complementary popovers and chicken broth to be brought to our table because they forgot. Food took very long not worth the wait or the price. Very disappointed, ruined Mother's Day lunch. I will be sure not to go there next year!

Like the broth upon arrival. The popover was a nice touch. The service was good but the food was just ordinary. A hamburger for 17.50 should be superb and the fries were mediocre at best. Coffee for $4.00???? Just not worth the money. Lunch for the three of us was over $75 . 3 burgers, one coffee and one iced tea and a generous tip. Will be eating a t Nordstrom next time.

I love meeting friends for lunch at Neiman's. If you are shopping at the Westchester, it is a great place for lunch. The food is consistently good. I met a friend for lunch and we both had salads that were delicious. I like the atmosphere and the convenience. We met during the holidays. The cafe was full of holiday shoppers and the mood was festive. I go often and the food and service are consistently good.

We chose Mariposa based on reviews I had read and the location near where we had an appointment. My first impression upon entering the restaurant in Neiman Marcus was that it was more of a dinner place than a lunch spot since there were no windows. It was a beautiful fall day and we were sitting in a cave! The food was good but nothing special. Nothing I would rave about or even call "delicious." Just good, well-presented, fairly ordinary food. We each had a salad. The portions were variable. One salad was large enough for 2 people to share and the other was more the size of a side salad with a small slice of salmon filet perched on top. Both salads were little more than bagged greens in a bowl with some nuts and other toppings. The turkey on one tasted like it was straight from a deli even though the menu said it was roasted there. The service was good - prompt and accurate. But the price was astronomical for what you get. For far less money we could have gotten food just as good across the street at the Cheesecake Factory or just about any decent lunch place. We had just these 2 salads, no desert, appetizers or beverages, and we left over $60! The restaurant was quite well attended so we assumed there is a large following of people who are regulars - probably mall-shoppers - for whom $30 for a bowl of greens with some salmon or deli turkey means nothing. I would rather pay what it is really worth and donate the rest to the charity of my choice. We won't be back.

Skip the spa and just come here for a relaxing lunch. Nothing rejuvenates and reenergizes more than the popovers and chicken broth. Everything else is like dessert.

Sit down and you are served a demi tasse cup of chicken broth and a fresh hot popover with strawberry butter. Much to choose from on the menu, be it salad, sandwich or entree. I had the chicken milanese with Israeli cous cous. It was delicious. Pleasant surroundings and nice staff.

I returned to Mariposa for a quick lunch during my shopping at the Westchester Mall and , this time I had a real nice meal. Sandwich on Ciabatta bread with grilled chicken was very good, and, it was accompanied by green salad and fruit salad as well. Portion was quite generous and presentation nice. Busy as it was at that lunch "rush", service was surprisingly quick. Overall, good place to dine not only during shopping but also worth to make a special trip. A "come back" for me.

It was my numerous return to Mariposa for lunch during my shopping at the Westchester Mall. This restaurant offers a diverse menu from soups and salads to sandwiches to main dishes to desserts. There is also quite significant selection of healthy and low calorie dishes and I chose one, which was quinoa spaghetti with salmon. However, I was disappointed because I could not appreciate the presence of quinoa and the dish looked and tasted like regular spaghetti with abundance of tomato sauce! Too bad really ...Anyway, I filled my stomach and finished my shopping successfully. I like to return to Mariposa and try other dishes with a better luck.

The Zodiac room is a great place to lunch if you are at the Westchester. It is always pleasant and the food is consistently good. We all had the Sampler, which is soup and sandwich. The lentil soup is always delicious as is the chicken salad. I recommend this for lunch or tea. You won't be disappointed.
