Our server Dawn was wonderful. We ate there on our honeymoon and it was perfect. Beautiful view, great cocktails, & amazing food. The empanadas were top notch. Can’t wait to come back & eat here again!
Best meal I have had anywhere. If I wasn’t leaving tomorrow, I would definitely go back.
We had such a wonderful experience at Mariposa! The decor is breathtaking, and the service was outstanding! The food was the most delicious we had ever had, the grilled octopus literally metes on your mouth, sure you've heard people describe food like that before, but the octopus literally did! The steaks were all so good and had a wonderful flavor, dessert was good the tres leches was the best dessert ever; we will definitely be comimg back next time we are in Sedona?
Overall, pretty good! I would recommend this to anyone!
Parking Lot "Greeter" was less than cordial. Seemed to not want to be there. Lacked eye contact and was pretty "care less" in regards to our presence.
Hostess seated us next to a fairly loud table of six, when there were multiple open tables throughout the restaurant. It felt like we were being punished for some reason. My back was to the spectacular view, as I graced my wife with the seat looking out at the fantastic scenery. Previously, we had dined at the restaurant and they seated us next to each other, so that we both could appreciate the view.
Food was great! And the service was gracious and attentive.
Location, service, and ambiance are 5/5, but food was disappointing given the high expectations we had. Empanadas were not good- would not recommend. Neptune salad was ok. My husband loved his lamb dish and would order again. I did not like the roasted chicken, too much lemon. Lobster mashed potatoes were definitely not worth it. We loved the signature drink and sangria. Gelato was delicious.
Would definitely return for drinks and dessert, but probably not for the food.
Incredible!! Food, service and view were top notch. Highly recommend!!
The most beautiful view in Sedona, delicious food & amazing service.
Everything was stunning! The flavors unique and amazing
The restaurant view was amazing. The food was perfect as well as the service. We wanted a table by the window for the view but they couldn’t accommodate us.
Beautiful setting, DELICIOUS food and great service. Can’t ask for anything more!!
A very special dining experience. The view is one of a kind and the food was excellent. We had about 3 different servers helping us.
Awesome dining experience sitting on the outdoor patio with a magnificent view of Sedona red rocks. Watching the sunset into the mountains was lovely while enjoying drinks and appetizers. Both the appetizers and dinner were amazing….fresh and flavorful.
We celebrated our 23rd anniversary and was not disappointed. The food service and views were amazing!
Absolutely spectacular. As advertised. Excellent ambience and easily the best Latin cuisine in Sedona!
The meal and ambiance made for a wonderful vacation and anniversary dinner. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. The empanadas appetizer was wonderful paired with my sangria. Our dinners were cooked well. My husband had the fish of the day and I had the chicken. Both were prepared uniquely and were delicious!
Amazing night - great food and service
They would not let our group of ladies sit together at the same table and force us to be split up, even though there was plenty of room for us to sit together. We ended up having to get up and walk food across the room to each other and they followed us on radio as we walked around the restaurant. We went out to take pictures and the hostess radio to the manager that we were out taking pictures. We felt like we were under surveillance the whole dinner and we were very upset that after not seeing each other for almost 2 years and all of us flying in for a birthday, they would not let us sit together when I had 7 girls total. They claim to have a dress code, but several people we saw in the restaurant we’re dressed supercasual and flip-flops and T-shirts. So it was very frustrating that they would not let us sit together because of their supposed rules, yet so many people were not following the dress code rules and that was fine with them. We have never felt so discriminated against, what would a large family do? Seems like the place is only made for couples and would not allow a group of girls in their 40s to sit together. Will never come back here
Good food and great view. Had a great time at Mariposa. I would go back again.
Everything about the drinks, appetizers, and dinner was amazing. I will certainly be returning!
It is the most beautiful place! We ate inside due to the heat. It was as beautiful as outside! Our caesar salads were not good--too many nuts and not enough dressing. Who ever heard of peanuts in a caesar? Everything else was great. We were disappointed to find there were no brussel sprouts, or cranberry juice? Times are tough, I guess! It was a great place, and we will continue to enjoy the ambiance of Mariposa!!!!!!
The beef empanadas are delicious! The white wine sangria was so tasty and refreshing. Filet mignon was tender and juicy. I wished I had made reservations for daytime to enjoy the view.
Best restaurant in Sedona! The food and wine here were amazing! My husband and I ordered some tapas, one entrée plate plus sides to share and loved everything. We sat inside with a great view of the red rocks right at sunset. We made the mistake of eating here our first night in Sedona, and quickly found out that no other restaurant could compare! Service was great, attentive while still giving you plenty of space to enjoy your dinner company. They do book up quickly so if you are thinking about booking, do it well in advance!
Everything we ordered was exceptionally delicious. The grilled octopus is a true stand out. Service was warm and friendly and the views are unbeatable.
The most amazing experience all around! Everything was perfect, and we will be back for sure. We have been to 4/5 of Chef Dahl’s restaurants and loved them all!
Unbelievable ambience service and food was the best never ate such tender scallops and the filet was very tasty prepared to perfection sides of lobster claw mashed potatoes and wood oven mushrooms the best. Special desert ice cream for our anniversary was the best. The views of red rocks from dining room was awesome. Definitely a 5 star experience
Loved the halibut! Seafood special was described a bit like paella but it was more like cioppino. All in all very good!
One of the few places I have ever been where the serving staff knows the menu by heart. Beautiful location and building. Every staff member was welcoming and seemed glad we were there. They can accommodate inside and outside diners. And the food!? Ridiculous! We ordered much more than we could eat, simply to take it home. The leftovers traveled well and we as delicious the next day. Cannot recommend enough
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, disappointing food. We did not get entrees— we ordered an assortment of tapas and a salad to share. The muscles were in a very nice sauce but the rest was at the level of a chain restaurant. It lacked flavor and quality. Not what we expected for such a highly rated restaurant. Unfortunately, it doesn’t make me want to try any of Chef Dahls other spots.
My husband and I went here for dinner towards the end of our honeymoon. The service was impeccable. The ambiance was romantic. The food was absolutely outstanding. I will be dreaming of the mashed potatoes with lobster scampi.
Incredible food with even better view and atmosphere!
Wonderful service and great food
Empanadas and mussels were incredible. We had the halibut which was delicious and light. Also the lamb which was the best we have had.
Dessert favorites were the tres leches and the flourless chocolate cake with salted caramel gelato.
This is a beautiful place for a special meal with the stunning view of the red rocks of Sedona.
Gorgeous view and excellent service. Great spot in Sedona!
Absolutely our overall favorite restaurant experience in Sedona, fabulous food, view, service!
AMAZING! We loved our server and her assistant. Great food and one of the best views
Parked steps from entrance and was seated immediately. Water and drinks arrived quickly. The Whiskey Sour was the best I’ve ever had. Salad and Main course arrived with little wait and the dessert was exceptional.
A very enjoyable evening with a fabulous view.
Great food and service with a stunning view.
Our second visit was absolute perfection! The first was in 2018 and we looked forward to returning to Mariposa for 3 years! Another outstanding dining experience! Ambiance, staff, food… all perfection! And that front door! 🥰
A truly special place.
I requested a table outside on the patio and could not be more thrilled with our table. The view was magnetic! The staff was also fantastic! The Prickly Pear Cheesecake was outstanding. I will definitely be back in the future.
