Mariposa at Neiman Marcus - Beverly Hills Ratings and Reviews
Mariposa has always been a secret weapon of mine. The food is always great; temperature, taste and presentation. It seems that NM shoppers know about it but few others do...it really is a very special place. I’m a tough customer and they get it right every time(and I’m not a regular!). We go maybe once a month. You will not be disappointed.
My apologies. I did not realize I made reservation for Mariposa, Beverly Hills when I wanted one at Mariposa, at NM, Ala Moana in Honolulu.
IN spite of no reservations there, we were able to be seated of which I was very grateful.
Our experience was wonderful, food delicious, ambiance beautiful.
Always enjoy Mariposa, no matter the city. Started with Stone Fruit with Burrata and Toasted Pistachios while hubby enjoyed Watermelon and Shrimp Salad with Avocado; next course, Chicken Katsu with Pickled Cucumbers for me while hubby had Carne Asada Salad with Chimichurri Caesar Vinaigrette. For dessert, Chocolate Mousse with Candied Pecans and Brûléed Bananas.
I've only starting going to NM's Mariposa restaurant a few times before its remodeling a couple of years ago. Ever since I've really enjoyed the meal & service. Everyone from the host to my server [usually Jose] has been very gracious & accommodating. In the future I plan to bring one of my closest colleagues & her sister, to whom I've very close.
As a long time Neiman's customer I usually have an outstanding time at their restaurants. Service on this particular occasion was lackluster. With that being said, my lunch was delicious and prompt. My server was not very welcoming but the support staff was spot on. The runners and busboys were were far more attentive than my actual server. I really enjoy the remodel with the large windows.
The popovers were the best thing we had at this birthday lunch. The tiny cup of chicken broth was also very good but the entree salads were forgettable, except for the prices, which were excessive. The meat in the carne asada salad was well-marinated and tasted good but the rest was shredded cabbage with a few dices of tomato. The apricot cobbler dessert had fresh apricots but they were under-ripe. The cobbler topping tasted like pie crust broken into small pieces, flavored with some cinnamon. The vanilla ice cream was sorely needed to overcome the apricots' sourness. Expensive and disappointing.
We celebrated Mother's Day and 2 birthdays. It was one of the few places that had a special occasion menu as well as the regular menu. This doesn't happen at other nice places on Mother's Day. They all jack up the price and only offer a special menu. The service and attention couldn't have been nicer. Each of us loved our meal.
Once a very bustling and energetic eatery that we enjoyed for decades. Alas now a boring, tired and unsophisticated cafe. The shift from the elegant way NM was run as a place to go and experience quality and service it now reeks of irresponsible management.
Oh the people the popovers and the TLC given by staff. A very nice break from the exhausting vibe of BH. No attitude at all, let us linger as long as we wanted to. Delicious salads, good serving sizes, nice wine selection and also a full bar al at fairly reasonable prices. Go and enjoy and be entertained by the eclectic mix of old and young.
We went to Mariposa to celebrate my daughter's 12th birthday. Over the years this restaurant has been a favorite of mine and my friends. Although some might consider it for "every day" dining/lunch - it is a bit pricey for that , but well worth it. The Lobster Cobb salad is incredible and is on the regular menu. The service is exceptional and the staff friendly. I only wish we could go MORE often.
Whenever I get together with friends I always recommend Mariposa. The best part is if I want to pick up the tab and treat my friend I can because although it's not cheap, it's affordable and the food is fantastic! You don't have to worry about me coming back, I'll always be back!
The wait staff and matre'd are always attentive and welcoming. Robert was seating that day, and as usual he was wonderful. I enjoy the food and the people. It's also very convenient and beautiful for a nice break at lunch. Always look forward to the Shrimp Spagetini. Light and delicious.
Normally love it here. Hair in soup. Also asked for sauce for steak on side. They put it on it, if tasted terrible. They then brought out another one with no sauce and it we just as bad. Meat tasted spoiled. When the check came, although I wasn't charged for the steak, I was charged for the fries that came with the steak. How disappointing.
Made an early reservation with special request for a smaller intimate table due to my father's needs- Alzheimer's patient / walker. Totally annoyed at the poor choice of the host, who then acknowledged he gave our table away (5ppl) to their VIP customer (2PPL) and did not replace or find an alternative till we walked in and scrambled with a bit of an attitude. Barely apologized or acknowledged his error. BAD IMPRESSION!
I frequent the restaurant for business and personal dining and may reconsider after this situation. Food is delicious...but not pleased.
Our meals were good. I had the cioppino, my friends had the Mary's chicken. However, the complimentary popover they bring upon arrival was a bit overdone and dry. And they didn't bring us the consumme to go with it. The decor is interesting. And there's a nice glass wall to look out into the cosmetics area, and yet not have the many cologne aromas interfere with tasting your meal.
