The food was delicious! It was a little noisy but not enough to detract from dinner. It wad my daughter's graduation and they made her feel special. I definitely recommend Mario's!
Always a great meal at Mario's. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
What a fun find! The food was excellent! Sole oreganta so delicious! Can’t wait to go back with my husband!
Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Absolutely the best meal we ever have had on Authur Avenue. Top dishes of the evening were the manicotti and the orange roughy...both so flavorful and prepared perfectly. Definitely planning on coming back next time in town!
Everything was great. Food. Service. That’s why we always go back
Outstanding dining experience from Regina modifying our reservation ON Mother’s Day to Ben our top notch server. Excellent!!
Very accommodating to 6 plus infant. The food met all expectations, the portions were generous, the prices were fair, and the staff was very accommodating to our party.
Great place, good food on Arthur ave in the Bronx . Also have their own parking lot around the corner which is nice. Tough to find a space down there. Our favorite restaurant !
Wonderful Italian food and great service. Never disappoints!!
Great meal in an Arthur Avenue standby. Good food and friendly service in the heart of the Bronx’s Little Italy. What’s not to like!
Excellent food, great and friendly service . First time there will definitely come back
Mario's always a treat. Service superb and food yummy. Best on Arthur Avenue.
I hadn't been to Mario's for many years and was happy to see it still has good food and excellent service. Worth the trip uptown!
Overcrowded with very bland tasting food. It took 45 minutes for them to bring us our appetizers. It took over a 1/2 hour to retrieve our car from the valet. I won’t be visiting that restaurant any time soon again.
Good Food, Reasonable Prices, Large Portions. What More do you need to know? Third Generation Family Run. Warm semolina bread, nice wines and a friendly staff. Make a Reservation!
It was our first time at the Mario's. Ever part of the evening was enjoyable. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and the bus boy was entertaining. I would definitely return again. I liked that I could make a reservation and when I got there, the table was ready.
Mario's is an Arthur Ave institution. Very good northern Italian food. Very much a neighborhood spot. The saltimbocca is terrific, and the pasta al dente. Have a cocktail, the pour is great.
This was not one of the best times at Mario’s. The place was very crowded and people were on top of each other. The waiter was sweet but the bus boys were clumsy. Portions were small, but the food was good. Maybe it was a bad night
Food was excellent. Service was great. A bit noisy but super crowded on a Saturday night.
Mario’s serves the best Italian food on Arthur Avenue. The dining room is not upscale, but this restaurant is the real deal, old style Italian fare. We were there on a Saturday night and the place was bustling with energy and delicious smells. The noise level was very high, and the service could have been faster, but if you’re looking for excellent traditional Italian dishes, you can’t beat Mario’s. And the valet parking comes in handy on crowded Arthur Avenue.
Great place to eat food was fabulous but you NEED a reservation, place is always packed!
Great food and friendly and attentive wait staff!
Best Italian restaurant in NYC -- spectacular pasta, wonderful wine list, great seafood. Ambience cannot be matched.
We got there half hour early and our table was already ready. We sat down we were greeted with a couple of servers . Always a smile and happy Italian attitude. Food was reflected the outstanding service. Lamb Chops, Chicken Parm and my Ravioli were amazing. We were a party of 7 people, we asked about dessert, he made us an off the menu platter of canoli, tira masu, ice cream. The entire experience was very well orchestrated. Thank you to team of Mario's.
As always. MARIO'S WAS WONDERFUL. WE SEAM TO GET THERE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR AROUND EASTER. LOOKING FOWARD TO SHORTIN THE TIME BEFORE GOING AGAIN
The food, service and whole dining experience is consistently excellent!
We have been coming here for many years and will continue!
Can’t really say that it was anything but average.
Best Italian restaurant in NYC The people are very friendly. The service is excellent and the fish and broccoli rabe I had couldn't be better. The only objection we found was that the calamari wasn't tender
Very crowded restaurant and service was civil, not friendly. Food was pretty bad. Stuffed artichoke was the worst I’ve ever had; over cooked and soggy with no flavor. Disappointing. Positives: dinner was slowly paced and not rushed. Busboys were efficient with water, bread, etc. generous pours on drinks were appreciated.
very authentic, food amazing (check out the artichokes!), as good as what i grew up on being Italian and actually living in the Bronx. Living on Long Island now we make the drive several times throughout the year
Food was good waiter was informative and attentive.
Delicious food lots of choices!! Aye early and it was full so honestly. Parking was a plus!!
Amazing meal, we will go BACK!!
We were visiting Arthur Avenue for the day from the IACC in Albany. We had a delicious meal at Mario’s and a wonderful waiter. We plan to eat there again on our next visit!
Haven't been to Mario's in so many years. So glad we went back. It beats any other restaurant in the Arthur Avenue area. The food is fabulous, even the bread. I had the veal parmigiana. The sauce was superlative. My husband had the veal Marsala and loved it. Tiramisu was one of the best that we have eaten, even including Italy.
You must try their cappuccino - so fantastic.
Loved our waiter, Blendi. Hope we get him again.
We are now convinced that we would rather go to Mario's than go to the overpriced and overrated restaurants in Manhattan. True that there are some good ones but they are few and far between.
This is a sure bet!
Mario's is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Authentic and fantastic Italian food on historic Arthur Avenue.
Been here many times because of the thin crust pizza. It's the best! Have enjoyed other meals here but no one makes thin crust pizza like Mario's. Yum!
The ambiance is nice, Mario's is decorated with warm lighting and the noise is always at a low chatter. The dishes were good, but their Spiedini alla Romana was amazing. And the bread was warm. Always a good sign.
Best Italian in New York! Brought me back to my travels in Italy!
This restaurant TRULY exemplifies my claim that there is NO better place for Italian food in New York than the street of Arthur Avenue.
