As a native Miamian, Mario the Baker in North Miami was one of the best, family owned Italian restaurants and having worked at an Automobile Dealership close by, weekly orders from Mario the Baker was consistent. Changing jobs and years passed, I stopped in whenever I was in the area and it remained authentic and homemade. This was my first visit to a "franchise" location and while the Garlic Rolls are still excellent, the Spaghetti with Meat Balls and Lasagna lacked spice, flavor and tasted "packaged". Choco our server was kind, courteous and always had a smile. While Mario the Baker is not a place where one would find a nice wine selection, Choco did offer a Pinot Grigio that was crisp and refreshing. Known best for their Pizza which is what we should have ordered, I will return just for Pizza and Garlic Rolls.
