We went to Marie Louise Bistro for a Sunday celebration of my husband's birthday. It was pretty quiet on a Sunday night, so if that's what you're looking for, it's a great spot. The feel is that of a French bistro (as it should be) and was true to form. The front of the restaurant is coffee and pastries, while the back is country French. The food was excellent. We had classic dishes: steak frites, duck breast and the 1/2 chicken. All were very well-prepared and presented. Our server was informative and attentive all the way until the very end, and I think he may have lost track of us for a bit. No worries, we finished our generous cappuccinos and pastries.
The front-end staff was really helpful in explaining the pastries while we browsed.

Great specials- the sea bass and the beef were great! Not good, but great! It was a quiet Saturday eve and not very busy. My wife and I

My husband and I had an excellent meal. We were greeted and seated right away, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu. The cocktails were tasty, and the food was overall very good, though my potatoes were not as hot as they should have been. Extensive dessert selections and very good taste. Would definitely eat there again.

Went on a Thursday night, the restaurant was only about half full and nice and quiet, though a little cold. The food was extremely good as were my wife's Sangria and their version of The Old Fashioned that I had. Our 11yr old daughter had the mussels which she loved and I started with the Escargot. Our main entree's (rockfish, seafood pasta, and coq au vin) were also very good and more than enough to fill up all but the biggest eaters. For those that like pastry's and deserts, the eclairs and creme brulee were great. The service was great and never hovering.

Over priced for what you get. I ordered the duck and the fat was not rendered off properly and the sauce had no flavor the complimented the duck.

Really unimpressed and for the pricing, I would have expected the chef to actually know how to prepare food.

Server was flustered but overall attentive. Not really sure how this place got such favorable reviews.

We went for Restaurant Week and we're really excited abt the menu options. I ordered a filler and asked for them to butterfly it. When our steaks arrived my husband's steak was much larger than mine, which I didn't complain about. But it was not butterflied. When I asked abt it, the waiter didn't know what I was talking about, and I had to explain it to him. Long story short, the meat came out extra tough because they went and cut it, then put it back on the grill. Worst filet I've ever had. They made up for it though with the sides, appetizers, and desserts. The place was very busy and that may have contributed to the waiters lack of engagement or attention. When we asked for steak sauce, sugar for the tea, butter for the bread, they acted like it was a hassle. They only had 3 waiters (from what I could tell) and were overwhelmed. I would bet that the food and service is better on a night outside of restaurant week.
