So relax and enjoy a one-hour vacation with us - get away to the Cantina!
It was a great way to end our evening. Really great food and great margaritas!
We are repeat patrons because the service, menu & ambience is always satisfactory.
Thank you.
Kristy took great care of us! Thank you!
Love the atmosphere, great food and drinks! Everything on the menu is delicious.
Always a great time at Maria’s!
The cantina is so nice and bright. Service is great even when accommodating a large party which we witnessed firsthand. Our server, Christina, was very friendly and engaged not only with me but my three year old granddaughter. Nice to have one so friendly helping us. The food tasted great.
Could not have been nicer!
The servings are very large and delicious. The nacho plates are easily enough for two. Service is warm ,efficient and friendly
The server was great and so was the food. It was a bit noisy but manageable.
We had a great time on Father’s Day. Service was fast and the food was great. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Love Maria’s cantina. One our favorite Mexican restaurants because they use organic and fresh ingredients. Salads are always fresh. Thankful for vegan menu items. Nachos to die for! Bartenders awesome. As are waitresses and waiters. Float staff make sure we have water and chips. Great attitudes.
The spicy guacamole was excellent as well as the salsa! Two mains were ordered: Casa Carnitas were very good and the Street Tacos (chicken and pork) were excellent!
Great off-Main Street find! Pleasantly surprised to discover so many Mexican seafood-based menu items . The beers were ice cold, the Margaritas were generous and tasty, and all the food was delicious with only one exception: the Coconut Shrimp were overcooked (an odd duck for a Mexican restaurant anyway, but one person in our party HAD to order them).
Great food, great service! Always an enjoyable experience.
Food was very well prepared, salad relied on the fresh ingredients not on the dressing. Chili Verde was amazing. The chips were light and fluffy. The server was very courteous and helpful. And the restaurant ambiance set in what looked like a large house was very welcoming. We will definitely repeat.
As usual great friendly servers and excellent food! Maria is my favorite restaurant in Woodland!
Nice, diverse menu, food is great! Tried their crema de chile poblano soup and it was very delicious. Highly recommend! Wine is a bit limited and pricy. Can be very noisy at times. Still, a great value with a GroupOn.
This is the only Mexican restaurant I willing eat at because their spicyness is low key & edible.
Delicious food and good service and nice ambiance. Will definitely go back again.
The elderflower margarita was delicious. The pomegranate margarita was meh— not very much flavor.
Food was great, service was outstanding.
We have eaten there several times and always found it to be very enjoyable. The service and food is always the best.
typical Mexican food, but quite tasty, really good parking across the street
Maria's is my favorite restaurant in Woodland and the best Mexican style food in the greater Sacramento area. I go their 3 to 6 times a month! If friends or family in town I often take them there. The food is excellent and service always excellent too.
Really enjoyed lunch here with the gals! The service was outstanding with front of the house staff cooperating seamlessly in tandem as a team to provide attentive but not intrusive service. I had the Cilantro-Lime Salmon Taco --deliciously moist.
We were going thru town with an elderly mum and asked for their most quiet booth, in which we were promptly seated after being cheerfully greeted.
The service was cheerful, helpful, friendly and very attentive. The food arrived quickly and the coconut shrimp and flautas were hot and tasty.
We have already recommended this cantina to family and friends in the area.
We frequent Maria’s because it’s always a great experience... service, food and the wonderful people who work there make our meals a good experience!
Wonderful! Great fish dishes
We made reservations because yelp said to, the place was empty. We started with drinks, they were out of ginger ale so we went to plan B. Dinner came, food was plates beautifully but the flavor wasn’t there. One pf our party didn’t get what he ordered but ate it anyway. I will say the rice and chili’s relain was good. Drove in from Sacramento to check it out, won’t be back, I’ll stick with Vince’s
Exceptional food and had the best margaritas... great price overall and the service was super!
Great place and food. My company and I enjoyed every bite.
I had the sweet potato tacos (new on their menu- to me); very tasty!
This is the only Mexican restaurant I willing eat at. They don’t make their items with a lethal dose of spicy chili’s & jalapeños, so the cuisine is very eatable.
Service is always attentive without being intrusive.
Go try it out.
Maria's has great parking and is easy to find. Servers were awfully nice ..... but service was VERY slow. That worked for us as we had a two hour window to fill prior to a performance. Food was okay. The women's bathroom is beautiful and quite a pleasant surprise to enter. I would be comfortable recommending Maria's to friends if they were not foodies and were in absolutely no hurry at all.
Very friendly atmosphere, good service; good food options too, with several interesting variations.
Excellent as always!
Had a very comfortable meal on the patio. Sweet potato tacos were excellent, requested vegan version, turned out well. Requested the habanero picante sauce on the side, very good. Friendly and responsive staff.
I meet a friend for dinner at Maria’s Cantina. We hadn’t seen each other for 15 years. We were they for almost 4 hours. They servers were very accommodating. They food was really good and great service! I would definitely go back! 👍🏽
Despite an over-loud group at a nearby table, we had an enjoyable meal. The hacienda salad was excellent, as were the Caesar salad and the pork carnitas. The chips are first rate (fried in lard?), and the salsa is one of the best. Good guacamole, too.
I found Maria's on TripAdvisor while looking for a good restaurant within the Sacramento Airport dining area (somewhat limited, unfortunately). I was not disappointed. The menu spans a good selection of classic Mexican entrees and the service and food were outstanding. Being a party of one (I was flying out of Sacramento early the following morning), it was a treat watching the cook and wait staff. It was impressive! I will certainly return to Maria's on my future visits and encourage others to give it a try as well.
Love the chips and salsa. Meals were delicious.
