Marianacci's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Consistent quality. Service is always outstanding. Food is very fresh and always quickly and hot. One of best Italian seafood restaurants. Great value. Quiet--able to have conversation at table.
Branzino, lobster, shrimp and all pasta dishes are excellent. Staff is very friendly and never changes--they operate well as team and cover very carefully for each other.
In summary, a wonderful restaurant!
I ate by myself as I was in the area for business and it was fairly near my hotel. I was extremely pleased that I found this neighborhood restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient. The food was excellent! I started with a special salad--golden beets, string beans, tomatoes, radicchio, onions. Fresh and delicious. Main was shrimp and sole franchese. Very light coating, cooked properly so shrimp and fish still juicy. Overall a great find. I will definitely return when next in the area.
We had a reservation which they did not honor. Seated us 30 minutes later in a separate room which had available tables all along.. Very unpleasant experience. Dishes we wanted, they only had one portion. They did not apologize for all the inconvenience and unpleasantness. Food was not very good
We have this restaurant favorites list but boy were they off their game last Saturday.
We were seated at a table in the third room of the restaurant.
Our waiter and his bus boy was no where to be found.
No water glasses! Drinks took 20 minutes to get. Bread had to be asked for. Stuffed clams app to 35 minutes. Entrees took 60 minutes more. We arrived at 8:15 and ate at nearly 9:45. In my opinion when they get hit really hard with reservations they should draw a line and stop taking them. Really disappointed in them.
We know they can do better.
Marianacci's food is consistently excellent. The chef is amazing and the sauces outstanding. They enhance the dish as they should. The experience is the closest thing to being at home. You are welcomed by the hostess and when you have the same waiter (John) week after week, he becomes part of the family and he treat you as such sneaking in biscotti to accompany the cappuccino. The food is always served hot. The specials are out of this world. Everything is fresh. Do not even think about it. Go and have a great meal. You will never be disappointed. Live band on Friday. Fabulous in every way.
My husband and I went with two other couples. We all enjoyed the drinks, food and service. I had the shrimp scampi which was very flavorful ; my husband had the veal chop (one of the specials) - he loved it. I had the ricotta cheesecake for dessert which was just ok (a little on the dry side). Overall I would highly recommend it.
The only reason I would give this 3 stars is because one of the friends I was with loved it. But for me it was just a 2. She lives in the neighborhood and wasn't sure what it would be like, but lo and behold she was pleasantly surprised. The place had been renovated, but has remained "old school" Italian. She had the capellini pomodoro and raved about it. I had a glass of wine that was very weak and served in a very small glass that I wasn't sure was clean. I had a dish that was similar to veal scarpiello. The sauce and the peppers were to die for, but I couldn't really find the meat. I think there was about two ounces of veal that was pounded so thin I could spit through it. I didn't seem to care because the sauce was so good. Another friend had the seafood over linguini which was average. There restaurant was empty with only one other table of people on a Thursday night. The wait staff seemed uninterested in us and we had to find them to get the check. I would only go back if someone else wanted to go there.
Not a good experience. i eat out about 5 nights a week and normally don't leave reviews but this was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. slow service, wine by the glass couldn't of been cheaper quality, the sodas are in very small glasses filled to the top with ice...$3.75 per soda, no free refills (I know I sound petty for this but when you see the size of the cups you would understand when you have 3 kids at the table). bakes clams had no sauce and were very dry, no children's menu which is fine but when you get charged $17.95 for a half order of ziti in marinara sauce, it really rubbed me the wrong way. I could of dined at tarry lodge for less money and better quality food.
We enjoy going to Marianacci's as it is a very traditional "old school" family owned Italian restaurant. The food and service are very good and the service is extremely accommodating and they make you feel very comfortable. Atmosphere probably more conducive to the "mature" diner!
first time here and very excited given the reviews. However we were left waiting to be seated for at least 10 minutes before anyone even welcomed us. The bar tender saw us and should have called someone. (this annoyed me)
we ordered and as we started eating our dinner we noticed that another table that was seated after us was being told about the specials. We were never informed. ( this annoyed me as well)
I should mention that they had several different specialty salads available in price range of $10 - $14 but all I wanted was a house salad made with romaine lettuce. this was not a problem and a small salad was brought to me. I should have asked the cost because it ended up to be $11. Absolutely ridiculous.
on a good note the food was good. Not sure if I would go back
We have been repeat customers here and always enjoy the experience. The menu choices and specials are Italian but with creative combinations that distinguish it from other Italian restaurants. This time I had the Sole and Scampi Francese which was outstanding, very light and perfectly cooked. I can also recommend the lasagna and Spaghettini Al Mare from prior visits. Pleasant dining atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommended.
Marianacci's is always excellent and this experience was no exception. We were seated immediately, the service was excellent and the food was excellent. This restaurant is consistently good in every way year after year. The shrimp and sole francese, the chicken parmigiana and the buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad were excellent. The sauces at this restaurant are excellent as they compliment yet don't overwhelm. Their cappuccino is distinctively flavorful and smooth and they include biscotti without charge. We will continue to regularly eat at Marianacci's.
The Service and our waiter were exceptional. Food was excellent. So nice to be in a restaurant and not have to shout across the table and be able to hear each other. We were not rushed and our food was served in a timely manner. We Really enjoyed the evening and will be back.
