We are regulars at this establishment...my wife always gets the chicken fajitias and I skip around the menu. This time I enjoyed the Carnitas Tacos......service is always friendly and the drinks cold......this time the band was roaming the floor and playing and was a bit distracting and louder than normal....the place as packed to the brim with a steady flow of patrons for this Saturday night.
Good for, great service. A slightly weird smell in the restaurant. Great prices and specials.
Food was awful. Beef and chicken was supposed to be shredded. What I received was a quarter breast in a taco shell and a chuck of beef in a tortilla that was supposed to be an enchilada. Food was extremely bland and inedible. I expressed my disappointment in the food and received no reaction. Not sure if the waitress didn’t understand what I said or just didn’t care. After paying $50 for a dinner for 2 we had the go to another restaurant to eat dinner!
I loveeee the fajitas and the sangria! The warm chips and fresh salsa were great as well!
My friends and I loved our dinner
We come here often. They have excellent food and the service is great.
We love Mariachi! The food and service are consistently great. I think the restaurant could use some updating, but you can't beat the food and service. We love the tamal de elote, and enjoy that they have traditional juice drinks, like horchata and maranon.
Excellent meal as always and great service. We eat here all the time and it never disappoints.
Very good selection of Mexican and Spanish food and drink. Worth going back too.
Great experience. Food was excellent and staff very friendly.
very good variety of Mexican and Spanish entres and drinks. Friendly and attentive service in a lovely setting.
One of our favorite restaurants. Always good service, good food, and it’s just nice to have white linen tablecloths and napkins sometimes. :-)
Another wonderful meal at our "go-to" Mexican food restaurant!
Great food, friendly service and a balcony make this a great spot for a nice dinner with friends!
Outstanding & authentic Mexican food! Menu had delicious tamale de elote which is not usually on local menus. Sacramento platter had a chili relleno, taco and enchilada plus sides of rice and beans. Outstanding service as well. Attentive service but not overly so. Server & musicians were considerate of two children in our party. A nice feature if this restaurant is that the tables are nicely spaced so diners do not feel that they are sitting too close to one another. And the house margaritas are excellent!
Very good overall. Food was very good. Service great. Very friendly. Margarita 1/2 pitcher seemed a little weak. Live Mariachi music was fun but extremely loud. I don't think they have the music all the time though. I would certainly go back.
Mariachi never disappoints! If they updated the interior it would literally be unbeatable.
My family has been to Mariachis many times and we love it. They offer Mexican and Spanish cuisine and everything is made with care. Definitely try their carne asada or the Camerones Azteca.
And, the service is great. Attentive and very nice.
Open Table allowed us to make a reservation for 11:15a on Mother's Day. The restaurant doesn't open on Sundays until 11:30a so the doors were locked. Needless to say we left
As always, the food is very good, never wait to long to be seated, but the service could be better. They always seem to be a bit overwhelmed on busy nights.
Great experience! The folks at Mariachi are attentive, and the food is top notch.
Was Surprised with the check! Expected a much higher bill for a party of 5....
We will be back
Waited for 40 minutes despite reservation. Nobody there can speak English well enough to make the dinner worth while. My beef burrito was way too salty.
I was very disappointed. I found this restaurant on open table and made reservations through same as I have an allergy and prefer to alert the kitchen. We went on cinco de mayo after lunch hour. They did not acknowledge myopen table reservation, nor did any of the staff.
Because we asked for more time to order and work throug my allergy, the staff vanished for long periods.
The food was as served mediocre. We ordered the chorizo fondu appetizer, which came only moments before our meal. It was a lump of barely warm cheese , did not have chorizo (was the same as beef filling in enchiladas) and only had three tortillas for two people. Advertised as spicy, but not. The staff did not appear for 10 minutes, so hard to complain. We ordered rellenos off the dinner menu because it was not on a lunch menu. One had seeds and stem, the other did not.
Will seek Frederick Mexican elsewhere.
The food is excellent and one of our favorite restaurants.
We love this restaurant! This time we booked through Open Table and I had changed the reservation from 6 to 8 people a week in advance, but it was not noted at the restaurant.
Outstanding as usual. Great service, tasty specials, comfortable table, attentive manager.
Nice place and service. Found the food to be a bit bland, maybe because it is kid friendly they may keep the spice down for that.....
It was a very enjoyable meal. Excellent service and very friendly atmosphere
This unassuming local gem has a menu that includes Mexican, Spanish and Portuguese options, some vegetarian, and great fish-based dishes. I'm not a fan of Mexican food unless it's authentic, so usually don't dine at restaurants that feature mexican or Tex-Mex menus. On good friends' recommendation, I ventured with them to Mariachi's and (yes) ordered from the Mexican menu. With great surprise, the enchiladas were very good - amply stuffed with shredded chicken. The plate comes with pinto beans, not refried beans. That's all right; they were delicious! The rice was done perfectly (not mushy), and the sour cream was true sour cream (not a mix of yogurt or milk).
Next time, I'll order the mussels done spanish style, and possibly some Paella - that is, if they will omit any squid. (I consider squid as bait, not fit for humans.)
One note of caution... When dining out anywhere, you are relying on the kitchen staff who often are paid meager wages and who are tasked to prep the food in a hurry. Be careful to chew your food thoroughly; don't wolf! Better to be safe. I found a little checken bone in the enchilada shredded chicken filling. Not a happy find, but clearly this is not a common occurrence. Customers would not tolerate this and the place was packed; tables turning over every 1/2 hour! My guess is this was an anomaly, borne from an overburdened kitchen. Management take note - and don't beat up your workers - hire more of them to serve your growing needs.
Very good food and service as usual. We always appreciate the crisp cloth napkins.
Great meal. Service was excellent.
A wonderful surprise during our visit to Frederick! We took a chance from Open Table ratings and it paid off! Service welcoming and gracious. Food excellent. Very fresh flavors. Wish we lived closer as this would be a place we would frequent a lot!
Went for the wife's birthday. Very noisy, but also packed. Usually pretty quiet. Service is always good and the food is always excellent. One of our favorite places to have a group meal. Usually come with 8-12 people, everyone has something they like
One of our favorites in Frederick, and that's saying a lot. There are dozens and dozens of great restaurants in Frederick. We love the Mexican style food here, the great service, reasonable prices. Never had a disappointing experience here and we've gone a couple of dozen times over the last 2-3 years.
It was a family celebration held mid afternoon on a Sunday. The staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was outstanding, especially the paella for one. I'll be back!
For Frederick, the food is pretty good but nothing compared to what one would find in DC. Our server was sweet but not very skilled. We went there just because it was just about the only thing open on Christmas day and probably won't be returning.
The food was great , great service with a smile, all staff greeted us and smiled, a lovely atmosphere, happy people, holiday festive decorations!
Mariachis one of our favorite restaurants in Frederick.
Great service from Lorena every time! Amazing authentic Mexican and Spanish dishes! Love the guacamole for 2 appetizer and the tamales! Family owned business
Taste of food was very good! Our service was not. The waiter was pleasant but not on top of things. Took quite a bit to be noticed after being seated as well as getting our plates cleaned up after finishing (Waiter was seen sitting down with another waitress at a table near the bar). Other than that the food was very good. Will def. be back.
Very average mexican resturante. Nothing to write home about.
Uncle Bens rice was very non mexican
