We arrived 15 mins early for our reservation, and decided then to eat at the bar because there was not a table ready yet.
The service by the bartenders was top notch!
I am always impressed with my dining experience here.

Group date night. The organizer is the only one that knows the dinner location and activity. Margaux’s was a hit!

Our experience was outstanding. However, the noise level was difficult. We had 10 people and the ones at one end of the table couldn't hear the conversation at the other end. The seating could have been better. Our table was pushed back against a wall and hard to climb over each other to get in or out. Maybe a round table or square would have been better. Next time I will request outside seating. The crab cakes were outstanding and the shrimp was excellent. Our waitress, Melanie, was top notch!

Had the 24.95 3 course special. The steak was terrible ( full of gristle). They comped the meal but I certainly would have rather had a great meal because it was a birthday celebration

Perfect seating for date night, by the fireplace. Always a very knowledgeable and friendly staff to guide your choices, and there are many great choices. Add flair with a designer cocktail. As always the 3 cource prix fixe menu is very attractive. However the Grilled Filet of Beef with wild mushroom & Gruyere bread pudding is outstanding. Just loved that pudding!

A great night as always!

A great 1st time at Margaux's. Cocktails mixed perfectly, 3 out of 4 entrees were perfect, the over done fillet was returned immediately, and made perfect, and a very wonderful energetic waitress, and reasonably priced menu, made this a restaurant we will return to.

The experience overall was alright. The decor was very eclectic and the atmosphere a bit noisy for a Monday night. We went to celebrate our 8 year anniversary and my fiancé got the menu prix fixe which was a good deal for a three course meal. I chose to order a la carte and got the fried mushrooms and a pasta dish. The bread was delicious as was the appetizer, the pasta was alright. My fiancé ate all his food, so I’m guessing it was good. The only negatives of our visit is that when we were seated we sat for probably 15-20mins before our server finally took our order. We’re not inpatient people so we didn’t make a fuss about it. After placing our order when my entree came out it was not what I ordered. My partner started eating and was about halfway done with his meal by the time I got my correct dish. When the bill came I noticed that I had been charged for the first dish that was brought out instead of what I had ordered. Again, I didn’t make a fuss as it was only a 2 dollar difference. So all in all food was good, loud atmosphere and the service was mediocre. I’d recommend it but don’t go in with high expectations.

They know how to cook seafood. Very disappointing to be seated in dead area probably meant for overload and large groups - no atmosphere, very cold.
Over dressed salad, meager bone marrow serving, poor bread. Paid too much for this.

While we all agreed the decor is hideous (it's dark, dungeon like with weird mismatched stuff going on all over, and what's with the weapons on the outside of the door?) and the noise level sky high, we all REALLY enjoyed the food and the service. Three of the people in our party were celebrating birthdays that week. I was asked when we made the resi if we were celebrating anything and I stated we were (and what) when I made the resi. Neither the hostess or the server acknowledged that at all. We didn't make a fuss - some restaurants don't do anything. But then why ask about that when people make resis?

Food was so good, we will definitely be back.

Margaux's provides consistently good food and good service. Thankful they installed carpet some time ago, as the noise use to be unbearable. Tables are close, and it's very open, so it's still pretty noisy once the restaurant fills with patrons. I appreciate the rotating local artwork throughout the restaurant. Specials at the bar or the 3-course fixed price meal offer good value, but other prices are quite high for the quality and quantity.

We are regulars at Margaux's and really enjoy their menu as it is a good blend of new dishes with some tried and true favorites. What really makes the restaurant is their staff. There are high levels of attention to detail and the customer service is top notch.

This place was so good. The prices are a little high but the food was amazing. I got the 3 course meal and each course was amazing. The lighting in here was perfect and the noise level was okay. It is definitely not a place to bring children though. I highly recommend and will be returning.

We love the prix fixe menu and it was a great deal early on a Friday evening. Our server was wonderful and even remembered us from our last visit, which was awhile ago. We were still talking about the meal the next day. Great experience and I will be back next weekend!

The food was very good all the way around but I found it skimpy to only get 4 shrimp on my entree. It was overdone with spinach. I enjoyed my food but the chef needs to improve featured ingredient amount. Great bread and dessert. Special touches were noted.

There was a few things that lowered our rating: There was four of us and most of our meals were wonderful however a filet ordered medium was far beyond well. It was a rare storm night and the room was empty when we entered yet the service staff put the four of us in a VERY tight table in the center of the walkway (why??). The restaurant was far from full... For some reason a request to change tables upset our waitress?? From the table move on she appeared agitated and bothered. It was a reasonable ask, on a crappie night and we could have cancelled yet we were in the restaurant trying to enjoy a dinner out. Not sure why we were "punished" for a normal request.

If i had to sum up with one word: mediocre. Salmon was over done, both cooking time and seasoning...super salty. Crab cake appetizer: the cakes themselves were very thin with a lot of breading and deep fried, they were ok bit the chow chow served underneath it was vinegar overload. Waitor brought the wrong wine out but was very nice and fixed once I figured it out.

Just didn’t love the food and on top was super loud and hard to hear yourself talk or think

Dined at Margaux's last Sat night with my wife. A last minute reservation still netted us a good table. Service was attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious and presented well. Overall we had a great time, although the noise level was a bit on the loud side. Can't wait to dine there again.

We were celebrating our Valentine’s Day and have been wanting to try Margaux’s for a long time. We had heard about how great they were so we made a reservation for 7:30pm about 6 weeks in advance. We got to the restaurant about 7:15 and we didn’t get seated until probably 7:45-7:50 (so definitely make a reservation but do plan to wait past your reserved time).

While the hostesses were stressed and a bit frazzled (don’t blame them, it was crazy busy), the food was beyond incredible. The flavors were bold, exciting and really played well with one another. We stared with the escargot and spring rolls, had the scallops and swordfish for dinner and ended with the chocolate raspberry cheesecake for him and the sorbet for me. My scallops with the sweet potato mash definitely were the best of the evening - cooked beautifully and the sweet potato mash was a perfect pairing.

The only downside (to NO fault of the restaurant) was this OBNOXIOUSLY DRUNK table of 6 next to us. My fiancé and I couldn’t even hear one another because they were so loud - other patrons were clearly annoyed as well. Quite frankly, I felt bad for the waitress - I think the management should have helped her out and cut them off because there was NOT ONE person that should have been driving.

All in all - we would go back but probably during the week because the weekend was just far too busy and loud.
