We met here for Saturday brunch with family and we enjoyed the food and service. My husband and Mom really liked their bloody Mary cocktails.
Very nice. Good food and service. We enjoyed ourselves.
Was a bit leery by how empty the place was but lucky us, it turned out to be a god send! Great cocktails with good food and the ability to have great conversation without trying to talk louder than the next table.
It was nice to see Lamb Bolognese on the menu and it did not disappoint. Wild Salmon with Polenta was fair but really enjoyed the polenta!
Service was excellent!
Would keep it on my travel restaurant list next time I’m town!
A group of friends who grew up together in NY and all moved to Seattle 30 to 40 years ago have lunch here once a month. The staff is friendly, the food is good and no one cares if we occasionally laugh out loud like the teenagers we once were.
This food was tasteless and overpriced. The pork chops were tasteless, rib eye was awful and so was the salmon.
Pretty good, but pricey
Fantastic little hotel restaurant and bar. I make it a point to stop in here for a few drinks before going across the street to see a movie at the Cineramma. It’s practically a tradition.
When I walked in I was worried I made a bad choice; the furniture, dishes, and ambiance looked dated, and I was worried the food would be too. However, the food was great, and the service was even better. The clam chowder was delicious and the steak frites was amazing. I'd probably go back if I'm in that area just for the friendly staff alone. Great NYE experience. Thank you!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Margaux. We had a party of 8 and it was New Year’s Eve but the server did a great job of keeping on top of our needs. The food was excellent.
Christmas dinner, away from home for the first time during the holidays. Margaux provided a friendly and inviting atmosphere and an outstanding meal. Picked from a small group of resturaunts serving on Christmas, it proved to be a lucky choice. Highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.
My only complaint was that I had made a reservation but still was required to wait for more than 30 minutes to be seated.
Good food, friendly waitress- I had a 5.00 coupon from the hotel- forgot to use it/ they should ask if you are staying at the hotel to prompt the coupon! I saw others had forgotten their too. - breakfast the next morning - too pricey, but it was convenient!
Birthday brunch, options for my gluten-free and vegetarian friends, and the bananas foster French toast with vanilla ice cream was a delicious birthday treat.
Staff were excellent, fish & chips delicious & a great selection of drinks. Price reasonable for portion sizes & there's also a great happy hour in the bar for food & drinks - tapas was 3 for the price of 2 so keen to go back & sample
Stopped in to celebrate our engagement. Shared two small plates and a bottle of wine. The waitress was bubbly and genuine. Great experience!
We went to this restaurant because I found it on Passport. I looked into reviews and found mixed ones, I decided to be optimistic and go for it. We were very disappointed the amount it cost was not worth the value of the food.
My first coffee cup was dirty. The second cup had something black floating, it was likely grounds, but at this point, I couldn't chance it. I tried the chicken and waffle. The chicken was a flattened and breaded piece of meat. I was a bit shocked by the processed meat and upon taste, my opinion did not change. The flavor was off. The waffle was fine. I later regretted eating that chicken, as I had an upset system.
I wanted to like this place as it's across the street from Cinerama. No, keep walking.
We went for thanksgiving dinner and it was great. Nice selection, great service.
We went for the Thanksgiving meal and it was truly spectacular, we're still talking about it a week later! Will definitely be returning next year!
We went for Seattle's Restaurant week tonight and we were pretty disappointed with Margaux. The prix fixe menu at $33 is fine but the caesar salad was mediocre and the salmon was terribly salty and just not very good. The creme brûlée was excellent. The waiter, Brandy, was lovely but overworked so we had to wait for water refills. Our biggest complaint was that they add a 3.8% service charge to the menu for no obvious reason. It does not go to the servers. So they just raised their prices. We won't be back.
Good was OK but the service was exceptional. The Paella was a bit overcooked especially the rice.
Dinner was really great, as was breakfasts. Especially the avocado toast! Coffee is delicious.
We made a Saturday dinner reservation for 7:00 PM following the Symphony season opening night. It was clear at intermission the show was going to run longer than expected. With a call to Margaux, I was able to change our reservation to 7:30.
Our meal was outstanding and service was very attentive by our server Brandy. Can't wait to return.
We came in with an hour and a half to spend for breakfast. The dining room wasn't very busy, there were tables available, and we were told by the hostess that we would have to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated, even though we had reservations. After we were seated, we ordered our meal, after we waited an additional 10 minutes. After 45 minutes and all others that came in after us ate and left I had to go find our waitress to tell her again what we ordered. We ran out of time and we finally got our food. The hostess very coarselly told us that our meal was free and we inhaled our food, that was very good, and ran to meet our driver. The food was good, the service was terrible.
Very high quality and fine cuisine. The fish was unbelievably delicious. I could eat here every night.
Decent food. Empty restaurant. It didn't make us feel special to be there.
What a delicious dinner in an elegant upscale setting. The paella was especially good and the portobello mushroom gratin was exceptional. Service was solicitous without being oppressive. The bar drinks, terrific.
We've always enjoyed Margaux; and we still love it for meeting friends. They have great cocktails and it is quiet so you can really talk and you are never rushed. However, the prices have really escalated in the last year and it is almost out of reach for a simple night out or meal before a movie at Cinerama across the street. And, it's not quite a special occasion restaurant. I'm sure we'll keep going back...but not as often as we used too.
Breakfast for 8 with out of town relatives worked well here. It wasn't crowded or noisy so we really could visit from one end of the table to the other. The hostess and waitress were lovely and friendly.
Food was good, service was slow. Good place to go when you're not on a time limit.
We ate here for breakfast. Pancakes were delicious. Reasonable portions and cost. Nothing fancy but that was exactly what we were looking for with a 10 year old in our group. Fantastic service!
The service is never great at this place. But they also always appear to be understaffed, even for a small number of customers. I waited to be seated. Nobody ever came to seat me. So I seated myself at the bar instead. The bartender was busy waiting tables.
Our food was amazing. The sauce on the Steak Frites was outstanding. I even stole some for my ribeye. Very nice, date restaurant. Service was great and friendly. Would definitely come back if we end up in Seattle for another extended stay.
The balance of quality and price was perfect. My wife and I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and quality food.
THis is my favorite place for special dinner before symphony or concert or play
This is a hotel restaurant average quality food. My "grilled" chicken cobb, was fried chicken. Think Applebees or slightly lower.
Delicious food, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. We really enjoyed our dinner.
Went for New Year's eve, and overall it was a great experience! Had the mushroom risotto to start off with- excellent flavor. Portobello as a main course, cooked to perfection. A friend had the pork that was slightly dry, but the flavor was excellent. Healthy portions. The staff seemed a little frenzied- granted it was New Years Eve. Bread cutting station was odd- staff has to slice each piece of bread that each table starts with. Overall a great experience!
Christmas Eve dinner
Great old style restaurant, real cozy with great tasting food, right across the street from the cinerama:)
