Everything was delicious; service was attentive but not overbearing; the bartender was extra generous with the rum in our cocktails; we ordered just the right amount of food to enjoy ourselves without getting overstuffed. Great way to spend our last pre-quarantine evening out; let's hope Margaux is still there when restaurants reopen.
I guess we were expecting a better experience knowing the location and close it is to Jazz Alley. The hostess was wonderful the wait staff kind of underwhelming, had to wait a while to get a drink. The menu was limited I guess because of Valentines day so that was a bit of a bummer. It wasn't that busy in the restaurant so not sure why the limited menu. pricing was what you would expect but really we were kind of bummed with it. Kind of thought we should have just had dinner at Jazz alley.
We went here for their valentine dinner special. Most other restaurants were fully booked. The waitress asked how our food was before we even ate and did not refill our water at all. The food was average. Crab cake and chowder was very flavorful. My seafood with risotto had shells or sand that made some of my bites very unpleasant and difficult. My partner’s steak and broccoli were also average, broccoli did not have any seasoning, just boiled. We took our dessert to go, but the packaging was messy. For a $160 3 course meal for two, it was not worth it.
It was my son's 13th birthday. They treated him like royalty. On top of that, they seemed to actually be thrilled to do so. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting.
The bartender was nice; busy and still managed to be attentive. She went above and beyond to accommodate our party. Our server was rushing, no idea why. Although the bar area was full, there was literally no one else in the restaurant area. He was anxious and didn’t create a relaxing vibe.
The place is very nice, food delicious and drinks good. We have fish tacos, coconut shrimp and ahi tuna. All tasty and priced ok considering this is downtown Seattle.
Good HH from 4-7. Parking is validated.

We booked this reservation coming from the Tri Cities. After I booked I specifically called to make sure we could order off the menu and was told yes. It was buffet.
Our reservation was for 6.45 and the service staff were more interested in setting up for the breakfast service than looking after our table of 9. We had to ask for plates to be cleared.
We would not book at this resturant again.
I felt the offerings were standard nothing inspiring during the thanksgiving meal the turkey was dry sadly
Just had Thanksgiving dinner for three at the Margaux. Service was smooth, friendly, and attentive. Excellent selection of quality dishes. Very much appreciate them working on Thanksgiving so that I don’t have to. Will very likely be back, and will definitely recommend to others.
Dinner for two for Thanksgiving evening. Very nicely displayed and very tasty. Exceptionally good for a buffet and holiday meal.
They have a really great intimate, very well done buffet for Thanksgiving. The staff is always very kind, provides excellent service, and seem to recognize us when we come back. We've been coming here for several years and Margaux never disappoints.
We went for Thanksgiving buffet, which was great for our multi-generational family. Lots of options (turkey, beef, ham) and the usual sides (savory and sweet potatoes, stuffing, and two green vegetables). Simple dessert bar, which was sufficient. A few salads too. Overall a good option for us.
The food was good, attractively laid out, fresh. Turkey and ham could be easily cut with just a fork. People were friendly and welcoming. It was a nice Thanksgiving meal.
The new lunch menu has something for everyone, and it's all good!
Despite booking, and the restaurant being very quiet, we were pointedly ignored in favour of other diners, hence after quarter of an hour we left - no apology. Don’t know the reason. Excellent service and food at the Dahlia across the road.

The evening and dinner at Margaux was perfection from the moment we entered the restaurant to the last bite of dessert.
New lunch menu (as of July 2019) offers a wider variety of quality options at a very reasonable price. Service is friendly and fast.
This restaurant was awesome. I have no complaints only lots of thanks for an exceptional experience.
My spouse and I enjoyed a quiet evening dining in Margaux. Our only concern is the annoying marquis sign across the street, "CINERAMA". It makes no sense at all to have that sign facing the hotel when it should be facing up and down the street instead. This same sign also comes into play in our room, 311. Probably not much you can do except to ask the owners to re-align it.
Fish selections were small and not tastey
My salad was limp and soggy. Fish and chips were mediocre. Décor felt old and tired. My partner thought his food was meh (Caesar salad, salmon entrée). Apple tart was not good, but the ice cream on the side was very good. On the upside, this was a quiet restaurant, which gets harder and harder to find these days.
I was with three friends. While my selection was very well-prepared and tasty, they all rated theirs as so-so, acceptable, good, but nothing special.
The dinner special which included 3 courses was an excellent value!
Made online reservations for breakfast to find out that they were closed for a special event. They were very nice though and sat us in the lobby area so we can still have breakfast. Service was OK only because we were separated. The waiter tried to check on us as much as she could. The food totally made up for the experience. It was a great breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly.
Thank you for being flexible on timing for our large party and for treating our out of town guests with class and style. Margaux is one of the hidden gems in Seattle.
Slow service, despite half full. Had to send cold food back.
My kids and I were served rancid French toast. I ended up puking all day and had to cut our trip short and come home early. They took the charges off our check so that was good but it doesn’t make up for how sick I got. We made it back to Portland and I wasn’t able to get out of bed except to go to the bathroom for 2 days. Do not recommend.
There were a few red flags from the get go...there was no one in the restaurant when we checked in. Then when I ordered my classic cocktail they didn’t know what it was so I quickly changed it to a gin and tonic. When our drinks were delivered the poor waiter accidentally knocked over my water glass all over me. Fortunately the well worn polyester napkin on my lap rescued my clothes and only my shoes were a bit damp. He profusely apologized and brought a towel to help clean up and then comped us dessert. Too bad the dessert was undercooked as a Granny Smith Apple crumble.
So what was good? The bread and butter were amazing. My gin and tonic was decent. The salmon was nicely cooked. The waiter was very sweet. But it was not enough for a return visit.
Delicious food and fast attentive service complemented a relaxing, casual ambiance.
My granddaughter would appreciate more vegetarian options.
We'll be back.
They are not open for lunch
Before discussing the food, let's just consider the 4% service charge that is NOT shared with staff. JUST INCREASE THE LISTED PRICES BY 4% INSTEAD OF BEING SO SHADY! I knew it was coming, but it is such an insult to not share a service charge with the service staff. That alone is enough reason to never return. Though, we were given plenty of reason to stay away. The corned beef "hash" was awful. Chunks of beef that were too acidic paired with a tangy hollandaise stung mouths cut up from stale bread toasted to the point of being painful to eat. The potatoes in the "hash" were undercooked. And both the meat and potatoes were cut too large to get a mix of both in a single bite. For the crab benedict, the crab was completely overpowered by the hollandaise. I ordered an orange juice and never received it.
I took a party of 8 here for a business dinner. Food, drinks, dessert were all very good. Our waiter appeared to be THE waiter for the bar and restaurant, so there was a bit of waiting around. Other than that, excellent.
Such an under-valued gem right in the middle of the city! The menu has a good variety of food & the service is superb!
This was our first visit which was a great experience. We will certainly be back when we visit Seattle again 😊
Great food and service. But unexpected and unheard of service charge not ok.
We had been to Margaux before but it had been a while. We started with French Onion soup and a wedge salad which were both excellent. My wife had the ribeye and I had the seafood paella. My wife's steak was cooked just how she likes it and my paella was delicious. The snap peas on both of our plates were fresh and delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. The lone blotch on the night was this out of date/stock wine list when we settled on the 4th wine we ordered.
Really enjoyed this place with my husband for our anniversary. So we invited our daughter and her boyfriend to join us our second time dining here before we went to the theater.
Love the food and the ambiance.

We had lunch here on a rainy day right after Thanksgiving. We got there at 12:15pm. There were no people eating in there. We were the only people the whole time we were there. We had perfect service.
My husband had mussels and I had the kabobs. Everything was delicious. I don't know why no one was there because its very good food moderately priced for the city. It is part of the Warwick Hotel, maybe that is why?
The hostess/waitress did not acknowledge our reservation (we were celebrating a birthday and left instructions at the time of reservation) and never addressed the celebrant or did anything special for him.
She was pregnant so I excused the slow service but I will not excuse her being rude and indifferent.
