Margaret Kuo's - Media
excellent very friendly need to go back
love the atmosphere
I had high expectations for this restaurant. Friends and reviews told me that it would be a solid choice. I took my mom here for mother's day and the restaurant wasn't crowded. Drinks were overall good, I had a lychee martini. The waiter was friendly. That is all the good I can say. The food was below average. Our appetizers came out at different times and we even received the wrong appetizer initially. All the hot dishes came out luke warm. Taste was so so. They also kept running out of ingredients - my table they didn't have a sake I asked for and the table sitting next to me, they didn't have shrimp. It also took a long time to receive our barely warm dishes. My sister received her dinner 15 to 20 mins before the rest of us received our dinner. Overall, I would not return. I don't know if they were having an off night or if this is how they operate, but it did not leave a favorable impression.
Food was excellent and service was just as good. Three of us had hot meals and one had sushi. Everything was presented well and we were all please with our selections. Would recommend to others.
Desperately needs updating. Not the same experience as the Wayne location.
The food was wonderful! The staff was friendly and efficient.
The service and food of this location has lost all reason to go here. We waited 15 minutes to be seated when the place was visibly empty. Once seated it took 25 minutes to get our drinks. Food was hastily prepared and tasteless. Azie across the street is the place to go instead.
Authentic food that includes subtle but wonderful flavors.
All of our dishes were excellent and we appreciated the curtains between tables which gave us a sense of privacy. Our server was extremely efficient and friendly, and our food was served in a very reasonable time with all three of us receiving our dinners at approximately the same time (does not always happen at some restaurants). Although we usually opt for BYOB we felt that our wine selections were good and reasonably priced. We are making plans to return soon.
Great time!!!! Service was wonderful. I would highly recommend to all my friends and family.
Best Asian food in Delaware County. We really like that it’s BYO Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.
Margaret Kuo's is always consistent in terms of food, service and ambiance. It is our go to Chinese restaurant.
The food and service is always very good. I especially love their sushi. At my most recent visit we were served complimentary hot tea. I have been there many times yet this is the first time I was served hot tea. I was delicious and I'm hoping to get it again the next time.
I think MK has peaked and the slide has begun.
From grazing on a couple of appetizers to a romantic night out - we always enjoy Margaret Kuo's. This time around the Kung Pao Chicken was amazing, with just the right heat. The portions are good - we shared the Kung Pao Chicken and Pork Fried Rice and still had a meal to take home. The ambiance is relaxed and intimate. They may valentines day delicious.
Loved the food and service, can't wait to try more of the menu. The dinning room got a little drafty when the front door was open for long periods.
Perfect place - wonderful food - great service. Except for the kid watching cartoons two tables down. Management should have asked them to turn it down or off. :-)
We were a party of 6 African American females and we noticed the other group across from us that wasnt African American recieved way better service than us. They quickly brought the check without offering us a dessert menu but offered the other group a dessert menu and it took super long to get our food and we were seated 1st. I was deeply disappointed in the service and will never return because of it. It was very noticeable by my party we were treated rude and unfair.
My sister and I went here for a holiday dinner together. Food and service was great but other people do not know how to use their inside voices. Some lady was so loud that the whole place could hear her conversation. Not the restaurant’s fault at all. Will go back❤️
We went to dinner asked for drink menu... I ordered a drink my wife wasn’t ready they still took the menu.
Asked for extra plate when large bowl of shrimp with lobster sauce came out they brought over dirty plate!
Seemed like it was a slow night and they wanted us to leave!!
We have been eating at Margaret Kuo’s restaurants for 30 plus years. When Peking closed we started to go to Kuo’s in Media. I was appalled by the darkness and lack of hostess when we arrived. We had a new waitress who tried very hard but mistakes were made, but was really bothered me was how filthy dirty the place has become. And it was cold inside so some of us kept our coats on. Not a pleasant experience.
Good lunch specials with pricing that is still a bit high
Usual outstanding food, good service, large servings with enough to take home for leftovers. Friendly courteous and efficient servers
The food is a absolutely amazing!
The food is excellent, varied, and reasonably priced. The servers are extremely attentive.
SERVICE WAS AWFUL AND UNFRIENDLY. The food is fine, but who cares when the waiter was not attentive, not friendly, messes up without an apology and the manager was rude. They tried to decline my open table reward which was booked appropriately through open table and I had the reward certificate specific for that restaurant. They feigned they needed a physical MasterCard not the printed reward. I had to show them how to use and even after they were unapologetic and would have not honored the reward had I not demanded they do so.
Food was very good. Service was attentive. Restaurant was quiet which made for good conversation with family visiting from out of town. My brother appreciated the availability of Peking Duck that he can't get at home.
Great suchi and Japanese cuisine. The best Peking duck.
Great food, interesting menu, varied choices. Will be back
Good food, but appalling service (not the waiter's fault). For a birthday reservation, the person greeting people, on the phone, pointed to a crowded room, where it not obvious at all where we were supposed to sit. We were given a table, and after 25 minutes, I found a pitcher of water on a side table and poured us some water. We waited a good 40 minutes to place our order. One waiter had the entire restaurant to himself (someone called in sick, and they had no backup, and no plan, and only informed us of this well into the meal). You can't try to be a restaurant with gourmet and service pretensions and treat your customers this way.
We went to the Media Theatre afterwards and really liked that same-day-theatre discount the restaurant offered. We were glad that we picked up the tickets first, though, since we had to show them when our bill came. The food, as always was excellent. There didn't appear to be any hot tea service, however. I was disappointed in that, but the rest of the meal and the service was great!
Food was very fresh. Service was excellent
Always think the food is priced a bit too high. Portion size is good but not a good place for a small lunch on Sunday.
Chicken and broccoli was the best option along with hot and sour soup
Manager was a sweetheart... everyone attentive...
Food was very bland, not much flavor like usual, was disappointed overall
Excellent service and food. The chicken moo shu was amazing.
The only problem is that the toilet in the women's room did not flush, which I expect they took care of promptly.
Food was great and staff were helpful.
Been here before & always delish.
Had shrimp dish & cucumbers for appetizer..no idea how they made them, never got excited over cucumbers..they were good & spicy
Always a terrific meal
I have been a customer for decades. The food is always top tier and the atmosphere warm and friendly. :)
Outstanding! And the staff is so very kind
