I have always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at this neighborhood Murray Hill restaurant. However, my complaint is, and always was, the same. The restaurant pushes its specials but does not inform the diner of the price of their specials--and those specials, even the pasta dishes, are in the $40 range. This is unfair, and I therefore cannot recommend it to friends or to any astute diners. If I did, I would be certain to receive a complaint from them. My advice is to stick to the menu or to ask about the price--not always easy if one is on a date.

We were seated at back of restaurant where the smell of cheap disinfectant cleaning product (not bleach-probably Fabuloso) was overwhelming. Wrecked whole meal/food experience, really. Huge lagtimes between appearances by waiter on a very slow night, who then disappeared at end of meal. To finally get our bill, I had to walk into kitchen entry to get attention of what seemed like whole staff hanging out in kitchen. Then, overpriced for what we had. Not great. Restaurant seems to have slipped, sadly. Or maybe just an off night, hopefully!!

Marcony is one of the best restaurants in the city, expensive but worth it!! Excellent service, modern and cozy decor , the food is just delicious !! Exquisite !

First time at this restaurant. had an early reservation (6:00) and was a bit concerned that no one else was in the restaurant when we entered, and during our entire dinner. However, food was good and there was a good selection. Biggest issue was that the waiter came out and told us of the specials, which we ordered an appetizer and entrée. However, the prices for the specials were basically double those of the items on the menu, and the waiter never mentioned the prices, so I was a bit shocked when I got the bill. Lesson learned.

My husband and I consider this restaurant fine dining and eat here as often as possible. They have an amazing menu, and somehow are always able to make anything we want. Marcony is a must for foodies, special occasions, an important date night, etc. The service is exquisite and, Marco, the owner, is always there. We can't recommend this restaurant enough. You will love it.

My first time here and it was WONDERFUL!!! Service was excellent, food outstanding, beautiful decor, fair prices,,,,, great experience!

Not half as good as the restaurant thinks it is. Waiter pushed a $55. Special that was less than mediocre. Requested water 4 times over the course of one hour before it was served. Other dish over sauced. Entire experience very disappointing.

I eat here about once a month. The food is always good and reasonably priced. However- this weekend I feel taken advantage of. Our server told us about the specials. Fra Diablo sauce is my favorite. What was not explained by the server was that it contained shellfish. My dinner companion is highly allergic. Only when we ordered red wine did the server say wouldn’t you prefer white wine with fish? We were both surprised. The chef accommodated the request to be fair. However, when the check came the Fra Diablo was $55 each. That price was ridiculous. Especially since one of us didn’t have the shellfish. So, Marconey- it will be a while before we return if ever at all. The server should have explained the dish and cost at the time of ordering. Thanks

Wonderful experience at Marcony. This is a gem in NYC that shouldn't be missed. The cocktails, food, service and ambiance make for a perfect evening.

We were very impressed with the level of service. Patricio was very professional, also an excellent and experienced host. The food was tasty and interesting. Handmade pastas were terrific and well seasoned. The special octopus salad was cook to perfection and delicious. The duck was extraordinary , all different and interesting textures and flavors. Dessert homemade ginger ice cream SENSATIONAL! We will be back soon!

Impeccable service, great ambiance and wonderfully creative Italian food. We very much enjoyed our experience although it was definitely on the high end pricewise especially alcohol.

Sophisticated menu with some very high quality traditional Italian items and just the right number of surprises and innovations. I went for the traditional with a pumpkin ravioli, with bacon sprinkled on top and a fabulous buttery sauce. Squash ravioli is a fairly common seasonal Italian menu item, but I guess the pumpkin spin was a little bit of an American innovation. The homemade pasta was great and the seasoning was perfectly balanced. It showed the mark of a confident chef who emphasizes balance and sophistication over flashy trendiness.

Good food, but overpriced. Wine list terribly overpriced. Considering the price, they do not properly pour the wine. White wine should not be poured to fill a glass but should be given a chilling bucket and poured in a manner which allows it to stay cold.

We had a great time and especially loved the intimate environment at Marcony. How refreshing to dine where you can actually hear your companions talk! Wonderful service by gracious folks, and the food was fantastic. We had a perfect round table for 6, and appreciated how special we were made to feel. Can’t wait to come back again soon.

AMAZING food! My husband and I were in New York for a few days and ate here twice because it was so good! Nothing can beat true homemade Italian pasta dishes...and we have been to Italy and this place reminded us of just that. The appetizers were outstanding as well!

First time here and the whole experience was a pleasant surprise. Quaint, clean and excellent service! Very welcoming. Food seemed to be authentic homemade italian and some American. Everything we had was great. Good wine list. Prices reasonable for NYC. Would highly recommend anyone to partake.
