I've been to a few brunches in my life and this Mother's Day brunch was one of the best that I have experienced. The food was very good, the staff was funny and on task. The drinks were tasty and included. The room was well lit for me and not too crowded with all the attendees. We had a wonderful time and would come again.
The menu is strange. It is a mix of Italian/Asian fusion. I just couldn't get into that. I asked my waitress to modify a meal for me and she promptly got someone for me to talk with. They were more than happy to modify the meal to what I wanted. It was very popular place and the staff was super accommodating. I just couldn't get into the menu.
Excellent service and really good interesting meals, cannot wait to return to try more menu options!
The restaurant was a little understaffed but it made up for the food. This is my new favorite place. Cannot wait to try new dishes
Excellent choice to try something different. Service was impeccable!
Was there during their blackout - servers were great - but i think management should have been a bit more generous
I went here with my gf for a date night and the food was amazing! So many options that all looked delicious. Our server was very nice and attentive. I definitely recommend this place to anyone!
It’s advertised as a separate restaurant but it’s really just the tables in the bar area. Service was acceptable, food was delicious, but it’s just tables in a hotel bar (it is very elegantly decorated, not a dive bar). Prices were great and the portions were huge. We had an enjoyable meal, sat at the bar after dinner for a drink, staff was very nice and social.
I expect italian food but it was asian mixed Americans food
But it was terrible
Excellent service and food! Kid-friendly. Highly recommend!
From start to finish it took 2 hours to completing the entire meal. Had to ask for additional knives, had to keep forks from one meal to the next. Not once did our server come over and apologize for the delays. Then they added the tip on top of all this. I explained everything that was wrong and the tip was removed. We left a decent tip, but not what they were suggesting. The servers spent more time talking to each other than taking care of the customers. It was empty when we got there, so there was no excuse for it being 2 hours.
Also, I originally sat in a defective chair and was given a new one. That defective chair was moved to the next table, and the server said they would remove it. They never did, but they just kept it at the table and a couple sat there but not in that chair. It should have been removed and placed to the side with a note it was defective.
It’s not a restaurant, it’s more like a lounge. There are some tables around the bar area. The service was good n the food was ok.
I've been to this restaurant before and the food has always been good. This review is when I visited during restaurant week. The food portion size was on the light side. It was very tasty, but the portions could have been a little bigger. We could not getter the waiter's attention after he served us 1/4 of a glass of wine. We saw the bartender empty the bottle and there was clearly less than the normal amount in the glass. The waiter brought it anyway. I wound up taking a photo, just in case he did not believe me! After 10 minutes, we finally got the waiters attention, yes, he was avoiding us... and he finally came over. He did bring a small vat with more wine. Why couldn't he just have done the right thing in the first place? In addition, he never came over with the check. We went to the bar and paid.
It's just a lack of caring. There are plenty of places to eat on Long Island where the service and food are better.
Oh, and to top it off, Viana Hotel should not be surprised if they wind up with busted pipes this winter. I went into the ladies room before we left & it was freezing. I went over to the window, drew the blind and saw the window was open! I closed the window and went to the front desk. There was a woman there, sipping her tea. When I told her the window was open in the ladies room & I closed it, but she should double check, she said she would have the maintenance engineer go in and check. She went on to state to the effect, well, what's worse really, a smelly bathroom or a cold bathroom. Guess she doesn't own anything herself otherwise she would be a little more conscientious.
Won't be going back.
Great place for dining before a show at westbury music fair. Very accommodating staff, menu a bit limiting, great wine list
Food and service was AMAZING! It’s a little tiny, but service is impeccable and food is truly good. Focus on the different kind of eggrolls and finishe with the S’mores Eggroll. Will return!
I was there for their Thanksgiving Buffet. It didn't disappoint: turkey, cranberry sauce, dressing and all the traditional side dishes on the buffet. And the desserts were good too.
I haven't a clue about their regular menu, but for Thanksgiving dinner, it was very good.
Went for Thanksgiving Buffet. The food was excellent and very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. A wonderful experience all around. Would highly recommend
Thanksgiving buffet 2017. Next year maybe have two carving stations. One for prime rib at one for turkey.
It took our waitress, the very sweet Claudia, 45 min. to give us our entrees, and we did not order an appetizer. What a long wait!! The food was very good, as was the wine, but the noise level is the worst. We could barley hear ourselves talk. So noisy. The ambience is terrible, kind of like a train station.
The “restaurant” is just an extension of the bar. Not much seating or privacy. It can get very loud. We ordered burgers & it took quite a while. Just stick to the bar for drinks and go someplace else to eat.
We were a group of 3 couples, long time friends, enjoying a delicious meal.
Everything form appetizer to entree to dessert was perfect. The Italian / Asian fusion
is wonderfully executed.
Enjoyed the specialty cocktails too. We were able to enjoy the meal, good conversation, and never felt rushed. Will definitely be back and also recommend to others.
Went and had a good meal with good services stayed at hotel overnight and it was great having a great time
Very disappointing. I expected a restaurant; it was a small hotel lounge.
Lovely and friendly staff as soon as we walked in
Can’t fault it and I’m from the UK where we fault everything 😂😂
Very noisy!! However the food and presentation were very creative.
A nice place inside the Viana Hotel & Spa. It should be more crowded for the food quality and price.
I do recommend it!
Had the Philly Cheese Steak Eggrolls and the Teryaki Sirloin. The eggrolls were spectacular! You have to try the Wasabi Ranch dipping suace.
The Teryaki Sirloin was very good. The veggies with it could have used a bit of the teryaki sauce.
Desert was a tatufo, and it was delicious!
A nice red wine was followed by 15 year old Glenfiddich. A nice dinner.
We love Marco Polo for good food and drinks whenever we are in Westbury. It is convenient, unusual, good cocktails and wine, and do easy when we stay at Viana Hotel and Spa.
wait staff and service was beyond reproach. Food is just Eh.
We were there a year ago before the Asian influence change and it was tons better back them. Everyon of us had stomach issues the next day as well.
The hotel was wonderful. The Resturant was ok, but not up to the level of the hotel. Felt like we were in a corner of the lobby. Just didn't seem to have the flow of a Resturant to it. Felt more like a fast food type of setting. People were nice, but expected more because hotel so nice. Again, wasn't terrible, just average.
Try the eggroll medley. So tasty.
Been there a hand full of times now. Food always good, place is always noticeably dirty. It's not as if they are too busy, place is never busy. To top it off my wife's dish came out with 2 very long hairs mixed into her food on this visit. We didn't bring it to anyone's attention since this place is nestled in a hotel and it doesn't seem like the management aspires to make it anything other than just that...
Service was great! Food was ok...in reading the menu and description of the items we expected the food to have a blend of Asian and Italian flavors. The sweet, sour, savory was very much lacking. We were disappointed...
The fusion of Italian and Chinese sounds great in theory, but the execution simply fails miserably. Food is tasteless and mushy. For instance, we had the sampler egg roll platter. The Philly cheesesteak one and the chicken parmigiana all tasted the same! Flavors were instinct :(. And the price points were high for bland food.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty. However, getting the food in a timely manner is a major detraction to what would have been a great experience. It took 1 1/2 hours to get our entrees.
Food was great. Lobster tails, carving meats, unlimited buffet and mimosas and bloody Mary's, juices, coffee. Seated immediately with reservation. Problem was not enough staff on duty to clear tables and see to requests. Repeatedly they tried to seat large parties ( over four) st those tiny cocktail hour tables. Us and several other groups we observed. Seemed unprepared for large groups. Would give another chance cause good tasting plentiful food. They need to tighten up their front of house with more severs and bus boys.
Went for Mother's Day brunch / space was over crowded and tables very close to each other so hard to get around - was setup as a buffet but very unorganized - would have been better if waiters would take the orders and bring food back when ready
Will try again but not for a special occasion
Great bar friendly attentive staff and a small menu but excellent food !
