This was my first visit to the new location and I went there to celebrate my birthday. I thought the food was great, although the portion of the Duck Confit was a bit small for dinner. Overall, everything was great, but I was disappointed that the wine we brought was not opened immediately so that it could breathe (despite my request that the waiter do so). It took him quite a while to open it so by the time it did fully breathe, we were down to our last few sips. If a restaurant is going to charge $35 as a corkage fee, then I feel there should be proper service to go along with that fee. It simply wasn't there. Everything else was good though, so I would try it again...just not with an expensive bottle of wine from home!!

My wife and I have dined at this restaurant on numerous occasions when it was located in Costa Mesa. All of our meals were outstanding. In the new place the food is still exquisite especially the duck breast and the veal cheek. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great food at moderate prices. It is a little expensive but well worth the money.

We have dined at Marche Moderne for many years. This was our first time at its new location. Our charcuterie selections (pig, foie gras) were excellent. The salad (chopped) was fine but not noteworthy. Our entrees (duck, lamb) were flavorful but, in our opinion, oversauced. Desserts (cheese, gateau breton) were tasty. Wait service started out well but flagged toward the end of the meal. We dined on a Monday night and it was noisy.

They were not very accommodating on any food sensitivities I had. If the sauce has something you can’t eat they are unwilling to make any modifications. Very disappointed with their less than helpful attitude!

Great new digs (used to be in South Coast Plaza), food was as always tasty and creative, server was really good, prices are in line with the quality of food, but the noise level was intolerable!
