Wow, this place is amazing! This was our second visit to Marche Moderne and it exceeded the first, which was outstanding. Food and service are simply the best. The food is unique and inventive and the array of different tastes keeps you wanting more. We were fortunate to sit by the glass surrounding the kitchen and got to watch much of the food preparation and it was so interesting to see the care and thought that goes into every dish. The pride of the kitchen staff is very evident. I had duck and my wife had black bass and both were excellent. The most amazing dish we had all night was the octopus 2007 appetizer. It was like nothing we've ever had before. So many different tastes, it's impossible to describe. If it's on the menu, get it. Our server was Mike and he was one of the best we've ever had, anywhere. Attentive, helpful and so very personable. I can't say enough about Marche Moderne other than I wish we lived closer. On the other hand, that would be a disaster for my waistline. Oh well.....

5 Stars all around, the food was incredible! I enjoyed the Short Ribs, they were delicious and it was a huge portion, I also had the Asian Pear & Oven Dried Pear Salad which was to die for. My friend had the Monday Spontane Supper, the shrimp & scallops were perfection and I've been dreaming about the Coffee Vanilla Panna Cotta Macaroon. I can't begin to describe how delicious everything was down to the butter served with the bread!

Our dining experience at Marche Modern was fabulous! Our server, Keri, was most special. Since it was our first time at the restaurant, we felt overwhelmed with all the extraordinary choices, especially the outstanding appetizers. Keri took her time defining and explaining choices off as well as on the menu. Throughout the evening, the service was superb, the glass exposed kitchen a scene to behold, the food delicious, and the ambiance delightful.
The noise level was a bit high, but it was crowded.
The Duck Mousse is to die for. The food was delicious, and beautiful presentation.
Picked this restaurant as it is my favorite and my sisters favorite. She drove up from Del Mar with another friend and I drove in from Garden Grove and another friend drove over from Mission Viejo. That's how much we like Marche Moderne. We get together for our birthdays and everyone always wants to spend it at Marche Moderne. My husband loves the restaurant so we try and go when we get a chance. Always very pleased with our meals and deserts are to die for.

Being French, I must admit that we are quite picky on the Service in a restaurant (my guest was also French). The level of service of our waitress was far from being consistent with the standing of this venue. Also we disliked that the staff was speeding us up to finish our dishes, the quality of food makes us want to appreciate it and you don't want to rush to eat your plate, you need to take your time. Some of the staff did not understand that which undermined our experience (dinner on Saturday). The food is Absolutely excellent and well presented in the plates and for that reason I will try again to visit this place. Thank you
Dinner to celebrate my birthday was enjoyed by all. Two of us had the coq au vin and it was absolutely delicious. Service was wonderful and the evening was enjoyable. We will return.

Fantastic! Cassoulet was inspired. Steak Tartare was THE BEST, ever. Aaron was the consummate professional. Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, warm and welcoming. Every recommendation was spot on.
It was cassoulet week at Marche and it was fabulous! I had the best table in the house and I love Amelia & Florent. My waiter was not experienced enough to handle my single table and did not bring my to go bag soon enough for me to Uber successfully. He was a little bit out of his element. You should have better servers
AMAZING......as always! Got the email that Florin (owner/chef) was making his world famous cassoulet......and it was even better than I remembered from the last winter he made cassoulet! Amelia’s chopped salad was perfect as a starter course....including the French feta....yum!
Long time wait staff very graciously acknowledged our visit and were very prompt at extending our congratulations to Florin for his exquisite presentation.......the kitchen is very visible and you could see Florin beam !

The overall was very good for my first experience. Unfortunately, the "regulars" think they're money is better than mine and were extremely rude and demanding to our food server, "Hey, bring more wine wine" was something the table next to me yelled. I was cut in front of when we checked in by an "old man" (I'm 64 yrs) who was in such a hurry to be seated.
Overall the place is outstanding! Don’t miss the Hamachi starter, amazing. The server was awesome with informed recommendations. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
Always a pleasure to dine here. Bear in mind unless you're hungry a few hefty appetizers shall suffice. We shared three (steak tartare, bone marrow and a seafood plate) and two of us were not able to finished a shared steak frites.
I haven't been to this new location since the opening. I am glad I did. Everything about the restaurant, the food, the service and the ambiance met my expectation. I love the view of the kitchen, and a small bar ( I wish it was a bit bigger) I came with a friend for my belated birthday, and my friend wanted to order a lot. We ordered Oysters, Duck confit, Hamachi, a Tuna dish that was not on the menu because I believe the one we want wasn't available, and my friend wanted something raw so the chef created something at the last minute. Last but not least we also ordered a dessert to share. I love everything except the tuna dish where I could smell and taste strong Indian curry in the ingredients.
Overall experience was wonderful. I definitely come back to try different dishes.

Awesome as usual. The new items on the menu are beyond expectation such as the suckling pig and duck breast medallions. I frequented the other location in SCP when they were still there but I think the menu in the new location is much better!
